Very fun, congrats:) The music makes the difference
Had a good time with this! I got to around 1500m depth I think with maxed out turrets - but Carl did not survive. The setting is really cool, and the music really makes it feel like a last battle. Well done :D
It's fun, and the music adds tension to the game. But it seems that you are blocked after upgrading a turret, maybe i am missing a keybind ?
I'll admit I watched as my first my rig was being attacked the first time around. I had no idea I was supposed to turn around haha. I managed to survive a couple minutes after that. A fun experience with some banging tunes!
Maxed out very quickly. Carl did not die. I played the game out for like 10 minutes. Good overall, just needs more progression.
Really solid game, i especially loved the music! Just needs a bit more balancing and progression and it will be perfect!
Cool game. Nice graphics, great audio. SOme help at the first wave would have been nice. Like others before me i had no idea there were any controls behind me. Serveral times when trying to purchase a second or third weapon the purchasing screen would freeze up (at least thats what i thought it was doing), and it didnt let me get out of it. Not sure if i was out of money. The third time this happened i did have enough resources so i dont know what it was. Good job though.
Nice stuff! Impressive animations on the guns, nice intro animation, interesting concept. I think I got maxed out around 1k deep. Definitely needs a controls page (or you can write the controls here on this game page) to explain how to get started since I had to die before I even saw the defense management position. Did you folks compose this music? If so that's awesome.
Nice work! Took a minute to figure out what was going on but managed to spam the heal button faster than I lost health so made it to the end.
Enjoyed playing, but had no idea what to do until I read some of the comments here. Nice music, nice play. Would like to see a few more upgrade levels or weapons, but regardless, it was really fun.
That was fun! I find interesting how this game gradually becomes a clicker. There was only one problem - either you are looking at the monsters and how your guns shoot (having fun) or looking at the terminal (doing stuff to survive). Would be better if I could somehow combine these.
Simple but fun ! Wish I had a gun myself :smirk:
I didn't expect much from this game, but damn man, you made a really very enjoyable and addictive game, I really liked the concept. very cool
very addictive game, only thing was it took a minute for me to understand what to do.
It was really fun until i upgraded everything. Turret is great but flamethrower felt like it's doing nothing. I wish i could shoot manually too.
Hah, it was fun! I wish I had a little gun to shoot the spiders)) nice game and music!
Fun game, the music and sound effects add to the tension a lot, and it was satisfying seeing my machine guns go ham.
It's a vibe! ... I'm not sure how much fun I had in the end though.
After a few rough starts where I didn't realize the guns where making the money (mostly because two times I had bad luck or something and the gun or flamethrower didn't bring in any before Carl died) -- I got the hang of it.
It's also a bit of a mood, the audio works well in context.
It does have a bit of a dominant strategy, where you should just mostly 1. buy any guns, 2. upgrade, 3. focus on repairs and getting the max up, almost exclusively in that order (though you may need one or two repairs or max-ups before that point).
Also, when playing, you're missing out on most of the spectacle, as nearly all time actually playing the game is spent in the blocky menu, not looking at the carnage behind you, where most of the graphics TLC went.
Mood is excellent, would be nice to have some more options for the turrets, and maybe placement, otherwise pretty fun!
M O O D.
Music slaps. Gameplay loop was simple but fun. I managed to make it to the "Thanks for Playing" screen around the 2k depth mark. Would have liked to be able to place more turrets / have the console placed so you can see the turrets mowing down enemies as some others have said. But overall, I really enjoyed this game and (especially) the music :)
I hope Carl's okay!
This was a great game! Amazing what you all accomplished in just 3 days. The graphics, VFX, and music were all amazing. My only complaint is that it hits a dead end pretty quickly once you've upgraded all your guns, and the game just plays itself, while you occasionally repair some damage. Would be nice to have more turret options and a system of enemy waves where some enemies are resistant to certain guns so you have to sell a gun and replace it to combat the new enemy type.
CARL NOOOOOOO! fun idea, if it weren't for the jam timing I'd expect there would be more weapons to play with. I feel like the player needs more to do. there isn't really any reason for the first person view with this amount of interaction.
Really nice work on the graphics, they fit the game really well. It would have been nice if there'd been more turret types or perhaps more levels of upgrades. As it was, the second half of the game is mostly stockpiling resources to repair while your maxed-out turrets hold off the enemy. It also was a little confusing to start off, but once I got the hang of it it made sense.
