Nice little platforming game. The art is incredible, very well done and incredibly professional looking, really doesn't look like it was made as quickly as 72 hours. However, I felt that the platforming physics could use some polishing, especially since some of the design demanded some pretty tricky jumps, I found that jumping overall was a bit of an awkward climb rather than a sharp hop, and that caused me to miss quite a few jumps. Spice up those physics and this'll be a solid platformer that looks amazing!
Awesome pixel art! Love the style. The concept is good too. I did find the platforming gameplay did let the game down a bit, as it felt heavy and some of the jumps were very difficult to perform. Another minor recommendation, allowing the player to pick up the flower from the water hole without having to jump down in it would help keep the pace a bit better.
The game looks pretty Nice. For me it was all fine until I reached the 3rd checkpoint, I couldn't reach the platforms with my jumps. Really wanted to reach the end of the game, if you patch the Jumping physics please let me know and I'll come back to try the game again.

Concise with comfortable pixel art. I think detection shape of the traps is quite different from that of what you have seen, thie problem make it a little bit annoying. The flower is more like a 'timer' in gameplay. Anyway I like this game.
Cute little game. Would have liked to have some more levels but there is just so much time at a game jam and you did all by yourself. So, good job first of all for finishing your game in time.
Now to some stuff, that could improve your game. Some of these points might be an issue of not enough time. * Add some sound effect to give the player more feedback. It is incredible how adding some sound effect changes your game. * Personally, the character is moving a bit slow and the jump feels weird. So, some tweaks for the physics system might be cool. * Your character is slowing down on the ramps which feels weird to me. I guess the issue here could be that your character has either no physics material attached or one with friction. Try to set the friction to 0, which would also solve the problem with slowly falling down when touching a wall ;) * There are some inconsitencies regarding your story. The flower drains all the water, which means your checkpoints should have some sort of unending water supply to really count as checkpoints. Additionally, there was one checkpoint (I think the last one) which did not had any water next to it. That would not work as a checkpoint at all. Make sure your story and game mechanics are in sync with eachother ;) * I don't think dropping the flower is needed in this version of the game. Maybe you had more in mind with that mechanic, but it would be simply enough to step into the water to refill the flower.

It was difficult to me to understand how the dropping the flower work. I was dropping it into the water, but going away was killing me. That's why I can't pass further 2 checkpoint. But then reading comments I've realized that I can pick up the flower.

I like the graphics and the music. As some of the other people, I couldn't handle those jumps after the 3rd checkpoint. After numerous tries I could get to some of these platforms, but there were more, so I gave up. And that is unfortunate, because the story line seems interesting, and I wanted to get to the end.
I liked a lot the flower mechanic! simple but effective, with a nice artstyle and soundtrack. Well done!
This game really reminded me off off those old platformer games I played years ago, the design, music and even the dialoge fit reminded me off it. Sweet sweet nostalgia! But seriously though, great game, great art and good gameplay. The only critique I have was that it was that the character moved a bit clunkily at times and in a platformer that can lead to a lot of frustration so finetuning the character movement is really important. But like I said before, great game and thanks for the nostalgia!
Nice concept. I enjoyed the water system, I was like Oooohhh shh**t I have to hurry, or the plant dies. I would have liked more levels. Nice pixel art. Another thing to improve is to add some sounds to make it more immersive. Nice work!.

I really like the art. I think the flower mechanic is pretty interesting. I did find the font a bit hard to read, but looking though the comments it seems like I was the only one with this problem.
Like the pixel art and design in general ! A bit hard sometimes like when you jump from a plateform to another and they are nearly too far from each other. Maybe adjust a bit the picks hitbox. In any case, I really liked it ! My favorite game for now ! Thank you for this !
I really liked the game, I found it innovative. I suffered a few jumps there at the third checkpoint.

@fvafhae I actually could beat the game this time! saw the dragon at the end, however the jumping on the corners still feels a little weird, but much better now. Great job.
@backurio I am very excited to receive such feedback! I appreciate it a lot. All your points are valid, especially the last two. In the beginning, I came up with a big story, in which you would need to keep alive not only the flower but also yourself, however, due to the time limit, implemented only flower mechanics.
I am planning to finish this game later on, and I would definitely include your points.

Cute little game! Cool pixel-art. Music is a bit too repetitive and the character is a bit slippery (especially that part with spikes! :joy:), but is a cool game nonetheless! Congrats
Cute game.I think you may add slippery zones (for example a sand area) and remove it while walking on grass.It was enough challenging while jumping.
