Aug 5 16:35:45 Thunder ♥ 0 YES QUAKE-ish <3 Really nice and extremely fun gameplay, grenade *cough* I mean electric shooting myself upwards, blasting those robots to bits, gets really hectic at the end. Really well made, extremely great amount of fun!
Aug 5 16:39:53 4m 08s ld39 ♥ 0 Controls seemed a little off but nothing major, perhaps it's because I was playing the keyboard. While the gameplay was simple it was still fun and got hectic as I progressed through. I really love those character models, gives me huge 32X vibes, overall great stuff! :D
Aug 5 16:46:31 6m 38s Woundlings ♥ 0 Oh man those little toy dinosaurs are adorable. Took me a little time to get into it, wasn't quite sure what was happening and the AI seemed a little tough but after a couple of minutes of gameplay things seemed to improve and I had some good fun. Overall great job! :D
Aug 5 16:53:22 6m 51s Rush ♥ 1 Overall it was pretty solid entry, I liked the clean look of the graphics and the gimmicks of the lights slowly fading was pretty cool. The shadow work was also very nice. I did have problems with the wall jumping, it felt really difficult to pull off, took a few tries to somewhat get it down slightly. Overall good job making this, I had fun playing it and the graphics were nice. Shame there was no music to set the mood even more.
Aug 5 17:00:30 7m 08s Flashlight ♥ 1 Extremely cool concept with the flash light which fits the theme just perfectly. I felt given more time this could be a really neat little phone or online game. It might of been a little on the easy side because I started predicting the enemies or learning where they were but overall really good use of theme. To answer ye question on my jam page, I guess I've been making games since 2002-2003 so I've been improving since then. :)
Aug 5 17:16:35 16m 05s Defend Home: Mars ♥ 1 It looked great, those ants sure looked menacing! Gameplay while pretty simple and basic was sure fun and hectic towards the end when you had ants coming out of the wazoo. Only gripe I had was the mouse look was extremely sensitive and also a bit buggy, mostly on the web version. Overall fantastic work for a compo entry! :)
Aug 5 17:21:04 4m 29s Devil's Curse ♥ 0 Very clever use of the theme, might of been a bit too easy I felt but man I sucked more time into this than I thought I would. I really dig those retro graphics which fits extremely well with the game play. Overall top notch stuff! :)
Aug 5 17:24:22 3m 18s Hover Power! An Unfortunate Game Jam ♥ 1 Don't worry I've submitted incomplete stuff before to LDjam so it happens. I could see where you was going with this and given more time could of been a more fleshed out and polished game but as it stands it's not terrible and can be quite fun and challenging to play. It's all about learning and developing your skills, so I look forward to seeing what you make at the next jam! :D
Aug 5 17:26:40 2m 18s solar avenue ♥ 0 Overall not bad at all, although had some issues with the camera being too low and those collision boxes seemed a bit off. But it was fun and great little time waster. Well done enjoyable little game! :D
Aug 5 17:32:36 5m 56s PowerBot ♥ 2 Overall this was very fun to play, although the controls took a bit of time to get used too. Left Control, F, WASD/Arrows it seemed a bit everywhere but it wasn't too terribly bad. The graphics were nice and clean and did the job, it added such a good tone/mood to the game. I really loved the fact that you had enemy variety in there and the shock-gun animated great so it actually felt good when you destroyed those enemies. Fitted the theme well, everything about this game is good, would love to see it developed more into say a mobile/online game. Great stuff! :D
Aug 5 17:49:25 16m 49s ⚡ Swing Bolt ⚡ ♥ 1 Takes a little time to get use to swinging that mouse tail around but once you get that mechanic now you can start surviving those mass onslaught of enemies after around 20 much easier. The sfx and music is well done and the graphics fit the game wonderfully, overall a great little time waster! :D
Aug 5 17:58:53 9m 28s Soul Gun ♥ 3 Nice little gimmick here, also I really like the mood and atmosphere in this game. I actually enjoyed that the game was rather difficult and challenging. I also liked the fact that when you die you gory green goo and still move. Overall a really fun yet challenging game! Great stuff.
Aug 5 18:01:30 2m 37s Terminal Attraction ♥ 1 Oh wow, this is really really funny, so much my humour. It was really unique as well, one of my favourite entries purely on the comedy front and the graphics/videos did an amazing job. (As well with the music.) Fantastic work and even more so fantastic puns! <3
Aug 5 18:17:55 16m 25s Robo Power ♥ 0 Really digging the aesthetics and mood of this game, the audio track goes well with the gameplay and style. Simple yet really puzzling gameplay, very solid and interesting take on programming your little robot friend. Overall such a solid entry really good fun, really well done! ^-^
Aug 5 18:22:35 4m 40s MOTHER ♥ 1 The switching theme gave huge flashbacks to Ikaruga which is good thing, I feel that mechanic is often underused. It's very playable, the graphics are a bit mis-matched in places but nothing terrible. The controls seem fine and the gameplay itself is pretty solid too. Overall good entry, great little time waster! ^-^
Aug 5 18:27:28 4m 53s Electric Castle ♥ 1 Some of those levels near the end were extremely tricky considering the beginning of the game was super easy. Not that I'm complaining I love difficult and challenging games! The graphics do a good job and setting the mood, reminds me of games I used to play on those "1001 Games" on a single CD. Really solid game play too, everything felt smooth and I had didn't have a problem with the controls what so ever. Really solid entry, great fun! :D
Aug 5 18:31:50 4m 22s Power Plant Simulator. ♥ 1 Couldn't open the zip file :( I'll check back when it's fixed ^-^
Aug 5 19:05:44 33m 54s Escape! ♥ 1 Overall very decent game, I quite like the small nature of the graphics they seem to fit the style of the game well. Some of the later levels can be really punishing if you make a wrong move though. Overall really solid entry, well done! And to answer your questions over on my jam page, the 3000 views for the flash game is because it's on Newgrounds, a popular site for flash games, that everyone can play. It was even posted on the front page which means more exposure, and it's just me, no team. It was all made in under 73 heck a lot of stuff got cut from the finished product, like cutscenes and some levels.
Aug 5 19:11:33 5m 49s Space Dog ♥ 1 Great management game here, really well polished and I am a good little boy! Get extremely hectic and fun the longer you play although to counter balance you yourself get better and managing it. Sometimes switching the batteries can be a little tricky but it's nothing major. I really enjoy also that you play as A DOG! :D Overall it's extremely fun, really well made jam game! Fantastic work! ^-^
Aug 5 19:18:32 6m 59s Galvanica ♥ 2 Wonderful humour and text here, while the game play it self was really easy it was countered by the extremely awesome dialogue and the fact you chuck things into a big fiery furnace! Really loved the atmosphere that was created this well, everything seemed to gel really well. Only slight gripe was getting stuck on the walls was really easy but other than that it was such a solid and fun entry, well done! ^-^
Aug 5 19:24:04 5m 32s Pain That Binds Us ♥ 2 Wonderful wonderful graphics, fantastic mood and setting, lovely story telling. Fantastic work team, really unexpected as well which is such a great thing. Everything is really well made, top notch work guys! And to answer the question on my jam page, I just used FLStudio(9) with the VOPM plugin. With that I have some Genesis/MegaDrive sound patches that were ripped from the .vgm files along with some drum/prec samples ripped from some titles. Then I just quickly compose some tracks using the pattern editor, which works for LDjam games :) Hope that answered ye question :)
Aug 5 23:03:39 3h 39m Last survivor ♥ 1 I would of been nice to have some sort of end game or goal other than just surviving but the surviving mechanic itself is pretty well done given the time frame. The graphics are pleasing and everything seems to work just fine. I felt like it got a bit too easy once you got the upgrades but other than that a really good little time waster well done! :)
Aug 5 23:16:17 12m 38s Fast Refuel ♥ 1 Great little mechanic with the swapping of the ships, really enjoyed that, felt like it gave it something new. The graphics are also very well done as well, although I felt like the difficulty curve was a bit weird, started off extremely easy for a while and then got very difficult very quickly, although it's not much because I do enjoy a good challenge. Overall very well made game, great stuff! :D
Aug 5 23:21:23 5m 06s ZETPACK-99 ♥ 1 I utterly utterly love the aesthetics of this game, serious vapourwave and early DOS game vibes, so relaxing. And the puzzles, extremely well thought out and tough, the idea you can't go through your jetpack trails really gives it a new dimension and element. Utterly love, well done, fantastic entry! <3
Aug 5 23:24:26 3m 03s I Am S.A.M ♥ 0 Sadly I had issues trying to open it, kept crashing on Windows10 on start up :(
Aug 5 23:35:32 11m 06s The Sorcerer's Apprentice ♥ 1 Despite saying you only made this within 24 it's still actually pretty decent, sure it controls a little weird and you can get stuck at times but for the short amount of time frame it's still really impressive and most importantly fun. I'm super positive if you made the game within the given time frame I'm sure it'd be far much better and I like the concept of running out of mana and collecting gems, so it's a shame I can't play that version! We've all been there sadly releasing games that weren't quite finished but as a unfinished jam game this is still great. It's more of a shame that it's not completed to what you intended. Overall great entry, really love the graphics, super cute and it fits well within the game, overall great work and I hope you make a post jam version! Also thank you so much for that lovely review on my game, I'm extremely glad you enjoyed me game! <3
Aug 5 23:46:39 11m 07s Asteroids ♥ 1 Nice simple retro feeling game, with a nice soundtrack to go alongside it. Perhaps my only gripe being a SHMUP fan is having the hitbox of the ship being the whole ship threw me off slightly but overall really nice simple time waster! <3
Aug 5 23:55:59 9m 20s No Sorcerer's Sky ♥ 1 Look a little while to get used to this couldn't quite understand at first and then I started building shield and slowly got the hang of it. Overall actually a really decent game once you understand what you're doing. Lovely graphics and music that really sets a good tone. Overall really well done! :D
Aug 5 23:59:38 3m 39s Rocket Rescue ♥ 1 Took a little getting used to the physics and control method, sadly I wasn't able to use my bomb on the web version of the game as Left-Alt would always pause/unpause the game. Overall the graphics and music were nice and suited well with the game. Simple yet fun gameplay, well done! :D
Aug 6 00:04:46 5m 08s Fuse Cell ♥ 1 One of my favourite games I've played this jam! <3 I love SHMUPS and this was fantastic. Extremely well through out mechanic with zapping the enemies to power your gun, once I got that timing down I was always at max power! Fantastic graphics, great audio everything about this was pure awesome! Love it <3 Extremely well done ^-^
