Solid concept and thinking outside the box with the theme. If the controls were easier to work with it'd be 5s all around.
Tamagotchi was a no-brainer for this kind of theme. Excellent implementation.
You knew exactly what you wanted to make and executed it. Very good scope for the circumstances of the jam and nothing was lacking.
This is the first game I rated here that had a pause menu and I appreciated it. Even mine doesn't have one. Also, I love games that let you go fast so even as simple as this is it can get fun quick.
Thanks to everyone for playing! @maxter10001 @systematic Oh yeah, we definitely need a particle or screen effect to play on hit. Maybe have the sound effect override whatever's already playing.
@riccastudio @beelzeboss Not having tutorials was one of my main regrets in rushing the game out.
@god-colo With the music in your own game I can definitely be proud of that compliment! Thanks!
Sometimes I felt like I was skipping the puzzle during certain cars, but overall the cars were very well designed. My only nitpick is that the moving platforms like to misbehave in terms of throwing you off of them if you move a bit on the landing.
I managed to fall through the first recharge area on the third level. I mention this first because aside from that physics glitch and some graphical polish and extra levels, your game seems like it'd be ready to ship as is. Marble games are hard to come by and even with a different control scheme than most you have something people would like. Really nice.
Very nice all around. All I can think of as criticism are nitpicks you're almost definitely aware of like the final menu not using the nice buttons like the start menu. Maybe just make the player faster the bigger they are and make a few more levels/songs and you have a full game on your hands! I hope for the best in your future.
I like the concept behind this one because I had a college project with the same premise a few years back. You've done it much better than I did though!
You guys really thought of everything here, I love it
