May 1 15:47:40 Date Night ♥ 2 Nice, I especially liked the audio, that coffee machine made me want a coffee :P The music is really nice and relaxing. The graphics were nice - although simple, they fit the game. Gameplay was pretty simple, but as it was short it didn't get boring.
May 1 16:01:17 13m 37s Hecode ♥ 2 Nice audio - background music was soothing, and the pickup sound was satisfying. It would have been good to have some feedback (auditory or otherwise) when you get attacked, it wasn't always clear, but then I looked up and saw I was almost out of health :P Also seems like you have an attack animation but can't actually hit them? I like the graphics too - simple but well executed. Would be nice (if you have more time) to add some extras to the level, like obstructions or walls to mix them up. Nice entry!
May 1 18:12:00 2h 10m Penguin Paradise ♥ 2 Nice Idle game! I played this for quite a long time also. I'm not really a fan of idle games in general because they always consume all of my time haha. But this was good looking, had nice music, and a good theme. I also liked the mining graphic on the right - nice touch! Noticed 2 bugs: - If you click the 'build' button while also over a building, it opens both menus (should only open build) - The monument percentage resets to zero if you deselect it... Also it would be good to have some animation on the main map, like penguins walking around or movement in the buildings just to bring them to life! So I didn't wait for the monument to be finished, but did make it that far - all in all, a very nice entry, good job! Capture.PNG
May 9 16:34:43 190h 22m Deep Dark Discoveries ♥ 1 Nice game with fantastic mood. The graphics were simple, but the randomly generated (I assume) level looked really natural and organic, and the jellyfish were very cool. I agree the controls could do with being a bit more responsive, even if it had to consume some fuel for WASD move. I also liked the sound and music, it was very relaxing to play. My only issue is I made it down to about 2.2k depth, and it was _really_ difficult to see, which a) meant I couldn't appreciate the scenery and b) meant it felt pretty random whether I was successful in getting deeper. Fantastic Compo entry though! Feels great and well polished!
May 9 16:42:17 7m 34s Falling For Treasure ♥ 1 I managed to get to 5 score, but this was really difficult! Love the style and artwork, animation would have been really nice, but graphics were nicely done nonetheless. The music was cool too, with a different tune for every gem, kept things mixed up. As others have said, the character's movement is really slippery, would be really good to try to tighten that up because its really difficult to control. I would also recommend shrinking the enemy hitboxes a bit - it felt a bit unfair when I was killed by a spike bug without even touching it! Also bold move making your own font! It looks cool!
May 9 16:52:21 10m 04s Googoo ♥ 2 Atmospheric game, nice to explore! Not much gameplay, but it was beautiful, with each level being very different aesthetically. For some reason it was using 100% GPU? Probably worth turning on VSync or some frame rate cap just to stop screaming fans :P Nice entry!
May 9 17:31:56 39m 35s Infiltr8 ♥ 1 Nice, I like the music, and how it gets more intense as you go deeper! I used the version with 'Z', and it removes what I imagine would otherwise be a massive grind - but enjoyed the game! keeping track of everything between the depths was fun! Really nice graphics too, suited the style!
May 15 10:26:51 136h 54m FALL GUY ♥ 0 Nice simple graphics, sounds and gameplay, and very well executed! The jumping feels very satisfying, and while I think it would be nice to have some visual indication of how charged your jump is, it was simple enough to figure it out as you played. I do like that the mechanics are so simple that you can just figure them out as you play, without the need for an explicit tutorial or instructions! Nice difficulty curve too. I don't think I was the best player, but still completed it and was engaged throughout! Nice one!
May 15 10:59:16 32m 25s Subterrene ♥ 0 Nice entry! I played the Jam version. I liked the graphics - they worked very well. The lighting especially was a great way to be able to 'see' ahead, without actually having that much view distance. The trail and camera were nicely done too. Sound was simple but effective. One minor camera glitch when the mouse cursor is directly up, a little jarring. Would also be good to have some kind of end goal I think, rather than 'make this number go up'. I enjoyed though, nice job! After writing this, I tried out the latest version - There's a massive difference between the day 1 and updated versions, and a great improvement (but in the spirit of the Jam, I'm rating the Day 1 one). Good to see you're still working on it!
May 17 21:00:48 58h 01m Badger Break-In ♥ 1 Nice one! Really nice looking, with great animations. Love the Chamele-gun! haha I think it was a little difficult to control, didn't feel quite responsive enough. Especially with the honey jumping, and the low gravity. I did manage to defeat the boss after several tries though - definitely enjoyed that! However think there was some glitch where the character just kept running into the royal jelly and didn't go any further? Not sure if something was supposed to happen. Great entry!
May 17 21:11:14 10m 26s Speleo ♥ 1 Music is great! The cave noises in the background are a great touch, and all of the sound fits nicely together. Simple gameplay, but it worked and was well polished. Controls felt a little unresponsive, I think it would be better to move on key-down rather than key-up. I did accidentally move one too many squares a couple of times and suffer death-by-rat :P But maybe I'm just bad! All in all, nice entry and I learned what a "speleologist" is!
May 18 23:06:48 25h 55m Brinebeard's Folly ♥ 0 Apologies, I played this after ratings closed on recommendation of @teto, but wanted to say great game! Nice gameplay loop of adding time constraints and a metagame to minesweeper! I enjoyed it and played all the way to the crown - great fun!
