box/10 would take my meds again

I loved the game, I thought the music was really cool and your interpretation of the theme was incredible! I liked the visuals, I liked the mechanics, I wanted more levels to play! Congratulations

Wow, this is involved! It hurts my brain trying to wrap my head around what's going on on all three layers  Nice job!

I'd recommend not snapping the camera back to the first layer when hitting play - I found that frustrating, and tried to work around it by hitting playing, then pause, and going back to my preferred layer, but hitting play just snapped back back to the first layer again

jacobingalls 2025-04-08 04:13

Cool take on the theme! I found the difficulty jump from level 1 to 2 too high. I think a more gradual introduction to the layers would have been helpful (I didn't know there were three for a while)

dubiousduck 2025-04-08 04:37

@dxk2294 Thank you for the feedback!

Our original intention was that once you finish setting up items for all the layers, you hit "run" to see all the layers in actions at once, hence the camera pulls back to the first layer. But yeah as you suggested, we should make that as an optional feature as it might be hard to work around for players.

What a great idea! I love your take on the theme by adding depth to the puzzle platformer. Special shoutout to the music for being so nice and relaxing, and also the scripting for the AI and placement of objects in the world. I experienced an issue that I'm not sure is a bug or I just didn't solve the puzzle yet, but I got everyone to their flags but the level did not progress

@jag Thanks for playing!

For this situation, I think you have to push the concept guy (the deepest layer) to the right just a little bit further using any of the items when paused, and and level transition should be properly triggered. Let me know if it works!

jag 2025-04-08 06:26

@dubiousduck Ah I see, I didn't know you could still interact with them after they've moved, thanks!

slyz 2025-04-08 10:49

Fun game ! It's a little hard for my dumb head to understand how to solve some levels but it's great :)

morepixels 2025-04-08 10:57

This hurt my brain! This was really cool though! really impressive

madelinef 2025-04-08 11:03

A fun and original concept ! the mood is really good solving this puzzle in several layers is quite challenging.

nicknickolas 2025-04-08 11:05

This game broke my brain...

toupaks 2025-04-08 11:27

Insane cooking for the puzzles on different layers, very cool idea ! Love that you can try again very smoothly it makes the difficulty more approachable you can just try stuff until it works. (maybe some tips if you get stuck for too long could be nice ?). Very original and enjoyable !

threegoldeneggs 2025-04-08 18:32

Ooh this was a challenging one! A really fun concept, and very satisfying when you figure it out.

bizcochitos 2025-04-08 20:32

Enjoyed it very much, dragging the items around the level is so satisfactory!!! The music is also pretty neat :)

gold-daniel 2025-04-08 20:51

Cool puzzle game! Using depth as layers is a creative interpretation. The music is smooth and almost puts you in a trance as you play. I also like the cute but simple art, all it needs to be, the art conveys what all the objects do.

Some feedback, sometimes I was confused as you can see the next layer in the background, it sort of muddled my thinking when working through the puzzles. You can also place items while its running, not sure if that is intentional.

Overall great entry :)

garyglhf 2025-04-09 07:55

I'm thrilled with the game, the music is excellent. The mechanics with the change of plans are awesome. When passing through the second level, there really is a problem on the last layer, if the yellow one touches the corner of the cube, it stops and hangs on the corner without moving further, most likely something with a collision. But I liked the game so much, and I decided that I would find a way to complete the level. I noticed that during the pause, if you add elements, you can move them. Therefore, I used the wall and moved it as an additional platform, and it turned out. Thank you for playing, in the short time that we have to develop, you have made a very cool game.Снимок экрана 2025-04-09 103615.pngСнимок экрана 2025-04-09 104102.png

dubiousduck 2025-04-09 17:18

@garyglhf Thank you for the encouragement! Yeah we should definitely fix the collision issue in the future, but I'm glad you found a way to solve it! Thank you again for playing!

engoneer 2025-04-10 03:25

fun idea! dual thinking is always a fun game mechanic, you hit the perfect balance in scope and polish and its really satisfying to see a game like this. I think the box could be explained a bit better right away but otherwise it all made sense fast.

fikusm9 2025-04-10 10:28

WOW! I love this idea! It took me a while to get that I can pouse and than place more objects. I'm kinda sad there are only 3 levels, this concept can be expended so much. Good job!!!

monogatari 2025-04-10 16:01

The idea is really cool, nice presentation of the theme ! Music is really loud tho, but the composition is incredible, it fits perfectly and has a nice atmosphere ! I struggled a lot with the puzzles, maybe i'm just bad hahaha. Arts are cute too !

trevor-lentz 2025-04-11 05:54

I cannot understate how much I enjoyed the music ♪♫♪. Seriously awesome work on that. The mechanics and presentation of the game were very well executed. A single level that would show off each of the mechanics in order for a tutorial would have been very appreciated. Then again, who has time for all that in a jam? XD

adamwigs 2025-04-11 06:00

I'm so tired and this made me wake up my brain cells, so thanks for that! Really fun concept. I really liked the different layers interacting, so awesome level design. I did find the difficulty jump pretty intense between level one and two. Level one felt very intuitive and the level two felt like I was thrown in the deep end! Still a lot of fun, great job!

sarafilipa 2025-04-12 21:14

This rocks! Very unique (in a good way) interpretation of the theme that feels really polished. The sound design is a plus - also, cute graphics!

camer-the-dragon 2025-04-13 16:44

Cool game! I like the overlapping layers and the puzzle elements, the graphics and audio are really nice too. There is a strange bug I found though, if one of the characters is at the flag, if you spam pause and run then it sometimes considers the level complete, even if only one section finished
