I still want to know why you couldn't cut the grass with a basic sword ;)

I really like the scrolling here, but yeah, the game quickly gets boring without end game.
Thanks for the feedback guys :)
vicethal > What do ou mean by difficult to follow ? Was there too many interactions on the screen or the story didn't make any sense ? It dont know if it's obvious, but the intro shows the way life arrived on earth (thus sarted evolution), and the end what the world became from such tiny creatures. And the cats are just a reference to the 1000kittens theme from the voting.
mdkess > Actually you don't have to restart the game when you die, you should respawn by pressing any keyboard key on the game over screen...
Raptor85 > The grab function is really useful to pass through any wall of red cells without any damage, or to push something forward. Each class is meant to have some drawbacks, the fast controls of the "quick" class is meant to give you a hard time on tricky areas.
juaxix > Well, you just have to use physics to progress from one screen to another, and fight the boss, that's the whole thing.
Rather one game type and a half, ah ah :')
I like how granpa just get rid of the part with the spiders, how convenient. Nice storytelling, but I didn't really get the evolution here, although I can see the theme at the beginning of the game with the previous civilisation and animal people. You did a fine job in two days, but more custom graphics and systems would have been welcomed.
Ludum Dare passes, deepnight's still doing awesome games, I'm fine with the world.
I'm sorry for this comment, but oh my god, this is so goddamn cute ! Also, the tile system is really nice, and I like the variety of missions.
I tried so hard to burn the priest.
"The Mammoth was mother no more"
Oh my god that was so depressing! I don't think I was the monster here though, I only cared for my progeny. But weren't the Hunters protecting their children too when they were hunting instead of watching their beloved die from hunger?
Is there really anyone to blame, is there any monster or is the world itself the merciless beast? The story of the Mammoth and the Hunters repeated several times in the past and will happen again, perpetuating the neverending suffering... but I can't help to wonder, and I cling to that though as it is my last glitter of hope, is there a way to spare one mammoth child and make the herd anew?
On a more positive note, that was the best entry I came across yet, the art is beautiful and well-thought, and the narration and music add a really nice touch. I really loved the game and its atmosphere, great job!
I like the Meat Boy-like style and how the levels show in the background, but not how you have to restart from the beginning when you die. Not sure it fits the One Room theme but whatevs.
I tried to force feed it and starve it, none turned out well. Now to let it wriggle in its own poop. 5/5.
Nice entry, very fun and thoughtful, just hard enough to make you feel clever without being stuck. Not sure the blue shader thing was necessary but it still looks good. Great job!
That was nice, room escape fits perfectly the One Room theme. Good job!
