Oct 6 01:19:17 Knights of the Round Torus ♥ 1 Nice job! I like the art, and it's satisfying to get chains of kills with meteors. I was often frustrated by clicking and nothing happening, presumably because I couldn't launch a fireball, so a little more feedback there would have been really nice, maybe the cursor changing when it's ready and/or a failure sound and error effect when trying to launch one and you can't. After I failed once and restarted, I encountered a guy I couldn't afford, but when I clicked "purchase", he seemed to join me anyway. Not sure if that was a bug, or if someone else just joined. Difficulty felt about right, if it was any easier I'd probably still be playing and my mouse arm would be hurting...
Oct 6 01:26:22 7m 05s Word Garden ♥ 1 Neat idea! Some text seems to disappear in weird ways, like when I get near it. Not sure if that's part of the time loop or not, but when I step away it comes back and then disappears again. Definitely adds to the surreality, but feels like a bug ^_^.
Oct 6 01:41:37 15m 15s Loopin' Dungeon ♥ 2 Nice work! I managed to make it through what felt like quite a few levels (maybe 10 or so? room I died in had, I think, two kinds of lizards, bats, and a couple pressure plates). Not sure if it was intentionally part of the "loop", but the first 4 rooms always took exactly 4 tries to find the exit... not sure if I was getting unlucky or being trolled ^_^. Text on the main menu was really hard to read from being blurry, would be better if it's nice, crisp pixel art text or something. When I slash the pushable block it seems to move in a random direction, makes those room pretty frustrating. Controls didn't feel great, mostly because I could not change direction or attack until I fully stopped moving, I guess. Visuals are great!
Oct 6 01:55:10 13m 33s Dwarven Delve ♥ 3 Neat game! On my first try, I apparently missed the part about being able to move, which made it very challenging (and *possibly* a better game...). On my second try, once I realized how to kill monsters, there wasn't much challenge, I got to 133K points when I decided to quit. The rules allow for fixing bugs after submission, so maybe fix the bug with the score not updating on gem pickup! I tired picking up gems, didn't see the score move, so figured it was just a no-op that didn't hurt me, as opposed to monsters, but would have probably played differently if I knew they gave points! Like the visual style, and the music didn't get annoying =).
Oct 6 03:23:44 1h 28m ZBX 9800 ♥ 2 Seems like maybe there's some display issues at some resolutions? I'm using a 16:10 monitor, and seem to not be able to see something (presumably spikes?) killing me off the edge of the screen. zbx8000.png
Oct 6 03:46:35 22m 51s Populatio ♥ 1 I completed the game, but also didn't see a final time :(. Just saw the "Populatio" text, and no buttons or clicking did anything. I was holding space when I landed on the final planet though, I think, maybe it auto-dismissed? Had fun, though! At first I didn't realize I could *hold* space, and was wondering why sometimes I launched with a bit more or less thrust, and spent quite a while flying around wondering if I had achieved a stable orbit... things got easier (but maybe less fun) after I realized I could adjust my thrust. A little sound would have really helped, I think. Each level was a little too same-y, needs a little variety, maybe some static things (asteroids?) that just get in the way.
Oct 6 04:19:33 32m 58s Infinitely Worse - A Necromantic Adventure ♥ 1 I'm disappointed I'm not allowed to crush everything using only my zombie hoard -_-. necro.png Enjoyed it though, really like the clean aesthetic and style.
Oct 7 00:04:57 19h 45m The Bards Tale ♥ 1 Not a bad game! I was able to beat it with only resetting once, which was good, because I really didn't want to have to do the first set of things a third time ^_^. The inconsistent use of keyboard/mouse bothered me - I pressed E to start talking to someone, and then pressed E again thinking it would advance the dialog, but I guess it started a new dialog and/or reset the current one to the beginning, too me a while to realize I had to use the mouse to advance! A timer would have been nice. I liked the style of the art and the music fit very nicely.
Oct 7 00:41:25 36m 28s Loop ♥ 1 Great game, I *really* liked the music, so soothing and didn't get repetitive! The pick-up that changes my rotational direction really messed with me, took quite a while to get past that area. I often found myself about to die and realizing I had made a mistake a bit ago and it was far too late to do anything about it, which is a little frustrating (admittedly that's an issue in my looping game too ^_^). Maybe if I had two buttons and could toggle which direction I was looping... My score: loop.png (I *may* have accumulated an extra hundred loops or so while I was putting some dinner in the oven...)
Oct 7 01:54:03 1h 12m Stuck in a Portal ♥ 0 I love this! Really kept me going all the way until the end. Had a few bugs that were annoying but not game-breaking - occasionally I'd press E to go from my base into the portal, but then immediately warp back to my base with 0 power (just had to wait for it to refill again). Would have *really* liked some feedback on when my inventory was full, I think I was often scrambling to mine a couple more blocks when I was actually long-since full. Sound of course would have helped that, but some text in the middle about "inventory full" when you fail to pick something up would have been really nice.
Oct 8 00:34:20 22h 40m The Curse of Cattenburg ♥ 2 Fantastic art, really loved the style! I just played a game, my encounters were 1 set of rats, then 3 relic bits, and the boss quickly destroyed me. However, upon my death it said "Mobius was defeated", so, yay? =) Maybe that's a bug. Tried another game, and got into a fight with the boss again, my one remaining character had 8 or more hp, Mobius had 12, he activated the Special card, and then it went to the "you win" screen again (not sure if mobius somehow did more than the expected 6 damage and this was a wrong win screen, or if his special actually kills himself, explaining the previous playthrough as well..) Fun, though, while it lasted!
Oct 8 04:41:13 4h 06m LittleBot's puzzling loops ♥ 0 Fun game, loops within loops! I found the levels fairly challenging and fun to think through, and was happy to usually get a solution on my first or second actual execution, which was really satisfying. Would have liked to speed up the playback, I often knew I had a winner and just had to wait to see it play out ^_^.
Oct 8 04:57:06 15m 53s Loops in pool ♥ 1 I often found it hard to tell where tiles were, a light grid overlay would have really helped, as I often found myself going after a tile, only to find out what I thought was a tile was the corner of 4 tiles! I managed to beat the game, score of 753, wherever that comes from ^_^. Really unique and interesting puzzle mechanic! I managed to get myself stuck on my first game (and not enough mana to repair the situation), before I knew what I was doing, but my second game was fun =).
Oct 9 02:13:26 21h 16m Loop Deleter ♥ 1 Level 10 took me quite a while, on that one and a couple levels I didn't quite grasp why it worked or didn't. I dot stuck on (I think) level 12 and couldn't get past it, though -_-. Really challenging puzzle, and interesting! Visuals and audio are good, get the message across.
Oct 9 02:28:21 14m 55s Looping Robot ♥ 1 Losing my command list when I reset is really annoying :(. It would be nice to have a way to increase the speed, especially on the couple levels that seem to only have a *really* slow solution (level... 8 maybe?). It seems that 3 different levels all had the same solution (fighting levels), which was kind of boring, but I guess you ran out of time to make levels =). Audio and graphics fit the game nicely.
Oct 10 14:01:15 35h 32m Stuck in a loop ♥ 1 The mechanics were a very pleasant surprise after playing 3 other identical-looking instruction-programming games here ^_^. I was surprised my commands weren't executed in a loop, though it does make the levels more interesting. Some levels feel weirdly (though satisfyingly) trial and error rather than puzzle out a clever solution, but that's probably fine. I like the minimalistic graphics.
Oct 10 15:37:12 1h 35m Tomb of the Mummy RL ♥ 1 One thing I didn't realize: I'd get healed/refilled mana between levels (I kept on making sure to be full at the end of a level)! Also, I thought that a gust of wind would make them unable to see me and therefore I could attack them at will, but it seems that is not the case, so (at least on earlier levels?) it's just worse than Exterminating unless you really get stuck in a bad place. Really enjoyed this, felt like a rogue-like/stealth game at times. I managed to beat it, but not a great high score, might have to try again ^_^. Having a leaderboard is always great =).
Oct 10 19:14:06 3h 36m i++ ♥ 1 Got incredibly challenging in the middle, then seemed to get a bit easier. I got 49 coins and was unable to get the 50th, but I'm pretty certain that's intentional =). Really liked the visuals here, simple though they were, and the level design was great!
Oct 13 02:10:21 54h 56m Rim of Zitra ♥ 0 Nice game! I really liked gaining some attributes on some of the times through the loop, as well as exploring the possible paths. Made it through to the end! Good job on the voiceovers.
Oct 13 02:17:40 7m 19s Mouseherd ♥ 1 I thought I was clever on the first couple levels solving them without using arrows, then I realized that mechanic hadn't really been introduced yet ^_^. That was fun, made it through to the end with a score of 294. Wish there were more levels!
Oct 13 02:32:51 15m 11s Plasma ♥ 1 My score was a measly 5300, though I lost a couple astronauts before I released how to keep them stuck in the loop. This is really neat, and seems like a fresh take on some simple gameplay. Quite enjoyed this. Occasionally I ran low/out of ammo without realizing it, it would be nice to have a little indicator (1-3 yellow bars?) right next to your turret when you get low on ammo so you know you're on your last shot!
Oct 13 02:49:27 16m 36s Lost In The Woods ♥ 2 I found the hole! I'm... not quite sure what was going on, though it eventually became clear that the world was not looping in a regular fashion, I couldn't tell if there was any rhyme or reason to how it was looping, so I found the hole mostly by accident, not because of figuring anything out. Fails as a puzzle game, but succeeds as a surreal adventure =).
Oct 13 02:54:47 5m 20s Stuck in Orbit ♥ 1 Nicely done! I always enjoy Pico-8 games =). I managed to get a measly score of 30. The boss ship took a while to beat, and felt harmless the first time, but the second one destroyed me ^_^. I think the game spent too long as slow speeds, maybe it could ramp up a little sooner (but not as fast? it felt like it got way faster around a score 25...).
Oct 13 03:13:03 18m 16s Dungeon Simulator ♥ 1 I really like the concept, but felt like I just got lucky/unlucky. I tried 5 times, even setting up towers exactly like in your image, and these 8 hp heroes just run past getting hit by only one of the fireballs before destroying my poor eye -_-. Then one run I got lucky and they seemed to get stun-locked between two fire and two ice towers, and that went well until one got lucky and missed all of the ice balls and just took my eye out -_-. Made it through 13 heroes though until that happened! Controls were really wonky, it kept moving right before I placed, and switching items seemed super laggy, so I had to memorize how many up arrow presses to push to get to the thing I wanted, which was annoying. Graphics and sound were great, and I did have some fun =).
Oct 13 03:22:35 9m 32s Chrono Drift ♥ 1 Stars in the background looked really nice, and something slightly more than just parallax going on, or were my eyes tricked? Enjoyed this, was very challenging and satisfying. Took me 11 loops to collect all the lil' bits.
Oct 13 03:31:29 8m 54s Time Princess ♥ 1 This was fun, took me a while to realize I was losing *everything* when I died, was wondering why sometimes I got my potions back and sometimes I lost my stats... once I did, I managed to slowly grind so I could one-shot the red skellies, and then the green guy one-shotted me... and that was the end of that, not going to go through that again :(. Some kind of checkpointing or just losing one of each stat or something when you died would have been much more forgiving and would have kept me playing all the way through, probably!
Oct 13 03:40:15 8m 46s Bad Skeleton & the Time Police ♥ 1 That is pretty awesome, really enjoyed this! Like the style of the art, and gameplay was fresh and challenging.
Oct 13 03:46:54 6m 39s Beat Bash ♥ 1 This looks like fun, but I can't see the edges of the screen, on either the downloaded version or the web version even when not full-screen :(. beatbash.png
