Interesting game. I couldn't charge the quantum after playing thru a few times tho. I gave up. Perhaps I've got fat fingers :(

barnabewild 2026-04-20 14:45

Start pretty fast and doing a code is pretty hard maybe the camera could be better placed for depth perception and playable with the mouse could help, neat idea!

freamdev 2026-04-20 16:27

@jan-sate Thank you for playing, I think that might be on me, there is a bug that sometimes break the speed of bit's making them go super fast during gameplay. You might want to give another try now

@barnabewild I was struggling a lot with the camera angle, I think if i were to do it again I would definitely do something more always right behind the receiver. Thanks for commenting!

Good idea, liked the sound and effects. But hitting hitboxes were sometimes ambiguous, and it's not that easy to check top left corner all the time. I would suggest to put codes directly above the square in 3d scene.

helslo 2026-04-21 22:37

I liked it. The size of the hitbox you control made me feel like you could grab a single bit from the connected bits but it seems like you either get them all or none?

Very reminiscent of beat saber, but with bits... Bit Saber?

mahalis 2026-04-21 23:38

I like the premise of this a lot, and the presentation is good, but I really struggled to play it successfully—when I managed to complete a code it was usually almost by accident. I think making it a little slower would help, as would being able to see whether you’re actually lined up to catch something or not. Maybe the game could project incoming pieces to your hitbox and show you what the piece you’re currently lined up with will do to your assembled bits? There’s definitely something fun here, it might just need a more gradual learning curve.

graebor 2026-04-22 02:01

It was pretty tricky to keep track of all my target combinations in the corner and also keep up with the speed! Like @helslo I also assumed you could grab individual bits from the groups by just touching the edge of them, that was confusing for a while. I also found myself wishing I could move with the mouse so it was a bit more responsive.

freamdev 2026-04-22 17:28

@ne-aquilon I tried many location for the codewords and to be honest none of them worked great, if they are on/in the square they are too distracting, if they on the sides you don't always have the time to look, maybe I'll try some other positions and see what everyone thinks. Thanks for playing!

@helslo Bit Saber... where was you when I was struggling to come up with a name 2 in the morning?! I think you and @graebor both onto something with being able to just slice off a bit from words, maybe would of made it a more fun/more decisions game. Thank you both for playing!

@mahalis I think you also got the bug where the bits don't slow down after the main menu and they are too fast to catch correctly, you should have a couple of seconds between spawning and reaching you, hope I can nail that bug down one of these days and publish a non annoying version. Really like the idea of projecting your hitbox and maybe light up if you will collide with the box... thanks for the comment

Getting the right signal is a bit tricky, but the gameplay feels good and I liked the quantum mode.

jk5000 2026-04-23 13:47

The idea is pretty fun, but the game also feels a bit overcomplicated. I like games simple visuals. The music is okay. Overall an interesting little jam game.

geckoo1337 2026-04-26 15:51

Cool project with a neat realization. The main gameplay is clever. The aesthetic remind me an old Amstrad. Well done. Excuse me, but as a compo entry, you have to share the source code. It's one of the rules ++

freamdev 2026-04-27 06:44

@floonace Thank you for playing, glad you liked (and was able to activate) the quantum mode. @jk5000 Thank you for playing! @geckoo1337 Oh damn, I was sure I uploaded it, will fix it when I get home, thank you for reminding me and playing!

shoalmuse 2026-04-29 12:02

Very interesting. I've thought about trying to make a puzzle binary game for a while. Having some affect (sound and otherwise) when getting a good/bad hit on a box would help sell it a bunch.

freamdev 2026-04-29 19:33

@shoalmuse Man and I used strudel.cc to make music, it would have been so easy to make a ping noise with it for catching stuff. Thanks for the idea and playing!

qmdev 2026-05-01 16:29

Difficult to collect codes if you’re not lucky with the numbers, but otherwise not bad

richard-baltrusch 2026-05-04 09:22

Very interesting game concept!

I also had some difficulty playing, but did ok-ish (~400 points). I usually focused on one or two words max, so maybe starting with only one short word and progressively spawning in more and longer options while slowly increasing the game speed could help the player onboard better?

I almost never tried to go for the red squares. I understand their intent, but I feel like they should not be as abundant as they are, as the player wants to *build* words, not *remove*, right? So it felt a bit like something one must avoid to hit 90% of the time.

The visuals and the music hit exactly the right tone and are very enjoyable (though the music imo would need a tad more variety in a larger release).

Well done!

freamdev 2026-05-04 16:54

@richard-baltrusch Thank you, I think easing in to the word count maybe starting with an even shorter is a good idea. The idea of red squares would be to fix earlier mistakes, honestly I just wanted something to spice up the gameplay but not sure I did a great work with it... Thanks for playing!

steveofstevesgames 2026-05-06 11:00

That was difficult. Hard to understand at first and im not sure i totally got it. Managed to get just over 500 on my second try, the online scoreboard is good, i always struggle putting them in to my game. Challenging skill based games are the best. Nice simple but snazzy graphics.

benskca 2026-05-07 17:34

Tough but fun, I really like the old-school cyberspace-y aesthetic. Same as a few other people, I think moving with the mouse instead of the keyboard could give the game a bit more responsiveness, I found myself just barely missing important bits because of the travel time of the player every now and then.

Audio was funky but felt quite repetitive, I think a little bit of a longer loop or more in-game sound effects would add a lot.

Overall this was a good entry, I had a lot of fun!

brahgold 2026-05-07 17:53

Took me a minute to wrap my head around it (and I was still bad at it) but I had a good time. It reminded me of Beat Saber. I didn't mind the keyboard controls.

oramun 2026-05-07 22:09

This is a super challenging game. Took me a few tries to realise the goal and I still got it in my head that the red ones were bad and did't use them properly (Which probably made it harder :P) However i really enjoyed it and the graphics were great and ppolished.

coasterspaul 2026-05-08 03:43

Love the aesthetic, perfect vibes! Music fits that well, maybe a little repetitive but such are game jams. I do agree some sound effects could go a long way - especially for some more recognition of when you do enter a code might be nice? Would love to see more.

zimny11 2026-05-08 13:56

That was a lot of fun! Even tho I'm really bad at this :D Visuals are great and fit nicely with the game theme, game idea feels fresh and original. Great job with the game, enjoyed it a lot!
