This is not bad. You really gotta get a windows version up there so people who don't know how to git clone https://github.com/djanatyn/ld21.git and apt-get install pygame can try it.

Really nice that you don't lose all progress when you die! I think smoother, Legend of Zelda style movement would have been a big improvement. Here it is as a Windows exe http://s3.amazonaws.com/excitemike/ld/djanatyn-ld21.zip (run game.exe)
(might want to add a link to that up top, djanatyn)
Nice little game, cute music and sounds. Lacks variety though. Controls rely on system keyboard delay (and repeat?) rate, so it's clunky. AI can be manipulated nicely, but it can be too fast at times. A little short, and some new mechanics would be nice. Not really central to theme though.
You should add more elements. As it is now, is very repetitive.
Couldn't play -

I agree the smooth movement would make it better. As it is, the enemy is really hard to dodge and makes the game a bit annoying. The idea isn't that bad so it's worth working on it a bit. Cool tune!
A simple concept but very well executed. Loved the graphics style and the little tune playing on the background. Finished the game, but my wrists hate me now :p
Cool game! It is always fun to match wits with intentionally simpleminded AI! Also I liked the full restart when dead combined with unlock passages... like Demon's Souls. Love the win screen. :)
