Hey there this was great and i had some fun playing it! Congrats on the submission. Love the idea of the interactions just felt a lot of pressure to skip them and didn't get much time reading them. Might be cool to have the longer ones pause the shadow to establish character and game play loop and then the proceeding ones to automatically scroll with no "click" required!

Awesome stuff! :v:

Wow this looks cool and fresh. The mood is dense, I love this.

I like the retro PS1 graphics stile, specially of the cave, reminds me of the first Tomb Raider :older_man: Quite innovative as well

better storyline would be preferred but overall, a good game

papykent 2025-04-14 08:19

Loved the mood and the aesthetic, there is potential to develop quiet the story about their journey! In the QTE are you supposed to keep holding space bar or release it at the end (is the objective one big breath or chain multiple breaths ?)

x2shadow 2025-04-14 08:43

@papykent Thank you for feedback :) In QTE I didn't have time to add sounds that should have made it clearer. The idea was that you hold down the spacebar to inhale, filling the gauge to the end, and then release it to exhale

The web version was laggy for me (RTX 3080, 32 Gb RAM, Ryzen 9 5900HS), but the game was nice. The mouse sensitivity was way too high, and it was almost impossible to play. When sensitivity was set all the way to 0, it was literally 0 and you could not move mouse. When you moved it by 1 pixel to the right, it was so high that tiny mouse movement turned the character 180 degrees. But I was still able to finish it even though the struggles! I think the fact that the wall was moving towards you while reading text was bad design choice: You gained "edge" for skipping dialog. Also it was very annoying, that there was volume slider but no sound!

Overall still very nice game, I liked it. <3

x2shadow 2025-04-14 09:51

@martta Thank you for the detailed feedback! I apologize for the technical difficulties. I have an RTX 3060 and I let my friends with different video cards play the game, no one had any problems. It's a strange situation with sensitivity too, I'll try to test better in the future. The volume slider is responsible for the volume of the background music ( the game has it :))

martta 2025-04-14 10:25

Ah yes, the ambient music was not audible on my speakers but then I put my headphones on I could hear it!

alex-mironchuk 2025-04-14 12:03

I especially like the PS1 atmosphere and styling in this game.

wyzal 2025-04-14 12:11

Like the art style and theme interpretation. The game can be developed into a very addictive and story DEEP adventure game. Audio is a bit quiet and the high mouse sensitivity gets in the way. The main menu seems to have settings, but copy and drag them to a popup window (that appears by pressing esc) would probably solve these problems. Increasing the upper threshold for the audio settings would also be nice. Anyways, great concept, good job!

anton-florey 2025-04-14 16:08

Very moody and just the perfect play time to not get bored :) Is there an ending where both make it out?

x2shadow 2025-04-14 16:21

@anton-florey Thanks! No, unfortunately there is no such ending, but I liked the idea of the story and I may make a more complete and expanded remake in the future :)

wetburritosupreme 2025-04-14 19:13

Great tone! The pixel graphics really add to the spooky factor, nicely done!

hdvr02 2025-04-14 22:32

Very vibe game. I liked the way the graphics were done

brian-russell 2025-04-15 06:10

NOOOO! Why can't I save her!! haha, thanks for the game. Please add a save the girl ending!

heretic 2025-04-15 09:35

very atmospheric and asbcurricular, the game looks like lost media, of the unpleasant sometimes the text layered on top of each other, otherwise a very pressing and interesting experience

oeuegha 2025-04-15 10:03

Like graphics, but i believe choices in dialogs would work better than straight walking in corridor.

milq 2025-04-15 17:30

Wow, what a great game! I love the PSX-style graphics and the music choice, both create an incredible mood and a truly unique sense of originality. It might be interesting to add a few more mechanics to interact with the girl or include some extra visual customization for the cave. Is the cave procedurally generated? If so, my compliments. Despite these small suggestions, I just want to offer my sincere congratulations. What an excellent entry, great game!

garywiss 2025-04-16 22:27

Like the 32bits style graphics and the eerie mood, good work !

i-pots 2025-04-17 11:19

Cute game! I like this gameplay!

zatrit 2025-04-17 17:06

It was very atmospheric and intense. Great job!

natahan 2025-04-17 17:08

Wow, the game is very well done. I love the atmosphere! 😍

lespaul59 2025-04-19 08:33

Love the nostalgic ps1 vibe also reminds me of the Chillas Art Games (maybe intended from you ;)). The mood is cool, but I noticed that when you talk with the girl, and you have to play the breath game that you can't control the darkness, and you just die — but maybe that's also intended. Anyway cool game!

jorgen 2025-04-20 17:21

Great little game with a nice message. Loved that I had some options in the menu and at least 2 different endings.

maxdrago 2025-04-21 08:20

A very atmospheric little adventure. Great game!

dock-frankenstein 2025-04-24 19:03

Aaahh, this game has such a nice story. Although the game doesn't account for being resourceful, so on my second playthrough where I didn't use a single flare the dialogue still said I had only one left. I hoped there would be a different ending if you preserved them, but no
