LD46 — Keep it alive

Pupper Truckers by tweedle 2020-04-21T23:19:54Z

This game looks, sounds, and plays beautifully. I love the concept, the art and story is so wonderful, I am amazed as to how you accomplished this in 72 hours. As I played the game I struggled to find out how much scrap I had at any given time, that and I struggled to figure out exactly how to implement certain upgrades to the car, those difficulties would be my only critique as everything else is solid!

Go Ahead! by Lepletier 2020-04-22T00:11:16Z

I might just be bad at video games but oh my god, this game is REALLY hard, the very first spike is a horrifically large roadblock towards the rest of the game that I desperately want to see, because the graphics, style, concept, sound design are all incredible, but I can't make it past the first spike because I'm bad at video games. My only critique would be to make a more smooth difficulty increase, I would love to play this again when I can make it past the first spike because for those brief moments my bubble was alive, it was really fun.

The Exigent Ecosystem by coatline 2020-04-21T19:44:34Z

What an awesome idea, a virtual ecosystem you can just interact with, I loved this! My favorite part was just going crazy and spawning everything possible and watching the system fall to shreds, I love that you can do that. This could go further, make win conditions for more well balanced ecosystems, make more maps for us to play with, add FISH, there is so much here for you to do, I loved this.

Friendship Simulator 2020 by ConnorH 2020-04-21T18:09:53Z

Charming little game, really enjoyed my time and had a good laugh at a lot of the writing. It's got great animations and I love how it's a short and sweet experience. This could be expanded on possibly...

Pump It ! by JulienLussiez 2020-04-22T00:02:23Z

Please, for the love of all that is holy, make this a full game, I beg of you. My only critique is how short it is, only 5 puzzles for such a unique concept so well executed, like a mix of warioware and captain toad, it's brilliant, I just want more!

Snip Snap by Quackqack 2020-04-21T06:27:52Z

So much fun with so many lobsters, what more could any human want

Alive, Alone by Eamon Kane 2020-04-21T20:13:55Z

Super fun experience. It was great seeing how everything reacted with one another, flushing everything down the toilet and hearing what that eldritch being said for every object was a personal highlight. I feel like I could get a lot of mileage out of a game like this, and the voice acting is wonderful of course. My only critique would be a slight suggestion for a little more UI? I wanted to be able to reset items or other similar sorts of actions but couldn't find out how, maybe I missed it though there's a chance. Awesome stuff, just a nice virtual experience!

Keep It Live by zubrzysta 2020-04-21T19:16:44Z

Great stuff, interesting take on a tower defense, I find that if you place the turrets in the right spot, they can shoot enemies inside the house, which could be a nice strategy. My only critique would be to maybe make the directions a wee bit more clear, I found myself a bit confused at first as buttons sometimes don't do things immediately and was a little overwhelmed. But once you get into it, this game was lots of fun!

Flower Secret by Fvafhae 2020-04-21T23:57:21Z

Nice little platforming game. The art is incredible, very well done and incredibly professional looking, really doesn't look like it was made as quickly as 72 hours. However, I felt that the platforming physics could use some polishing, especially since some of the design demanded some pretty tricky jumps, I found that jumping overall was a bit of an awkward climb rather than a sharp hop, and that caused me to miss quite a few jumps. Spice up those physics and this'll be a solid platformer that looks amazing!

Where`s my Pills by colan 2020-04-21T19:30:42Z

This is an achievement for sure, the controls feel intuitive and slick, the style is wonderful, overall it's just a very nice, fun, polished game. I think it could benefit from some more forgiving level design though, the sensitive platforming clashes a bit with the tiny platforms, larger levels and more forgiving layouts could increase the fun of this game ten-fold.

Lonely Year by Shanzhai 2020-04-21T19:38:20Z

What a lovely little game! The graphics are amazing, I love the style so much, and I love the freedom you get from just walking around and doing your thing, AND I love the alternate endings, seasons changing, awesome stuff! I would say that maybe some instructions in the beginning maaaay be nice? I found myself fumbling with buttons a bit before figuring out what did what. Overall, awesome stuff!

Sleep-Rolling Pangolin by Khyrgrim 2020-04-21T19:58:24Z

Such a cool idea, I found this puzzle game to be addicting. Hardest part was figuring out exactly what each block did at first but once that happens, it's smooth sailing from there, this was wonderful and I would pay money to play this on steam if it had more content!

Pixel Pandemic by LKAccidental 2020-04-21T17:57:13Z

Overall very nice looking game, very fun to control and the shooting was intuitive, even if it was a bit of a difficult game. A suggestion I have may be to work on a wee bit of audio balancing, when every enemy shoots at the same time it really blows out my headphones, gives me the big ouch. But solid game, lots of fun, Rufus is a good boy.

A Robot's Heart (Aedox) by IceGod 2020-04-21T20:06:04Z

I liked this, I think it has a lot of potential, mainly with just polishing things up a bit, maybe making the sword swing faster, there were a few sections where collision was a bit strange so fixing that up, all of these can help make your overall game experience much more smooth. DEFINITELY make it so the text either moves faster or you can push a button to make it move faster, it was goin' way too slow for me. I love the ideas in play here though and I think with a little more elbow grease this can be something special, the character designs and storyline are intriguing and I enjoyed the overall theme. Keep at it and this can be even better!

Bonded Crusaders by Joshachu 2020-04-21T19:21:14Z

Very cute, love the idea, has this sort-of dream like quality, was definitely confused as to what to do at first but it all made sense later on, very nice, short experience!

Star Saver by Zfert 2020-04-21T15:14:57Z

Those physics are super funky and fun, makes the game super addicting, love it!

It's Coming Right At Us by ChristianAufiero 2020-04-22T05:16:44Z

@colan Thank you for the feedback, just wanted to let you know though the music is not mine at all, just full disclosure there! I give credit for the tracks in the credits section on the game's menu. Thank you though for playing!

Lost Soul by Sanat Biswal 2020-04-21T19:25:23Z

I like what's here, everything feels smooth and easy to control, no problems at all there, I feel like this could be expanded upon though into something more full later on. In it's current state, it was short but nice, but it felt like it could've been more. Maybe next time play around with different enemy types or more definite goals, this may help give more drive to your players, just my idea though.

Deserted Towers by lilbucc 2020-04-21T19:10:23Z

Strange, I tried to boot up the game myself and it took me straight to a lose screen, it may just be me but take a look at your build and make sure your room order is right. If not, disregard of course!

Silkworm: Keeping the Game Alive by Roey_Shap 2020-04-21T06:40:53Z

Everything here is so wonderful and charming and nice, I almost kind of wish there was *less* dialogue in a strange sort of way, it almost felt like it broke up the pace of the game too much. Other than that, fantastic.

Keep your heart beating by trucverte 2020-04-21T15:09:51Z

There's a lot to like here, especially the idea and style, there's a lot I feel could be built upon to make a very interesting game. For the future, I feel like my big suggestion would be to work a bit more on collision and making your impacts feel crunchy and satisfying, I think that could make fighting the enemies overall even more enjoyable, just a personal tip tho.

Frog CPR 3 by HeadlessHobo 2020-04-21T15:23:01Z

For what it is, it's simple, fun, funny, just a joy of an experience to come in and start beating the heck out of this frog. Please move the box out of the way though I really want to see the awesome frog art while I'm trying to resuscitate him.
