Strong AI Fantastic. And props for using the XBox gamepad, I give you full marks in technical just for that. This game had everything--story, personality, humor, weapons that got bigger, and even foodpics. This was a lot of fun.
Trivial Escape from Minimalist Island This was really fun. Lots of atmosphere. The essence of the adventure game genre. It could have been a little tricker, puzzle wise, but overall it felt like a complete game and was fun and interesting.
Of Robots & Groglots This was awesome. I loved the controls, except for the aiming, I'd have rather you just fired forward. But very impressed at the level of polish and graphics, the variety of worlds, and the game itself was unique and fun. It was challenging but in a good way, and I liked that the different levels had different objectives. This was my favorite game of this competition.
Pixelman 3 Reminded me of mega-man. In a good way. So much fun for so few pixels.
Tiny Hawk final release great use of theme, funny. I enjoyed it but it was a bit too difficult for me to get the grinds. I love the "tricks" that were just one or two pixels different.
Simple maze didn't work for me.
Too minimal for a name… Very impressive. Good puzzles and the little green sphere had a lot of personality. I think there will be a time when I start getting sick of 2d physics games but that time is not here yet. This could be a real game.
Mininode like so much in my life, i didn't really understand this but it looked cool. props for scheme tho.
Castle Adventure So sweet! I used to play the old dos castle game too so there was lots of nostalgia. Lots of fun and a good fit to the theme. extended ascii rocks.
MinMo LD11 i don't have a long enough attention span for this. Still, the game worked well and the concept was really neat, it would be cool to see a platformer with better controls where the level randomly changed like that.
Yeah, ThingGo is a go go! I had never played Pingo but a friend of mine was a big fan and said this was a very faithful recreation of that. I would have liked it better if you did some kind of minimalist twist to the gameplay instead of to the graphics. Pretty well done, polished and complete for 48 hours though.
Title Unknown Was this supposed to be a joke? I didn't think this was funny, I thought it was kind of taking a swipe at all of the people who put a lot of time and energy into their games.
CGA Quest Yay for CGA. And it ran like it needed moslo, too. Pretty cool game, but it felt too twitchy for a puzzle game, and to puzzly for an arcade game.
Battle Magic Done! I loved the concept. But I couldn't really get the strategy. After a while I just kept doing fireball and it worked. It had stats and minions and yet you could just sit down and play so that's enough for me!
“Desktop Rox” Wow. I was blown away on the technical side. I didn't even realize that that was possible. Focus worked and everything. The game itself was pretty basic but that wasn't really the point of this entry, I guess. Anyways, very attention getting, more of a tech-demo then a game.
Space Stuff Trader so tiny... i had trouble telling which direction the ship was pointing. Very hard to control. Impressive that you managed to pack a lot of stuff in this game but I think the minimalism took away from the gameplay in this case.
Micro Macro very cool given your time constraints. After a bit, I found it more fun to make patterns with the lasers rather than treat it like a game. Too many asteroid -style games this time around but this one at least had personality.
RPG Battle Simulation I'm a fan of console RPGs and I still didn't really get what was going on.
