Oct 5 20:38:20 Vicious Circle ♥ 1 First game of the compo I've tried out today and I don't know how any other beats this one. The music and visuals combined in a very zen-like way, while the theme was brought out literally through the loops as well as the general gameplay of trying to raise out of the loops. I also liked the escalation as get farther away from the center of the level layerings.
Oct 5 20:49:02 10m 42s Keys and Goblins ♥ 1 I really liked a lot of the graphical elements here, from the sprites to the radial lighting and overall mood. Controls were very tight and I enjoyed the ability to zoom in and out. Could easily see pouring hours into a rogue-like or dungeon crawl with these controls and feel.
Oct 5 21:18:51 29m 49s The Myth of Sisyphos ♥ 1 Surprisingly fun for what was meant to be eternal punishment. The additions each loop were fun, and that music loop was really well done alongside the other sound effects.
Oct 5 21:49:24 30m 33s Lovely Planet (Travel the World) ♥ 1 Takes me back to some classic games I spent too much time trying to get a score on. Really like the style and the literal loop it puts the player on. Could see how this could be expanded on and all the obstacles that could be added.
Oct 5 22:02:01 12m 37s While we are here - stuck in a loop ♥ 1 Very creative, immediately jumps out with its innovation and take on the theme, and plays up well to people who appreciate programming games, especially me.
Oct 5 22:08:09 6m 08s Stuck on a Hyperloop ♥ 1 Doing a 3D story-based godot game for the compo really is an undertaking, but I think it came out super polished, great looking, and great sounding, too. Playing it in the browser was a bit tough but worked fine when I downloaded it (at least that was my experience). Great job!
Oct 5 22:14:16 6m 07s The Lost Frog ♥ 1 I like how due to the loop nature of the stage, future hazards are teased beforehand. The sprites were great between the level itself and the character. My biggest feedback would be since the wind-up of the jump matters, some sort of indicator of maximum height or "best jump" would go a long way.
Oct 5 22:20:46 6m 30s Loop Runners ♥ 1 The opponent kicks my butt but that's okay because this game's music, sounds, and graphics are just so pleasant. The power ups and general bumpy-racing were a lot of fun and this game makes me wonder how so many kinds of other abilities and tracks could be done for it. Great job!
Oct 5 22:29:52 9m 06s The Loop ♥ 2 Love the characters and music while trying to do these puzzles. The narrative and character stuff worked well, especially as each character really stood out with their designs.
Oct 5 22:31:58 2m 06s Hyperloop ♥ 2 This was fun! The ship felt pretty hefty and I really dug the low-poly look, which 3D is always impressive to see in a compo and worked great here.
Oct 5 22:37:08 5m 10s Puzzle Pong ♥ 1 A really relaxing puzzle with a satisfying gameplay loop of seeing the ball in action. The music helped with it feeling pretty chill, and the graphics helped keep everything readable and easy to navigate.
Oct 6 21:55:27 23h 18m BLOOP ♥ 1 Phenomenal stuff! The presentation and graphics were top notch along with the sound design. I love a gamejam entry that nails the theme from the get go, and the rapid introduction nailed it pretty quickly, and made me keep playing to see the beginning and ends of the loop. Just gotta say I love the art style a ton and makes me want to get better at having a style in my own projects.
Oct 6 22:10:14 14m 47s Cotton Candy Dream ♥ 1 The colors and low poly look combine to make for a very visually appealing experience, and ball-rolling games are always a ton of fun to play. Worked pretty well in the browser too.
Oct 6 22:26:36 16m 22s The Ring Of Happiness ♥ 1 Voxels! I can't understate how great and whimsical this looks, and even the little voxel box the story takes place in animates like it's caught in a loop. Also certainly the game that's best used the loop aspect as part of its humor.
Oct 6 22:47:57 21m 21s That Time I Was Held Hostage By Some Loop, So I Followed The Road And I Was Fine ♥ 1 Your great game titles continue with this year's entry. I just love the pixel art here and the style of the characters and trees, and the voice acting was such a good addition. Totally anxiety-inducing when you get to later loops but really made me want to see how it'd escalate.
Oct 8 00:03:27 25h 15m Frozen Potency ♥ 1 Hilarious take on being stuck in a loop that made me keep wanting to play. I enjoyed the mood a bunch and the physics-based gameplay kept it hectic and fun.
Oct 8 00:12:02 8m 35s We need to talk ♥ 1 It's the kind of games that makes you re-evaluate what it means to take on the theme of a game jam like this. Immediately clever, and metaphorical on different levels based on how much you want to read into it, but also touching to just play and has a lot of heart. On a more basic gameplay level using cards for dialogue is a lot of fun, too, but the initial impression it leaves is probably the most impressive I've seen of all the compo, so I really hope this wins.
Oct 9 02:21:42 26h 09m The experiment ♥ 2 Sells its concept really fast and is immediately open to a bunch of ideas of how this jam game could explode out into a bunch of neat concepts. Great job!
Oct 9 02:24:35 2m 53s Ghosts in Limbo ♥ 0 Loved this! The art was a lot of fun and the whole game and concept was a lot of fun to play. I'd much rather a fully realized game concept that doesn't overstay and leaves you wanting more. There was just so much charm here.
Oct 9 02:30:05 5m 30s Lethal Loop ♥ 1 A really creative usage of the loop theme! It added a lot of strategy and was fun to try and wrap my mind around. The art was great and I appreciate all the systems in this compo working together. You can feel all the heart and energy that went into this entry.
Oct 9 02:40:51 10m 46s The Bards Tale ♥ 1 A really cute entry! The sprite work was really fun, as fun as it was to explore around. Great job on the music too, fitting for a bard's tale!
Oct 9 02:56:55 16m 04s Uncover The Loop ♥ 1 Really like the usage of clues as part of the game and the general look. Great job on the submission!
Oct 9 03:03:20 6m 25s LoopyPong ♥ 1 Oh wow I really love this! The minimalist art and the creative mashing of pong with the theme was a lot of fun to play despite getting my butt kicked at first. Great job with this one, love pretty much everything about this.
Oct 9 03:11:56 8m 36s Crawloop ♥ 1 I really like these kind of graphics, there's something old-school about them, but in an old-school PC way and not 8bit Nintendo. Also a pretty good puzzle time alongside a good use of the theme!
Oct 9 03:25:48 13m 52s Toil of Pnamos ♥ 0 I kind of wish you had the humor category on because I would have easily rated it a five, but thankfully there were other things that nailed the categories too! I loved the art and sound design, and it made typing really fun and engaging. I could imagine how it could be enhanced with something like text-to-speak working on each finished phrase or when a word appears. Great style too!
Oct 9 03:26:50 1m 02s Work Sleep Repeat ♥ 1 Ooof too real. Really nails the mood!
Oct 9 03:28:23 1m 33s Around ♥ 1 What a great look and take on the theme! Really pops and pretty fun to play. Could see this greatly expanded too and left me wanting to play more.
Oct 9 03:35:10 6m 47s Troubleshooter: A Drag and Drop Adventure ♥ 1 The art style combo'd with the audio and voice acting made for a fun atmosphere. Really enjoyed my time with this and dug how it all came together and looked.
