I really like the mechanics of this and think it could turn into something so much greater. Totally see where you are going with it. Great job.

Hilarious, neat concept, and very original. Nice job
Great job! Sticking with the holiday season as well is a nice touch.
Nice! Throw back to some classic RPGs! Great job.
Thanks Mieville. That's actually the exact control scheme I was going for. I was thinking that if you are running, you can't do a complete 180. Even after adding collisions with walls, I decided to keep it that way because it increased the difficulty level quite a bit :)
Ya jerrre, near then end when I was trying to implement sounds... I noticed that Java7 would have made life a whole lot easier. I don't think I would have had enough time to learn what I needed to implement it though. I was basically learning new parts of java the whole time as it was since this is my first game/app outside of school. Thanks for the comment though :)
The concept behind this is amazing for a 48 hour compo. Great job in pulling off this much. Very hard, but fun!
The only thing I noticed as a bad thing was that when you build a tower on the bottom of the screen, it's impossible to sell it since it goes off the screens edge. Otherwise, I didn't even notice any REAL issues with the path finding. For the most part, the computer was running over me haha.
Really fun game. Good job!
Good stuff! Loved the simplistic nature of the game and it adds just enough to keep the separate worlds different. Love it!
Cool stuff. I'd love to have the ability to change the controls (like left hand controls the boat... right hand controls the ladder). Great idea overall though.
