| Aug 23 04:22:00 | pblob | I got stuck on one of the later levels, but I really liked it. Clever! | |
| Aug 23 04:23:00 | 1m 00s | Beyond the Fourth Wall | Even though the graphics were obviously rushed, they still had nice style. This works really well. I wish there were more screens to escape from. |
| Aug 23 04:25:00 | 2m 00s | BATHOS | Why can't I give you more than 5 stars for "Theme"? You deserve ALL OF THE STARS! <br/> <br/>I came SO close to ragequitting without figuring it out |
| Aug 23 04:28:00 | 3m 00s | A tale about life, death and a looser. | Your pixels are fantastic. This game made me laugh out loud, but it also made me sad. <br/> <br/>Minor complaint: I had to keep clicking with the mouse to get it to accept my keypresses |
| Aug 23 04:41:00 | 13m 00s | Escape of the Psychic Trash Robot | I couldn't get this game to run on my 32-bit Ubuntu 10.10 box. <br/> <br/>$ ./"Escape of The Psychic Trash Robot" <br/>bash: ./Escape of The Psychic Trash Robot: cannot execute binary file <br/> <br/>I installed libdevil1c2 and libglfw2 (couldn't find libglfw) <br/> <br/>I tried to compile from source, but couldn't figure out which -dev packages I needed. I got libglfw-dev and glutg3-dev but I am not sure what package has IL/il.h <br/> <br/>james@rhinoctopus:~/misc/games/ludumdare/2011/RobotSrc$ gcc main.cppIn file included from main.cpp:1: <br/>Core/GraphicsCore.hpp:20: fatal error: IL/il.h: No such file or directory <br/>compilation terminated. |
| Aug 23 19:05:00 | 14h 24m | Virtual School 2 | Ending 1 of 3? The Cake is a lie! ಠ_ಠ <br/> <br/>But this was funny and fun anyway |
| Aug 23 19:57:00 | 52m 00s | Escape from Space Cannibal | Nicely animated-- but there wasn't a whole lot else to it. |
| Aug 23 20:10:00 | 13m 00s | Cube Collapse | Could you post a non-web-player version of this? Based on other Unity games I have seen in this competition, the Unity web plugin cannot be installed on Linux, but a standalone Windows Unity game works fine on Linux using wine. |
| Aug 23 20:17:00 | 7m 00s | OMFG Aliens! | I can't figure out how to compile this on my 32-bit ubuntu 10.10 box. I can see that I have to install libsfml-dev but I seem to be missing something else. |
| Aug 24 19:02:00 | 22h 45m | Haunted Escape | Ah-Yhoogly-boogly-boo-hoo-hoo! Boo-hoo-glee-ee, What-are-you? What are you? |
| Aug 24 19:09:00 | 7m 00s | Magiscape | Trying to play on Linux. I open with the Sun Java 6 runtime, and I get the title screen, and I can click "Start". Then I see the screen saying it is an LD21 game. Then I click and it just closes. |
| Aug 25 02:04:00 | 6h 55m | Escape Cod | This is the best recursive fish pinball game I have ever played. I wished for a less random game mechanic, and I hated that damn purple angler, but I enjoyed this very much anyway. Loved the theme song! |
| Aug 25 02:13:00 | 9m 00s | Office Escape | Pretty nice-- but I never could figure out how to get past the Presenter. That's probably because I suck, not a game flaw ; |
| Aug 25 02:26:00 | 13m 00s | Get to the Choppah!!! | Would you mind posting a Windows exe version of this? The standalone Unity player for Windows works on Linux with wine, but as far as I can tell there is no way to make the unity web player work on linux |
| Aug 25 02:30:00 | 4m 00s | escape.swf | If your goal was to creep me out, mission accomplished |
| Aug 25 02:42:00 | 12m 00s | Escape from Room 32 | This is not bad. You really gotta get a windows version up there so people who don't know how to git clone https://github.com/djanatyn/ld21.git and apt-get install pygame can try it. |
| Aug 25 03:03:00 | 21m 00s | Mate Escape (LD) | For a game that was all about running very fast, it was rather slow-paced. Gameplay mainly boiled down to pressing down or space at the right time and patiently waiting for the next rollerskates. <br/> <br/>Nevertheless, I enjoyed the artwork, and the style. The tie flapping in the air cracks me up. |
| Aug 25 03:22:00 | 19m 00s | Dragon's Bloodmoney | The sidescrollering was pretty lackluster, but the story panels made me laugh with tears of joy |
| Aug 25 19:09:00 | 15h 47m | I Predict a Riot | I couldn't figure out any controls. Clicking the mouse did nothing, and I could not find any keyboard keys that did anything. |
| Aug 25 19:36:00 | 27m 00s | Block Faker | This is a really nifty varian of sokoban, and I enjoyed playing it. I did escape... at least I think I did. They way you talk about "the theme is here, find it" makes me think maybe you had some other secret kind of escape in mind, and you had me superstitiously pressing ESC instead of SPACE when I advanced levels. Also I was totally confused by the four different versions. Still, I enjoyed it. Good job! |
| Aug 25 23:31:00 | 3h 55m | Smash Shove Solve | Yay for sokoban that is so much more than sokoban. Clever puzzles. <br/> <br/>You should really show the controls on-screen in the game. I didn't read the readme first, so I discovered that spacebar skips any level long before I discovered that I had to press 1,2,3,4 to switch characters. |
| Aug 25 23:38:00 | 7m 00s | I Think In A Minute Or So I Will Explode | The controls and jumping physics were deliciously smooth. A nice change from all the clunky platformers I have seen in this contest so far :) |
| Aug 27 00:51:00 | 25h 13m | Abigail's Descent | Thank you for --cheat I really got stuck near the end. <br/> <br/>I wish the dialog on level 3 had been as funny as on level 2, but that is a small complaint. <br/> <br/>The rotating tower, and the way Abigail drifts as she falls are both really pleasing. |
| Aug 29 03:31:00 | 50h 40m | Escape of the AMAZING TRIANGLE | This is pretty good! I enjoyed it. <br/> <br/>Minor complaint: I almost didn't play past the first level. I mistakenly assumed that I had to click to advance screens, so I wasted my node, but didn't realize why it wouldn't let me play. Even after I understood what happened, I still accidentally clicked when moving between levels more than once, and had to press R to restart the level. <br/> <br/>I wished for more levels, because the later levels were increasingly more fun. |
| Aug 29 03:47:00 | 16m 00s | ZOMBEE FLOOD | The crowd lettering was really cool. Unfortunately There wasn't enough gameplay to satisfy me. |
| Aug 29 04:01:00 | 14m 00s | Tall Butt | Nice! You say the AI was weak, but It was better than me :) <br/> <br/>F11 to shrink the screen was buggy. it shrank, but then the next mouse click would cause a crash. <br/> <br/>Traceback (most recent call last): <br/> File "TallButt.py", line 251, in <module> <br/> MainWindow.MainLoop() <br/> File "TallButt.py", line 47, in MainLoop <br/> self.LaunchMenu() <br/> File "TallButt.py", line 79, in LaunchMenu <br/> event.pos=(x,y) <br/>AttributeError: 'Event' object has no attribute 'pos' |
| Aug 29 04:10:00 | 9m 00s | Bountyhunted! | This is really cool! <br/> <br/>One bug report: the wasd keys often get stuck in one direction and you have to tap them to unstick it. |
| Sep 10 19:16:00 | 303h 06m | Metal Sphere Solid | Incrediball? |
| Sep 10 20:42:00 | 1h 26m | Abscond | the gameplay was simple, but I really enjoyed it |
| Sep 13 03:35:00 | 54h 53m | The Labyrinth | For anybody frustrated by how hard it is to die, notice that you can save your progress anywhere. That makes it much easier! |
