I really dig the premise for this game, the in-universe welcome letter is great and sets a fun tone. The design of the workspace is cool and I always like the simplistic graphical style on the screen itself, makes it satisfying to see number of satellites you can get into orbit before it eventually descends into chaos. Would be cool to see this expanded on!

i cannot figure out what to do in this game, add a tutorial to the description because th info you gave is just not enough to understand
@myezko My bad, I omitted an in game tutorial and tried to get clever with the welcome letter. Its just a point and click game. A play on the Kessler Syndrome/Effect proposal from the 70s or 80s.

Game was super fun. I got a personal best of 371, but then I found an overpowered strategy where I can get infinite points by placing one orbit and waiting for a long time. Currently at score 30 with that method as I write this.
The 3D art and animations are really cool!! I was struggling to figure out what the game loop actually is (if there's a strategy to how satellites should be placed, since the size of the orbit is random, or if the buttons on the right affect the game in any way)

Looks fun, but not clear how to play. I just spammed things on orbit and hoped for the best
The visuals are really nice! I think some more semblance of strategy or goal would've been nice. Overall, its a very fun little minigame. I think a sandbox mode where you can choose the size of the orbit would be fun to try and get the densest orbit possible.

I think I figured it out, you just want to not have the satellites you place in orbit crash? The orbit ones just have a set orbit size so you need to line those up so they don't cross so much and the stationary ones you just don't want to place right in the orbit of another satellite since those don't move?
I love the display and simulated collisions. The VFX are great. Would have been neat to have some sort of goal.

The game looks great but I guess I can't compete with a chimp ahah

I absolutely love the art of this game and the style, the game was also very fun to try and figure out what to do. Good job!

The art style is amazing, I like the retro-futuristic vibes. The volume dial is amazing, as well as the spinning not-tape next to the monitor. The winning strategy seems to be: place a few satellites and leave. Sound effects are also nice. Well done on the game.
Art style is neat and probably because of this I stuck with this game trying to figure out what to do. The concept is fun, too bad it's not explained in the game. Somehow spamming satellites having no idea what I'm doing led me to the better score than when I finally understood the goal and tried to execute some strategy :D

Really well presented cool having the old style monitor with interactive bits on it! The satellite physics is really satisfying to watch! I think like other folks I think my best attempt was probably just randomly clicking rather than trying to figure out a strategy - although I expect part of that is just not having the right strategy  Very difficult to pull anything back once things start going wrong but I suppose that's the point
Yeah, the random radii isn't the best option. Lost too much time trying to implement satisfying player-driven oribtal velocities and had to fall back on something simpler the last day. It is designed to fail like its namesake once things go wrong. Next jam I'll have to dedicate set time to tutorialization definitely a blunder this time around

I really really like the concept of this game, first and foremost. I think it would benefit greatly being in 3D though, if you wanted to continue development post jam imo. In regards to the jam version, I think some machine noise/static could've improved the mood inside the "module" or wherever our character is lol anyway, this concept is really cool and worth pursuing I think! well done! c:

Pretty amusing game, although it felt like placing the orbiting ones in the center and the stationary ones in the corners was almost always the optimal move. I suppose it could have included some eccentric orbits, although that probably wouldn't be very realistic. Nice job!
I liked the sounds, the graphics and the mood. But I did not figure out a reliable strategy to place the satellites. Placing them in the center worked best but once one gets destroyed, it's over. :D
