Dec 5 02:06:12 Treasure Thrower ♥ 1 Hi, just letting you know, that your HTML5 link isn't working right now. I'll check back later to play your game!
Dec 5 16:41:19 14h 35m Debt Dump ♥ 0 I liked the concept of the game and the audio, especially the sound effects. I also liked that there is a level progression. The controls felt a bit off at times (maybe because I played with a touchpad?) , but otherwise great work!
Dec 6 18:05:21 25h 24m Uncanny Dodge ♥ 1 The game was fun, I found myself playing it for a while. Well done! Most of the complexity of the game came from the controls itself. Maybe either displaying the control keys on the characters or colour coding them would have made things more clear. I liked the simply graphics style as well.
Dec 6 18:08:57 3m 36s Blood Clot ♥ 1 @miguel-montero Hi, just letting you know, that the itch.io link still isn't working for me :(
Dec 6 18:16:11 7m 14s Mutoid ♥ 1 Fun game! Initially I didn't like the graphics too much, but they kind of grew on me. I especially thought the animations were pretty nicely done. The controls also feel really good. I wasn't quite sure whether something triggered my allies mutating. Adding some sort of trigger would have been cool I think, but that's debatable.
Dec 9 00:33:16 54h 17m Pajuu - Always With You ♥ 1 Great graphics and mood. The controls felt nice as well, which led to me playing the whole game. I really think if you added some more mechanics this could be made into a fully fledged game. Unfortunately, I didn't get the relation to the theme before reading how the mechanics affect the storm. All in all a good and polished entry. Congrats!
Dec 9 00:41:26 8m 10s IN-FAMOUS ♥ 1 Nice idea, we were playing with a similar idea at first (the more fame you have etc.), when we were juggling ideas.
Dec 9 01:05:23 23m 57s Castle Diorama ♥ 2 Great game. I finished it, although I was a bit frustrated that I didn't find a way to open that chest thingy (if that's what it's meant to be in the bottom right). I really liked the art style with the minimal shading. At some point, the cursor got stuck on being a "hand" symbol, which wasn't a major issue though.
Dec 9 01:13:14 7m 51s Crosstalk ♥ 1 Cool entry, well done! I really liked the concept, it inspired me to think about other applications of hidden dynamics in games.
Dec 9 01:22:22 9m 08s Jewel Shadow ♥ 0 I had similar problems as the other reviewers, I didn't get the controls at first. I liked that I couldn't get past level one with all three jewels, it just fit the theme well.
Dec 9 01:29:21 6m 59s POKED - be social ♥ 2 Great interpretation of the theme. I felt really stressed while playing it, which weirdly enough is a compliment in this context, haha I liked the graphics and the humour as well.
Dec 9 02:28:30 59m 09s Mortal Komba ♥ 1 It's amazing how polished the game looks for such a short amount of development time. Well done!
Dec 9 02:37:16 8m 46s Kinball ♥ 2 Great game! I especially liked the camera movement and the sounds. I also liked the introduction to the levelling concept in Level 0, where the ball just automatically reaches its goal. Having multiple balls also made for a fun experience, although the camera moved around very fast if one of the balls got out of the game and the average centre of the other balls was far away from the previous position. Maybe slowly adjusting the camera would have made for a better visual experience in that case.
Dec 9 11:00:56 8h 23m DRAGLUTTONY ♥ 1 Great game. Amazing graphics, sound and just all around feel. I especially liked the introduction screen where you were still able to try out the controls. Initially, neither of us got how to "throw" the food and we started just putting the food on the brooms. After finding out the throwing trick it was a blast though!
Dec 9 11:49:52 48m 56s Don't get drunk ♥ 0 Very cool game. At first, I was trying to get every beer that I could, just to see how it turned out. So it's really cool that you can essentially play the game in two different ways, so to say. I really liked the screen twisting effect. The first time it occurred, I was like "WTF is happening" haha Some ideas: - I would have liked all of the fonts to match the art style - Maybe adding a counter for beer and a counter for distance would result in a fun experience (maybe even adding a score that's calculated from those two values?)
Dec 9 12:12:18 22m 26s CalligraTree ♥ 2 First of all: Thanks for playing our money transporter game on stream yesterday. The feedback you gave us was really helpful! This was honestly one of my favourite, if not my favourite game of the ones I played for this Ludum Dare. Great graphics and concept. Really smooth feel to the game, just all around a great entry. I personally would have considered antialising the tree, but given the time that's probably unrealistic.
Dec 9 14:06:13 1h 53m Squire ♥ 2 Great little game. I liked the whole concept of it, it was fun to juggle supplying your party and giving the mule what it wants. The audio and graphics were nice as well. Some ideas: - Maybe making the player character faster would have felt good - I would have progressively added more heroes to the party (not different models, just more people), maybe starting at one hero - The same progression could have been applied to the items. So to start with there could have only been tacos and then potions etc. would have been added
Dec 9 14:25:43 19m 30s Billy the giant hates dancing paragliders on a boat ♥ 0 Fun little game. I liked the graphics (the walking animation seemed off though, because of the legs, I wouldn't know why exactly) and audio. I had trouble finding out how to control the game, unfortunately. I didn't read the description in this post and for some reason "N" started the game (Instead of "0" which was written in the game itself)
Dec 9 14:37:03 11m 20s Forgotten Cubes ♥ 1 Fun game with a really cool concept. I would have made the first level slightly easier to ease the player into the whole concept (Namely I would have started with one green cube)
Dec 9 15:52:06 1h 15m RE-SANTA ♥ 0 I loved the knitted graphics and the screen transitions. The game wouldn't quite go full screen for me or fit on my screen in another way, so I had trouble reading the instructions. Great game and idea!
Dec 9 15:55:57 3m 51s Psychoserker ♥ 1 Good looking game. Unfortunately playing it on a laptop with a touchpad didn't really work that well, but I suppose that's not what it was built for, so no problem there. I liked the music and the animations as well.
Dec 9 16:01:04 5m 07s The more hair you have... ♥ 1 As peachtreeoath I went for the enemies first as well. Cool concept, especially that you can resolve the situation in two different ways. The graphics were really nice.
Dec 9 16:08:07 7m 03s Obligatory Christmas game :D ♥ 1 Nice game. I liked the simple concept and execution. Some ideas: - The character movement could have been improved with some slight tweaks (Nothing major though, just working on the stopping motion; but that's just my opinion, it's definitely debatable) - Having the difficulty progress by having the tubes start out really high and then gradually descending would have been cool imho
Dec 9 23:40:48 7h 32m ESCAPE KEY ♥ 2 Really cool game. I liked the concept, and it felt really great to get the hang of the game and to stop having to look at the keyboard. The sound and graphics were spot on as well.
Dec 9 23:55:49 15m 01s The Darkest Light ♥ 1 I liked the concept and the game. It fit the theme really well in my opinion. The only complaint I have is that I personally don't like the movement, but that might be just me. Anyway, great entry!
Dec 10 10:48:20 10h 52m ViKing of Norway ♥ 1 Good entry. I liked the graphics style and the audio especially. One bug I had was that when a message appeared the game didn't take input but continued running. So at times, my character would just walk away. Nothing too major though. A walking animation would have really helped get the graphics to the next level in my opinion, but that's nit picking.
Dec 11 10:37:52 23h 49m Hats On! ♥ 1 Cool entry. I especially liked the fact that there were different levels. It just motivates me more than just having a high score...Definitely something we should have done in our game. Well done!
Dec 11 11:23:23 45m 31s Keep going... you have my interest ♥ 0 I had a good time playing your game. I especially liked the audio and the graphics. The only complaint I have would be the inventory system, I'm not too sure if I would have included the theme that way. Good entry though!
Dec 11 11:35:16 11m 53s Supermarket Blues ♥ 0 Cool concept. It felt really satisfying to scan the items. I think one thing they could have helped would have been to add a progression system. Maybe by starting with fewer items and thus giving the player a chance to learn the combinations for them. Great entry!
Dec 11 12:04:01 28m 45s Human Rises ♥ 1 Cool concept. I just started going for as many citizens as I possibly could, which was clearly a mistake on my part. I agree with some of the reviewers that a gradual introduction to the mechanics would have helped the game.
Dec 12 16:56:02 28h 52m Kritter Keeper ♥ 3 Great entry, fun to play. I agree with @likirus on the "smartcast" option, that would have been a great addition. I personally would have made the icons on the kritters a bit more visible by giving it a more contrasting colour or animation or something along the line.
Dec 19 22:13:09 173h 17m Dungeon Dealer ♥ 2 Great concept, graphics and audio. I thought it was really easy to get into and a lot of fun, even though it was quite simple. I think with some sort of more involved levelling system and maybe some items this could really turn into a really cool app/game.
Dec 26 10:30:44 156h 17m Oil Tycoon : Corruption Edition ♥ 1 Really cool game. I just played a round and I'll go for my second round after writing this. There's two things I didn't really get initially: - How much workforce do I need to build a building - Even if my citizen relation is high the oil prices are low (I presume because it takes a while for the prices to adjust) I suggest maybe adding the workforce information in the instructions (if it's a constant) or as a tooltip or something like that if it depends on the building. Maybe making the oil prices follow the citizen relations more directly would resut in less confusion (Or maybe I'm not getting another aspect of the game and I'm completely off here)
Dec 26 15:03:34 4h 32m LD40 - SirPumpy ♥ 1 Great graphics and sound. The gameplay was fun as well. One thing you probably didn't have time for was a more visible animation that tells the player whether he hit an enemy (such as an explosion). Really great work though!
