It's a decent miner game that didn't provide me with a new gaming experience, but it did captivate me with its calm and atmospheric gameplay.

Buddy, you knocked it out of the park. What a great game! Dig Dug with a pick axe! Just a couple of suggestions: 1. Add the left mouse button for the pick axe as well. 2. There is a small bug, after you clear a tile the game still thinks the tile is there 3. Is there a way to go up because the jump was not enough, unless we are supposed to dig in a stair step manner.
Anyway, good on you, your game is great, with a little work it could be something special. Did you do the little miner guy or did you find him somewhere else?
I enjoyed this! I like the wall climbing and ability to mine up and down. Side to side is a little slower as it resets my movement input after mining (up down doesn't because of gravity and jump force). The background track was perfect and I had a cozy time :) hunter.png
Nice little game. Sometimes when I digged then the A/D movement is buggy. Example: Digged to the right and want to go to right, press D, nothing happens, press A then D, moves to right.
Thank you all for your kind words. The movement issue you are experiencing is sometimes occuring on tile edges. I noticed it during developement but sadly i did not have enough time to "dig deeper" and resolve the issue. Glad to hear you are having a great time anyway.
I also had the movement issue you are mentioning, with every horizontal movement after digging.
But the game is still cool, a bit tedious in the end to find the last one, I did not get lucky and had t dig quite a lot, but still nice and peaceful
Excellent jam game! Slightly janky controls that did not distract from the gameplay, simple premise that way accomplished in a quick play session, good art and _sounds_. Overall great job!
Nice relaxing game. Some of those were very hidden. I also experienced some movement jank. I did manage to dig straight down and then hug the wall to climb back up which was very efficient.
Hey! I really liked the chill vibe in the game. Digging the ground with a pickaxe is very soothing. The tile destruction mechanic is cool. Found all the ammonites.
The only thing missing is some kind of hint, at least a direction where to look for them, because I had to dig up almost the entire map to find the last one :).
Otherwise, great game for a game jam. Great job!
To add something new to the comments, please don't attach text labels as children to objects that can rotate! I'm talking about ammonites. You can fix this by either having a script that will always make the label counter the rotation of the fossil, or you can have those objects separated and have a script that will make label copy the fossil's position. Good job!
Digging is fun, but I also found other joys: I can jump higher and higher! I can also jump up to dig from high places! But collectibles seem to be few, and I want to get more shells.
Seems that your game more suitable for ld 57 ! Dig to depth
@ranejeb I actually thought it s kinda fund 2 have the text roll around, but i can see how it might be irritating. Hope you could enjoy the game anyway.
