| Oct 6 05:53:37 | LooperJumper | ♥ 1 | The controls end up feeling extremely jerky, and not in a way that ends up being compelling to me. There's definitely a solid concept, with solid humor and graphics to carry it. However, it does not make me want to play more than a few tries at the moment. | |
| Oct 6 06:09:05 | 15m 28s | Day in the Life of an Ordinary Turtle | ♥ 1 | It absolutely nails the theme, the art is great, the music is quite pleasant and the sound effects complement the theme really well (you kinda just wanna vibe to the music, but the horrible sound of your boss churning overpowers it). Of course it's not exactly a *fun* game, but that obviously isn't the point 😄 A good execution on a solid premise! |
| Oct 6 06:17:16 | 8m 11s | BoreOut! | ♥ 1 | It's a vert cute concept :) The managers end up being a bit too much a damper on the fun in the long run, but the game is definitely a mood. |
| Oct 6 06:32:30 | 15m 14s | TALLY MARKS | ♥ 1 | This game absolutely nails it's aesthetic, very well done. I think the throw mechanic could have benefit from some more flexibility, and think another button than the mouse would have made more sense for attacks. Overall though: extremely good job! |
| Oct 6 06:48:10 | 15m 40s | WORK ROUTINE | ♥ 2 | The concept sells the themes extremely well. Audio and music work very well to make the daily grind feel like an exceptionally tedious video game. Things you interact with mostly functioning as collectibles was a very nice touch in how arbitrary the whole thing feels. Which is appropriately depressing when applied to a real job! 😫 |
| Oct 6 06:53:40 | 5m 30s | Time in disorder | ♥ 1 | This is a really good effort for your first game! I really recommend studying how old platformers handled jump physics, because the very sharp up down turn in this one feels pretty jarring. I'll also third the advice from @pleb2. Again though, this was a nice project to see. Keep at it! |
| Oct 6 07:22:22 | 28m 42s | Kill the Zombies | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed the look of the zombies a lot! |
| Oct 6 07:27:54 | 5m 32s | Help! I Set Off a Bomb! | ♥ 1 | The basic gameplay is solid and I really enjoyed the SFX/music/art assets |
| Oct 6 07:44:10 | 16m 16s | Space Loop | ♥ 3 | I liked this, exploring the ship and solving puzzles was fun and atmospheric. The implementation of the theme, while valid, didn't add much for me in terms of enjoyment however. 😅 |
| Oct 6 08:03:13 | 19m 03s | BL0CK | ♥ 3 | All-around good game. Solid puzzle gimmick, spoopy atmosphere and generally enjoyable. |
| Oct 6 12:59:26 | 4h 56m | Vampire Problems | ♥ 1 | Really good art for this game. The basic mechanics are a bit confusing since there are no indicators for how far your attack reaches. Also, the balance between enemies was a bit off. Crossbow enemies can pick you apart from the other side of the level with ease while most melee enemies just get kited for free. Overall it's nice, cute game jam title. Good work! |
| Oct 6 13:12:27 | 13m 01s | Looper Cooper | ♥ 1 | It's a really impressive game to have put together in 48 hours. Gameplay was more difficult than I could really handle, but reminds me of other well-made games with similar mechanics. All told, it's a really great entry! |
| Oct 6 13:21:14 | 8m 47s | Co-Routine | ♥ 1 | Really solid concept that ended up feeling kind of buggy because I often couldn't swap robots at the nodes I was expecting. This seemed to be a collision detection issue a lot of the time, because if I kept moving and mashing it eventually worked. I'd love to see a polished up version of the game, because I really enjoyed it when it was working as exoected! |
| Oct 6 13:36:16 | 15m 02s | StackOverflow | ♥ 1 | Was told "Close the program" so I closed the program. Did I do it right? I rate: stuck/loop |
| Oct 6 13:46:01 | 9m 45s | Infinitely Worse - A Necromantic Adventure | ♥ 0 | I like this take on the idle/clicker genre. Fits the theme well and everything! Not much else to say, it does what it sets out to do and does it well. |
| Oct 6 14:10:47 | 24m 46s | Spincar | ♥ 1 | Overall solid tech demo, was fun seeing how hard you could crash into something |
| Oct 6 14:18:09 | 7m 22s | Cursed Temple | ♥ 1 | Looks stellar and has a really interesting gimmick to it. I think there ended up being a bit too little going on when you were recording inputs, but that's honestly a quibble. Really the type of game I love to see from a game jam! |
| Oct 6 14:27:42 | 9m 33s | Chamber | ♥ 0 | This was really good. Some very clear inspiration from something like Binding of Isaac, but it has enough of its own identity to not feel derivative. The way you get to build your own challenges feels really cleaver and creative. The graphics and sound are top notch as well. Really impressive jam title! |
| Oct 6 14:40:16 | 12m 34s | Cursed Deck | ♥ 1 | It's an interesting concept that works out pretty well for a game jam game. Something like this as a multiplayer titles might have potential. |
| Oct 6 14:44:54 | 4m 38s | Hyper Hamster | ♥ 1 | I love the very literal take on the theme! The goofy aesthetic really sells this game. |
| Oct 6 14:55:00 | 10m 06s | Neverending Duck War | ♥ 1 | It's a cute yet very sinister game, points for that. The gameplay works well, but I'd have preferred that the map be smaller overall, I think. It would also be generally helpful if attack enemy ducks felt more consistent. So, minor gripes, but really impressive game overall. It's fun! |
| Oct 6 15:03:11 | 8m 11s | Stranger | ♥ 0 | The atmosphere was great and there are some truly impressive physics here for a jam game. Sadly, the portals just did not seem to work very consistently on my end, which limited my enjoyment of it. |
| Oct 6 15:15:12 | 12m 01s | Skycrawler | ♥ 0 | I absolutely adored this one. Hits a lot of notes that I enjoy. Platformer with a puzzly gimmick and a relaxed aesthetic is a good start. Then it just does all of those things so well. Yeah, this is probably one of my favorite entries so far this time around. |
| Oct 7 17:17:41 | 26h 02m | Late To Work: Escape the Mundane | ♥ 0 | I really enjoyed the thematic implementation, graphics and sound of this one. Unfortunately I figured out pretty early that you could just walk along and mash 'W', which made the gameplay rather trivial. This was a solid jam game overall, in my opinion. |
| Oct 7 17:29:00 | 11m 19s | Infinite Nightmares | ♥ 5 | Stellar pixel work, very well done! The game did an overall solid job of carrying the aesthetic in a relevant way, very spoopy. I though the mirror scare was a bit forced but otherwise this was really good! |
| Oct 7 17:44:51 | 15m 51s | Car Looper | ♥ 1 | This was fun! Thanks for stopping by the stream! 😄 |
