| Apr 28 22:43:02 | Grow | ♥ 0 | Very nice game. Love the environment. Curious how far the environment goes or if it ever ends... Also I like the fish's tail animation. | |
| Apr 28 22:43:49 | 47s | Clunky Bird | ♥ 1 | The clunks are a lol. Screen shake is a nice effect too. I like the trade off of lives for power ups. Very nice use of the theme. |
| Apr 28 23:03:02 | 19m 13s | Creating Life! | ♥ 0 | I think this is a nice little game. It's got good flow and even a tutorial. Not a lot of LDs will do that. I also like the idea of a game about meditation. Definitely lends itself to a game that may require one to think a bit. |
| Apr 29 21:48:40 | 22h 45m | It's Our Last Stand | ♥ 1 | after 40 seconds. The first thing that caught my attention was the vehicle with which this game was delivered. A custom website, dedicated for the game. A+ The content is all very detailed from the story, to the music (v nice job) and the graphics. I still don't quite understand how you animated the mother goo, but alas it is a nice animation. The coolest part is the concept, which I don't think I've explored fully so I will have to come back and try again later. But at the moment I can still say the mechanics are interesting, and I'd like to know if anyone has survived for over a minute... |
| Apr 29 21:57:41 | 9m 01s | Ballsy Escape | ♥ 1 | I love having a web build. Takes me back to the good old days of playing flash games on miniclip or addictinggames.com (yes I know they still exist). But anyway points for accessibility, points for level design. Points for your LD page. Great instructions. Love how you even produced graphics for the instructions. It's the little things. I like your interpretation of the theme. I've seen a lot of people go in this direction, which for some reason didn't even occur to me at the start. Thanks for the play. Cheers! |
| Apr 29 22:13:12 | 15m 31s | Your life is CONcurrency | ♥ 2 | Hey saw this one reviewed by ElysiaGriffin. Immediately made me think Mastermind. Which I can see after playing does have some similarities. Mad props for creating a puzzle game for a jam. That's still something I've not been able to pull off. Nice UI, nice file size. And nice marketing ;) cheers! |
| Apr 29 22:35:30 | 22m 18s | Prospector Stanley | ♥ 2 | Love the subtle changes in outfit over time. Great sprites, great animations, great audio. Good progression rates. |
| Apr 29 23:42:09 | 1h 06m | Live battle | ♥ 1 | Nice graphics. modeling rigging and animating in 3D is not easy game jam feat. Well done. I also had a bit of fun with the AI on the drones. Also digging the glow on the sword. |
| Apr 30 23:59:40 | 24h 17m | Nuclear Arms 7: Railway to Heaven | ♥ 2 | This pretty epic in terms of production quality for a jam. The art, especially the cover art is awesome. Sound effects are stellar. And they make me lol. The controls feel good and make sense. I even notice a subtle recoil animation on the gunfire. Very nice! |
| May 1 00:06:22 | 6m 42s | THE SAVER | ♥ 0 | hooooly **** man. That was my reaction the moment I hit space for the first time (well the second time counting the main menu). The punch audio, the character animations - felt really really good. Really responsive, and expressive. The next aha moment was that you could bounce projectiles into others and have them blow up each other. Very fun play. Thanks so much for posting! |
| May 1 00:14:17 | 7m 55s | Truth of life | ♥ 2 | A nice simple game, with a deep, relate-able concept. The way you packaged the source code in with the executable was a LD stroke of genius. Am totally going to copy in the future ⚡️ |
| May 1 00:23:24 | 9m 07s | Anemia | ♥ 1 | This game has a lot of story elements to it. They are clearly conveyed, something, I've had trouble with in the past tbh. The biggest element of completion in a game, in my opinion, is to have a menu, something playable, at least one end screen, and then the ability to restart. I like when i see that in a project. It helps with the longevity of a project as well if it has this closed loop factor. Anyway great work on the audio, the art, and functionality. 10/10 would invest to get this story acted out and mo-capped into a hi-def version. |
| May 1 00:40:26 | 17m 02s | Bloodletter | ♥ 1 | This has a very fun arcade feel to it. The rendering tech is solid. Runs great on my machine, a pretty standard run of the mill cpu, gpu, running windows. I actually enjoyed the audio a great bit. Especially the reward sound. I like the duration, and difficulty ratings. I played normal my first time and found that to be a very nice playthrough. The FPS gun mechanic is very nice. The shotgun feels pretty good. Pretty strong too. Huge chunky shells that can blow up two reapers in one blow. I like how at the end you get that shotgun jump, and I also like how it progresses into a bit of a JQ at the end. Great game, great graphics, great audio. Thanks for sharing! |
| May 1 00:50:08 | 9m 42s | The Poor Rebellion | ♥ 1 | I like the approach. Actually reminds me a lot of my game. Yours has good flow, highly repeatable (makes for a good casual game), nice menu with a high score tracker. A lot of quality audio. I mean this man did his VOs, vocal audio track, and beat box. I'm impressed. Well done! |
| May 2 20:27:53 | 43h 37m | Ballhogs | ♥ 1 | Wow, this is very nice. Graphics are interesting and different, yet the form is just a simple cube. The mechanics take a bit to get to used to. Once you start robbing the enemy of threes with epic jumps, it starts to feel a lot better and get more fun. Nice pacing too, with the back and forth action of a typical basketball game. Great work, and bonus points for web build! |
| May 2 20:37:38 | 9m 45s | Heart To The Sky | ♥ 1 | Nicely done! I like how the puzzle actually stumped me for a bit. I also like how towards the end you see more of the sun, it looks quite nice, but once you get to the very top, a new puzzle element occurs around the light and using the corners to rotate your view and find the stairs in the silhouette. Music has a lot of interesting elements. Thanks for the awesome game! |
| May 2 21:06:09 | 28m 31s | God All Smitey | ♥ 1 | Nice pixel art and mouse mechanics made moving around a joy to use |
| May 2 21:12:10 | 6m 01s | Bloodcoin | ♥ 3 | The R mechanic makes this game unique and very interesting. Had fun playing this once I got the controls. Will have to come back and try to beat it sometime |
| May 3 21:58:01 | 24h 45m | Collecting Really Nice Cats! | ♥ 2 | Sound effects are effective imprompty and humorous. The mechanics are simple and also hilarious. The cat throw is a simple mechanic at the surface, but I do wonder how one could develop it further... The web build is great, and the controls were easy to pick up. Gotta appreciate a great delivery. |
| May 3 22:19:32 | 21m 31s | The Coin's Unexpected Adventure | ♥ 2 | At first I was a little curious. Very little direction was given. I like that. It gave me a sense of freedom and desire to explore. The mechanics were not too tough and not too easy. A great example is the vending machine catch. The only two I couldn't get were I am ball and Time is Money. The audio was nice. The coin effects were pretty complete with sound effects and visual effects. Very nice. Only thing I could ask for is another level with maybe a different theme |
| May 3 22:35:09 | 15m 37s | 1up | ♥ 1 | The production value is great, the complexity curve is great. I like how it starts to develop some puzzle mechanics. In fact I will have to come back to this one and try to complete it cuz the effin red hammers kept killing my oneups... gg. And well done. Thanks for sharing! |
| May 3 22:50:21 | 15m 12s | Zoltan's Idea | ♥ 2 | Pretty fun and funny. My favorite is the cat pose whilst you are examining their skill traits. There is some nice UI work here. Easy to follow instructions. |
| May 3 23:16:24 | 26m 03s | Rising Dawn - First Blood: It's Brunchtime | ♥ 2 | Like what others have said the learning curve is harsh, but once you get it, you really feel that stealth ninja effect. Very impressive to hit that genre during a jam. Quite inspiring. Appreciate your alls work. |
| May 6 21:59:47 | 70h 43m | F_NULL | ♥ 1 | Cover art - check. controller support - check. Developer actually play tested and set high scores for me to beat - pending ... |
| May 8 21:41:43 | 47h 41m | SERVUS BONUS | ♥ 1 | Impressive level of polish, nice presentation, and delivery. It's a good concept and fits the theme nicely too. Well done. |
| May 8 21:50:52 | 9m 09s | Piggy Butchery | ♥ 1 | A very innovative mechanic to expend lives for platformer elements. Makes you very careful about placement and what not. Really hit the theme on the head. Not what I was expecting. Very nice. |
| May 8 21:55:19 | 4m 27s | Escape from Hell | ♥ 1 | A+ for controller support. Nice concept with the super hard boss that you see at the beginning but build up to over time. |
| May 13 22:35:13 | 120h 39m | Demon Apprentice | ♥ 1 | So every game jam I wind up playing a top-down shooter of sort, but I don't believe I have ever in any game jam ever seen a top down scythe swinger (could be sword to upgrade too or staff, idk). But the way this mechanic was implemented was almost flawless given the circumstances. My only note is that I run dual monitors, and your game was running on the left. My mouse kept running over to the monitor on the right. So I would advise players to turn off any external monitors. Or perhaps there is someway to programatically prevent this behavior... Anyway well done. Solid mechanics, good gameplay. |
| May 13 23:00:21 | 25m 08s | The Current Sea | ♥ 1 | Well for starters I really enjoyed this compo title playing on an xbox controller. I was lured in by the cover art which had a very mysterious image and a nice color way. Agree with @jjjjason about _The Beginners Guide_ It's like Wreden introduced this concept, and @khaotom further developed it. I like how perfectly imperfect the islands align. I enjoy the simplicity. One thing I found challenging was when to predict my forward or my backward to run out. Maybe that's part of the puzzle...? Hmmm... Very nice entry, and again an absolute pleasure to play! |
| May 17 22:38:05 | 95h 37m | Ultimate Financial Championship | ♥ 1 | Lol at people breaking the game. The fundamentals remind me of a game I made while on Train Jam 2019. Was not expecting a live server when I got here. Pleasantly surprised! This is a very cool and technically impressive entry. Edit: Battle mechanic is a great touch. |
