Oct 8 10:12:49 Unfold ♥ 1 The game was very good, well done! It did sometimes feel a tad unfair though, since your collisions extended to your head. It doesn't make sense for your head to touch the spikes on the floor, so I think the collisions would have felt more fair if your hitbox was on your feet, instead of the whole body. The last puzzle was my favourite, I think that was the best designed of them all. ❤️
Oct 8 10:28:25 15m 36s The Little Adventure for Slime ♥ 2 I'm sorry, but I got quite stuck on the double jump part. I thought it would be tap space in the air, but that didn't seem to trigger it? Also, the text on some of the tutorial parts went too fast, and I had to come back to this page to get all of the info. I really liked how you handled the incremental powerups though, it sounds like there was a lot more that I didn't uncover.
Oct 8 10:55:20 26m 55s Eventualities ♥ 1 This was really impressive, and for quite a while, you had me fooled. I didn't even realise things were looping, and the 'typical' response was a really smart transition. Although I eventually managed to divorce my wife multiple times which clued me in. Neat how the story opened up, if only the illusion held up a little longer. I still really enjoyed it! ❤️
Oct 9 01:51:59 14h 56m The Song of Calirum ♥ 3 This was a lot of fun, and I will definitely be coming back to this one. I'm glad I got the chance to play! ❤️
Oct 9 04:24:44 2h 32m Hangman With Nothing ♥ 2 Interesting and incredibly polished game, but honestly, the theme integration got a bit annoying. A lot of the puzzles were pop culture based, and I found myself mashing the keyboard and restarting until an answer came out. Because I haven't watched Steins Gate, and didn't care about Minions enough to guess banana (sorry for spoilers...), I ended up cycling through the alphabet. It would have been nice if the puzzles were more general knowledge or actually riddles / puzzles instead of a pop culture quiz. Still though, the ones I understood were really fun, but the mindless wandering and consequential guess, check, restart, destroy text got a bit annoying, especially on the levels where not much 'typing power' was provided. My favourite puzzle was the tutorial one, because it made me feel smart when I filled in the gaps. 👍
Oct 9 04:36:53 12m 09s Nun in the Chamber ♥ 1 I got stuck on the second level, was going to put up a highly negative review, but reread your page and learned how to kill the elite enemies. After that, the game was awesome. Consider putting some sort of ingame tutorial, since before then, I didn't even know that you could throw the gun. ❤️
Oct 9 04:57:59 21m 06s 2 Shoes ♥ 1 This game was incredibly tough to learn. There was so many colours, and since the different hover options were coloured, I assumed that the button colours somehow corresponded to the platforms. Also, you taught the hover mechanic in game, but didn't mention any keyboard controls, so I thought that the mouse was the only control. Could you please improve the tutorial on this page, because it didn't really help. Once I did figure it out though, I got reasonably far, shame that the leaderboard doesn't work on web. ❤️ PS, I loved the options screen, that alone earned you some humour score!
Oct 9 09:21:47 4h 23m Fairytiles ♥ 2 HOLY WOW. I saw a yes / no question, and thought I would break the game by typing money, but nope! Freakin awesome job with that, blew me away and made the story feel dynamic! OMFG the paths are amazing. This is an easy five stars on humour, it's damn amazing. Most of the things I tried gave some output, which is crazy. I spent an hour looking around to find everything, and I think I got most of it, tacos, mayo, voldemort and all. So happy I got to play this, I could only hope for it to be expanded further! ❤️
Oct 9 09:51:03 29m 16s Wicked Wanderings ♥ 1 Awesome game, funny that the game felt so nice and light hearted, but you win by crafting a psychotic episode in a bottle. Dunno why anyone would buy that, yet alone for $1000, but quite funny (and simultaneously depressing). Some of the menu was a bit tedious, combinations of tab, e and double click, but everything was still usable. Very neat little game! ❤️
Oct 9 10:11:44 20m 41s Lost in the Fog ♥ 1 Hahaha, I felt like a damn mountain climber, scaling vertical cliffs with no issue. I don't think that was intended, so I eventually grounded myself and played properly. I had a lot of difficulty figuring out where I was, and what I was doing, but I get the feeling that that was the intention. Neat little atmospheric game!
Oct 9 10:38:34 26m 50s Merge Dungeon ♥ 2 Hey, this game is super cool, I just wanted you to know that the game has a severe logical flaw (that would need resolving if you are developing it further). There is no point in merging stuff. If you attack, it is exactly the same as if you merge then attack. If I have two 128 tiles, I could merge them and attack with 256 damage or play them one at a time, also for 256 damage. Since there isn't any penalty for playing a lot of blocks, or any reward for merging them, there is no need to merge at all, and I found that you could keep the game going by attacking, then moving to spawn a new tile, repeat. You may need to make it so that there is some penalty with attacking, so that you want to kill it in as few attacks as possible? Maybe make it so that higher tiles do exponentially more damage? e.g. 128+128=512. Perhaps the only way to gain health is through attacking? I've thought about it for a bit, and here's an idea. What if each time you attack, it attacks back. No slow health drain, only way to die is by doing too many attacks. Maybe there could be a smaller board, to make it easier to get locked up, since currently that is not possible since you can discard anything. That way, getting locked up would actually be an issue, since that would force you to waste a valuable tile, and take the hit. Another idea: Or rather than damaging the enemy by sacrificing a tile, what if you instead attacked by merging the tile, so that 128+128 deals 128 damage? If you are going to go mobile, this could be better, to avoid the game accidentally registering a swipe as an attack (which is currently the same motion). You could remove the 'attack' gesture all together, which would probably make for a simpler, and more mobile game. I hope you can find a solution that works, but currently the main mechanic is kind of broken. I really liked the sprites and animation, so I hope these ideas can help you improve the game!
Oct 10 01:16:26 14h 37m Minno ♥ 1 This was a really neat puzzle game, I'm glad I got to play it =) Was a bit stuck on the first inventory management level, would have been nice if that control was given in game, but otherwise perfect execution!
Oct 10 01:56:24 39m 58s Woodland Zero ♥ 2 Dude, this game is freakin epic. I really loved it, but I'm afraid to report that I'm too trash to make it onto the leaderboard. I think the enemies are a tad too fast to spawn, and I often couldn't get out of their way. Crazy level of polish though, good job team! ❤️
Oct 10 04:40:26 2h 44m Nobody's Journey ♥ 1 I loved the game a lot, and was going great, but the game didn't transition out of a message properly and is stuck... I was talking to a knight, who was offering me their services. I really enjoyed the game, but unfortunately don't have the time to get back my progress =O
Oct 10 06:34:28 1h 54m Alchemicraft ♥ 2 Noooo, I was really enjoying playing and then the inventory opened and wouldn't close! Now I've lost my awesome progress =( I really loved the game, but it was a bit hard to pick up at first, since you only hold two items and must have two specific items to craft a bigger bag, making it hard to figure out from the get go. The world was also instantly open, so I had no clue what I was meant to be doing. Once I got bag upgrades though, things started getting really cool! ❤️ *please implement saving*
Oct 11 00:19:16 17h 44m Lunar Revenge ♥ 1 I think the game's broken for me, I spawn and am instantly falling out of the world, very slowly.
Oct 11 01:19:26 1h 00m Memoirs Found in a ♥ 2 I got up to the graveyard, and got stuck in a loop after cthulhu showed up. Not sure if this was the end, it felt conclusive, but there's still more areas that I want to visit, and more in the screenshots than I have seen. Not sure if I found a bug, but the game was on some quote '*started with nothing ended with nothing*' and kept looping. The game was really cool and I *loved* the atmosphere. I only wish that it was more obvious what you could interact with, as often I'd look at things, be confident it isn't interactable, then later look again and find it is interactable. It took quite a bit of time and persistence to get to that point, but the cthulhu encounter was worth it ❤️
Oct 11 01:33:47 14m 21s HUMAN ♥ 1 Nooo, game crashed after acquiring smell... Sorry, I didn't think to copy error. Shame that the game doesn't save your progress, I would have loved to keep playing. The graphics and everything was awesome, good job ❤️
Oct 11 01:52:42 18m 55s ZERO: UNDIVIDED HEROES ♥ 1 I really loved that! As a math enthusiast, I love this idea, it's great. It would be even better if you got different weapons, like a multiplication that converts the enemies to zeroes to fight for you. There could also be negative numbers, that you need to fire a square root at to make them imaginary! Awesome game ❤️ EDIT: Oh, I just realised that there is a multiply shot. I now see that it says so in the instructions, but when a player is shown a wall of text, most players will skip it. Avoid walls of text at all costs! With the multiply I was able to get 1771!
Oct 11 02:35:04 42m 22s The Defective Detective ♥ 1 HHEELLPP my stapler fires icecream! Every time I click on the computer... ICECREAM. Awesome game tho, I really loved the humour ❤️
Oct 11 02:49:40 14m 36s Magic Shepherd ♥ 2 This looks interesting, and as a programmer, I am intrigued, but I'd need more / better documentation (preferrably in-game) to make any progress. I was frequently getting unhelpful error messages, and it would be nice if they perhaps linked you to relevent documentation to help you out.
Oct 11 02:56:31 6m 51s Broken Broom Adventure! ♥ 0 Neat start dude, I really like the procedural generation. I was super impressed that every room was accessible, with no four block high jumps required. I think this has actually inspired me to do something procedural with my next game, cos that but with critters would be awesome. ❤️
Oct 11 04:56:42 2h 00m PROJECT BIND ♥ 3 Holy wow, those menu graphics and intro cutscene blew my damn brains away. So dang pretty! The game wasn't quite as compelling tho, I'm not sure what it was, but things felt a tad basic? Honestly not sure what word to pin onto it, but enemies took a long time to kill, everything felt a bit samey, and the game didn't really do much to express itself. Maybe some particles, or more interesting motion than enemies standing still? The weapons felt a bit plain, all firing in the same sort of way, with main difference being the charge time and damage. I still enjoyed the game, it just needed a bit more polish, and some more juicy content. Also, HUGE props to the musician, oof those tracks are good. Both the menu music and game tracks were equally amazing! ❤️
Oct 16 00:25:49 115h 29m Juicefruit Orchard ♥ 1 Ah dang, I need a refund! That shake is friggin ridiculous, and I'm royally stuck. I was at a point of getting so much money, I invested everything into screenshake, not knowing it would render the game unplayable. I haven't invested anything into scarecrows, cos lower difficulty is boring, but that screenshake is simply ridiculous! I really loved the game, and wish that I could seriously refund the shake, cos other than that I was gonna meet the deadline. Awesome game! ❤️
Oct 16 08:30:18 8h 04m The Ninja Chronicles ♥ 1 This was really fun! I played with my friends, and we had some trouble judging the depth, due to the camera angle. It would be nice if shadows went straight down so that you could clearly see what you were over. We really enjoyed it, but it was a bit too tough for us to properly reach the end (however we did manage to get there by ignoring everyone, which was pretty chaotic!) ❤️
Oct 17 06:52:52 22h 22m In the beginning there was NOTHING. ♥ 0 I figured stuff out eventually, which was really cool! One thing I wish though was that I could speed stuff up, cos I'd often have the set up ready, and need to wait an extended period of time for the letters to go where they need to. Another issue was that things kept desyncronising! I'd have a setup that works for a bit, and over time pulls apart, or two parts that hit the machine at slightly the wrong times. I had an issue that I couldn't make the word 'CAN', not sure if that was a desync issue, or if that word isn't in the game's dictionary. I did everything I could think of, but unfortunately couldn't get that can working. A logical issue that you may want to consider was that you could trap letters in an infinite loop, and hold them there until they are needed. When I was constructing my words, the systems weren't that complex, because I set up loops that held the parts I needed. It was a very interesting puzzle, and I would love to complete it, but it was all a bit too slow, with no speed up power, problems with things not merging, and systems desyncing. I really enjoyed it tho, and if this were to be polished up, I would seriously love to go for some of the harder challenges that the achievements put forth! ❤️
Oct 17 11:46:21 4h 53m Shi no ganbo ♥ 3 That was definitely the most 'chunky' game I've seen this LD. There was just so much stuff, to an almost unreasonable level. The game was great, and the only thing that gave away that it was a jam game was that the player movement was lacking polish. Otherwise, it was an amazing experience, I still can't believe that that was made in three days! ❤️
Oct 17 12:08:13 21m 52s Soulless ♥ 1 I unfortunately got stuck on what I think was the last level, I got the jump ability, but I couldn't actually jump. Very polished game, good job creating all of those abilities, enemies and expansive levels. That is some seriously impressive stuff! Since the only graphics were white lines, it was hard to tell which areas were inside the wall, and which was outside. Could have maybe made the fill colour of the wall slightly different from the fill colour of the background? Still though awesome game, I really enjoyed it! ❤️
Oct 17 12:42:46 34m 33s Stranded ♥ 0 I really loved the journal. That just added so much to the game, yet it was such a simple detail. Really helped me connect with the character, and create some mood. Good frickin job, I loved the minimalistic assets! ❤️
Oct 18 01:03:01 12h 20m Oh, It's Nothing ♥ 2 Ahh, this is great! I was perusing he LD feed on the train, and stumbled upon this, pleasantly surprised to see it work on my mobile browser, which I didn’t even think was possible. I haven’t seen a single other game’s web build support that, so I’m bloody impressed, and interested to know what (if any) engine you used! Good job on the game, great atmosphere and I liked the clean presentation of it all. It was all a very nice experience, great for a train ride. ❤️
