| Oct 4 07:59:45 | The totally-safe-and-explosion-free Heist | ♥ 1 | Nice game! I liked the BUllet graphic, and the sound was great. I also liked the idea of adding a lot of branching paths to confuse the player and increase the chance to encounter living enemies, although I usually managed to backtrack properly. The bullets and lives carrying over between levels felt weird, as they were playable in any order anyway, but other than that, good entry! | |
| Oct 4 08:33:27 | 33m 42s | Unstable Concoction | ♥ 1 | Nice game! I really liked the graphics, and the game-play was pretty fun. I also liked all the little order stories. However, I felt like recipes were a bit too sparse - almost every combination was unstable. I think that having more potions and less ingredients would go a long way into making this less frustrating. Overall, great entry! |
| Oct 4 08:52:48 | 19m 21s | Chaos Cube | ♥ 1 | Really nice game! I really liked the gameplay - it was quite addicting. At first, I didn't read the rules and managed to last 5:46 minutes. Afterwards, I felt I could go on pretty indefinitely, what with the heals and relatively low difficulty. I feel like the grey blocks should maybe arrive earlier to make the game more challenging. Other than that, great entry! |
| Oct 4 09:33:18 | 40m 30s | Warhead Stroll | ♥ 1 | Incredible game! I loved the artstyle, and gimmick was fun. The humor and text were great too. However, I felt like the last boss was way too hard - mostly because some of the attacks felt rather unfair, frankly. The long knives attacks were great, as they were predictable and offered you enough time to react once you memorized them. All other attacks, however, had a mixture of incredibly short start-up (I usually died in less than second during the axe and rotating knives attacks), being two attacks in ones (even when I managed to evade a short/spinning knife or axe, I usually still died by another one that passed the target) or unpredictability (I still don't know how to reliably evade the spinning knives - all other attacks are pretty consistent, at least). This made the boss feel more luck based than skill or memorization based. In addition, Old Rogers didn't affect the fight at all 90% of the time, except when randomly dying to a group of knives or when I bumped into him too fast. This could turn perfectly good runs into failures based on things usually outside my control, increasing the randomness and frustration. I think that adding attacks that only affect him, or just removing him from the fight entirely, would've been better. Overall, I really liked your game - all the negative feedback about the boss is mostly me venting my frustration. Great entry! Screenshot 2021-10-04 122313.png |
| Oct 4 11:30:45 | 1h 57m | Spherry | ♥ 1 | Very cute game! I really liked the wave and cat graphics. I don't think that's the intended experience, but I played solely for distance, so I reached 5795m when I lost my last cat (and ended up with the amazing score of 0). The waves got absurdly high at that distance, which was pretty fun. Overall, good entry! |
| Oct 4 15:06:01 | 3h 35m | Weather Control Device | ♥ 1 | Nice game! I really liked the graphics - especially the weather effects and how they changed every sprite. Your take on the theme is also very original, and I liked the randomly generated levels. The text disappeared too fast - I had to open the game multiple times to read it - and both the player and enemies could hurt each other off-screen, but other than that, good game! |
| Oct 6 09:45:32 | 42h 39m | Plains In The Sky | ♥ 1 | Amazing games! I loved the graphics and SFX. It had a pretty large amount of content too - I did not expect there to be a second chapter! I had a bug where a sheep didn't fully rotate around - only ~160 degrees instead of 180 - which caused her to fall off when hit next, and the shadows felt a bit too anti-aliased for the art-style, but other than that, incredible entry! |
| Oct 6 12:32:55 | 2h 47m | Cave Supply | ♥ 1 | Nice game! I really liked all the visual effects - they were great! The premise of a coin making machine being essential to the city is pretty funny too. I felt like I could survive indefinitely - I quit after 5:10 minutes - so I think ramping up the difficulty as the game goes by would be nice. Other than that, good entry! |
| Oct 6 12:45:49 | 12m 54s | False Angel | ♥ 1 | Amazing game! I loved the graphics and musics, and all the different levels (although the second level was a bit too hard as others have said). The first level, alongside the graphics and Icarus-style story, really reminded me of Kid Icarus. I had a bug in the first level where after teleporting to the other side, the block below me immediately fell away, and I think the whole game could really use some checkpoints, but other than that, great entry! |
| Oct 7 09:33:43 | 20h 47m | Runstable | ♥ 1 | Very nice game! I really liked the graphics and sounds. The wall running was cool, even though it doesn't really make sense (but then again, it's a game, being cool is more important :)). I had a bug where the first black booster had the wall running tutorial instead of the booster's one (I was playing on 1.0.1), and I managed to cheese a few parts by jumping on rocks in the wall, but other than that, great entry! |
| Oct 7 09:50:58 | 17m 15s | Megalomania | ♥ 1 | Great game! I loved the concept and all the absurd events. It was surpsrisingly fun. I felt like the event spawn rate should increase as the game goes on, to remain consistant during the whole game - right now, I had more events than I could follow at the start, then basically nothing near the end. Other than that, it was really good! I managed to finish it in 11:23 minutes. |
| Oct 7 15:35:50 | 5h 44m | A boat in the storm | ♥ 1 | Amazing game! One of my favorites thus far. I loved the artstyle, and the sound was incredible - both the music and the sound effects. My highscore was 32 miles - arrrrr! My only gripe was that twice I died while going in the right direction - the water was faster than I could rotate, which meant I couldn't do anything to survive, which felt bad. Other than that, incredible entry! And one last thing - I'd love to see the changelog between the compo version and the latest one (besides the fixing playing outside fullscreen). |
| Oct 8 10:28:21 | 18h 52m | Push Comes to Shove | ♥ 1 | It's not much of a game, but I really liked the idea and pun here. I think it would've been better to write that W is "push" and Up is "shove" (or vice versa) to further reinforce the title. Otherwise, nice entry! |
| Oct 8 10:56:14 | 27m 53s | when the earth falters | ♥ 2 | Great game! I loved the very detailed 3D exploration hub and the relaxed atmosphere. The idea of the story was also nice, if a bit underdeveloped. I liked how it's essentially two games in one. The puzzles were pretty fun. Some feedback: I liked aiming for the minimum amount of commands in each puzzle. I know it's not really the goal, but I think it would've been nice seeing the the ideal amount of steps somewhere. I think using clockwise/anti-clockwise would've been more intuitive than right/left in the rotation page, at least for me. I thought pressing No in the "report for evacuation" screen meant exploring the hub a bit more before finishing the game and not a real choice - perhaps it could've been better communicated? But maybe it's just me. Other than that, good job! |
| Oct 10 10:03:50 | 47h 07m | Infiniraft | ♥ 1 | Nice game! I won in 3.12 minutes. I liked the idea and gameplay. I felt that there were slightly too many times where I had to take damage (aka no path from my current raft to the next one) - I think reducing the amount of health while increasing connectivity would've been better. Other than that, good entry! |
| Oct 10 10:27:25 | 23m 35s | Black Ice Fracture | ♥ 1 | Nice game! I really liked the graphics and the ambient sounds. While I usually prefer grid-based controls for these kinds of games, it was pretty fun just driving around the ice. The bug with falling with cargo was pretty harmful - it softlocked me twice - but otherwise, good entry! |
| Oct 10 10:42:11 | 14m 46s | Meltdown | ♥ 1 | Incredible game! One of my favorites thus far. I loved the art and music - they're both extremely good and varied. The amount of content is astounding. I almost softlocked myself multiple times due to the destructible terrain, but I managed to win eventually (it took me 546.2 seconds, however). I felt like the shooting knockback wasn't strong enough to be relevant and rarely used it, but otherwise, amazing entry! |
| Oct 11 11:33:30 | 24h 51m | Operation Un-Stable | ♥ 1 | Really nice game! I loved the premise and the music. I also liked the speed of the game - it really felt like going very fast while also been responsive enough most of the time due to the warning signs. There were a few times where I passed through a stable, and I felt like moving up/down was slightly too slow, but otherwise, great entry! My highscore was 1900. |
| Oct 11 11:48:17 | 14m 47s | I found the legendary weapon that made me a hero and i'm going to fight the ... | ♥ 1 | Nice game! I really liked the premise, and how it became harder and harder to stay on as the game progressed. I also liked all the stuff the players & enemies said, albeit I rarely had time to read it. Pressing so many keys at the same time was too much for me near the end - I reached the tall one twice, but couldn't beat it... I think adding checkpoints between fights would've helped. Other than that, great entry! |
| Oct 15 15:17:08 | 99h 28m | Mercenary Diaries | ♥ 4 | Nice game! I liked your idea, and all the procedurally-generated faces & missions. The UI was also pretty great. The game felt like it was missing a goal - why was I hiring all these mercenaries and taking missions for? Also, I only used the pain meds, as physical & mental health usually degraded at the same rate. Other than that, good entry! |
| Oct 15 15:28:12 | 11m 04s | Where the wind blows | ♥ 1 | Very nice game! I really liked the concept you described, even though it's not really understandable in-game - which makes sense considering the harsh time limit. The amount of levels was pretty impressive, and the mechanics were enjoyable. It felt like a proof of concept, but all the post-compo ideas sound like great additions to turn it into more of game. The time UI blended with the floor (as it was also white), but other than that, good entry! |
| Oct 21 11:59:51 | 140h 31m | Mood Swings | ♥ 0 | Great game! I loved your take on the theme, and the implementation with literal mood swings is incredible. The puzzles were also pretty nice, and have a ton of potential for more levels. The way that the whole level changed alongside your mood was a very nice touch. I felt like adding checkpoints would greatly reduce frustration, and there was a bug where Anger didn't change the background, but other than that, amazing entry! |
| Oct 21 12:26:50 | 26m 59s | Tunnel Taupe | ♥ 1 | Incredible game! One of my favorites thus far. The gameplay was extremely good, and I really enjoyed the amount of content it had - I spent around 15 minutes playing it. The first time I encountered the caterpillar enemy was great - it was pretty scary - and once I realized you could kill monsters with cave-ins, I was mindblown. And there are also the awesome graphics and good music. I think adding a slight pause/effect when encountering lava or monsters to reduce accidental suicides (most of my deaths were because I pressed buttons too fast) would help, but other than that, amazing entry! My highscore was 437. |
