LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Deeper & Deeper: Attorneys at Law by NvrSkipGameDay 2021-04-28T00:59:02Z

Very fun!! As soon as I heard the theme I immediately thought "Deeper and Deeper, Attorneys at law" but knew I could never pull it off. Everything is fantastic - the art, the music, the story, the multiple endings. Love all the work put in here - nice work!!

Chess Hellevator by BoxedMeatRevolution 2021-04-28T23:21:42Z

Fantastic and innovative puzzle game. Love how it fit clearly into the theme while still being unique. Had a blast playing it - amazing job!

A very polished game - nice work! Definitely some strong Motherload vibes. Really appreciated the story existing alongside the gameplay!

Enemy Territory by OldenGamer 2021-04-28T00:44:09Z

Big fan of the choose your own adventure stories. I played through a couple of times and appreciated the different paths I could go down and options presented depending on the starting equipment. The one feedback I'd give is that seemingly without a way to lose it made it feel less meaningful to win. Definitely appreciated the narrative and the work put in!

SUBGUNNER by Marc Jones 2021-04-27T23:31:25Z

Definitely a fun game! Graphics overall were excellent, but I'm particularly a fan of the bubbles. They really do a great job of both conveying the underwater feel as well as calling out the enemy movements.

I unfortunately managed to get into a buggy situation where the "w" key stopped working and I was no longer able to navigate the sub back up anymore (possibly from hitting escape when in the shop menu to try to close it?). Otherwise everything worked really well and I had a lot of fun with it. Nice work!

The Ugliest Fish by LoparPanda 2021-04-28T01:19:45Z

Beautiful game, absolutely love the art, the music, and the story idea. Hope to get to play the finished game some day!

Definitely a fan of the paper art style! I think one thing I'd want at the beginning is a clear direction of where you're supposed to - I accidentally went through the tunnels instead of going to the rabbit at first because I happened to go left when I exited the house. Nice work on it so far!

Nefarious Dive by Nisanick 2021-04-28T01:47:18Z

Fun game! I appreciated ramping up from being terrified of the fish to being an unstoppable fortress of death over time. I also loved the aesthetic of the sight area getting smaller and smaller as you went deeper.

I couldn't tell, but it didn't seem like there was a higher percentage of money spots as you went deeper, so it didn't feel like I was being rewarded for going deeper until ultimately winning the game. A very fun entry though, good work!

Mocap, Mo' Problems by Skleembof 2021-04-28T00:34:07Z

Definitely a really cool tech demo! I loved checking out the various mocap (in particular differentiating between the attack from crouched and attack while standing). One thing I ran into was that without the mouse getting captured, it was difficult to control the camera even while away from walls, which made it harder to explore. But good work on such a short timeline!

Drill Deeper by remram44 2021-04-27T23:47:36Z

Enjoyable game with some clear potential! I appreciated the minimalist controls while still giving the RTS feel. I definitely would've liked some way to move multiple people at the same time - I quickly found myself rapidly clicking through 1 2 3 when I wanted everyone to go somewhere - but that's mostly a QOL change. Nice first entry!

10,001 - A space exploration game by tengusheath 2021-04-28T23:04:54Z

Loved the look and feel of the game, but quickly found myself looking up the spoilers for the landmarks after drifting for a few minutes without finding anything. Really enjoying the music and the SFX as well!

Deepest Point by 7Mar 2021-04-27T23:37:02Z

Fun game! Definitely took a couple tries to realize what I was supposed to be doing - I'd recommend adding a quick note in the description somewhere around dodging the beams or something for clarity. But I quickly found myself getting addicted to the quick reactions and trying to get as far as I could! High score was 33 :) (on normal haha, Hard is crazy)

Hypnagogia by kel 2021-04-28T22:55:38Z

Fun game! After getting a hang of the controls I found I was mostly using dash to go up (always time to go right), but really liked the limited dashes idea. Also really appreciated how the static grew as "being awake" approached. Nice work!
