@robobarbie Thanks for the comment, since this is the first time I've posted the game, this is the first time I've received a comment, and it's so gratifying)
Congratulations on your first game and Ludum Dare submission! Just a suggestion, try to change your title to, well, an actual title, it will make your game more likely to be played by other people.
Hard game! But I really liked the jumping. Great game jam game in that it has simple input/game mechanics, but it feels really nice to do that thing over and over :)
I think that the movement could have been snappier, so higher gravity and quicker jumps. I also missed feedback when a collision would kill me. I assume it depends on velocity. It would be nice then to have some kind of meter or just show an image when the threshold value for getting me killed was reached. I also missed sounds. Just some wind ambience or similar looping in the background, and a sound when releasing the jump I think would have given a lot. There are free sound libraries, for example freesound.org where you can find it really easy. Just make sure it's creative common so you are allowed to use them.
Anyways great first entry and good luck on the next! :D
edit: oh yeah! I think it would be really nice to have a link back here from itch, so people don't loose this site before leaving a score! I there is one that I just missed, just ignore this :P
@bjornstenlund hello, thanks for such extensive criticism, I wanted to add sounds and background to refine a bit.... but I didn't have much time, I was very busy, But yes, I wanted to add different sounds when the robot hits something and the sound of an explosion when losing, and as for jumping, I decided to leave them like that because they are funny, I think the sounds and background are what these jumps lack. edit: Well, whether you crash or not is already calculated there, so (if (the coordinate at the moment when you left the ground minus the landing coordinate is greater than the maximum load ) then (death) )
Very tricky but fun concept. I liked the technical side of the second jump catching your fall or timing right to hop over the rocks.
If the crash was able to be anticipated, like with a danger meter or perhaps a healthbar as well to make it more forgiving, I think I would've played for longer.
But a fun and different entry to the other games published.
i love the title "A robot with funny physics goes down for a diamond". It's honestly a mood.
Very good for your first game! Liked the momvement controls, very unique!
Hey, I saw your post! Don't give up!
Your game is fun and you will improve as you make more and more games!
Managed to jump to the first checkpoint. Love that there are checkpoints! Cool mechanic, but for a jam game I’d go beyond just a double jump. Would also add a restart button—sometimes you’re mid-air and already know you’re doomed. Fun and hardcore!
@tokto oh okay I kept trying to jump in the middle of the air to land slower, but that explains why I couldn't get it to work. Maybe the feedback should be that jumping in that direction will kill you, color the beam green if OK, red if death maybe?

Classic rage game, nice! I think with some more development it could be fun, but rage games aren't really my thing personally. Building up momentum before a jump is a great idea. Great that there are checkpoints but a visual indicator for them would be a nice improvement.
It's so cool that there are checkpoints! I liked that the level of the lava was rising. This is a great game!
@bjornstenlund @Vinnnie @TurboLaser @bjornstenlund @AntagonistBob @robobarbie Thank you for your comments, I decided to finish some things in the game, and although I do not insist, I would be pleased if you played on itch, the game became much more enjoyable.
edit: I fixed it, but while I was testing, I moved the end goal to the beginning, and forgot to put it back XD.
@tokto I tested it again and I really think the checkpoints are a good idea and I got quite a bit further this time. It feels a lot better!
I cannot maximize the game, it might be a thing with my browser. But I noticed that I got a lot more speed if I press at the B position instead of A so my jump must have been a lot slower than intended. I assume that you use the mouse pixel coordinates to calculate jump speed then, for example mousepos = pixel {503, 1129}. The problem with that is that you will have different jump force depending what resolution your screen have. Typically you want to you use view space instead which would give you the mouse pos as a number between 0 and 1. So if x is 0 the mouse is at the left border of the game window and if 1 its at the right. I'm not saying you need to fix it now, but maybe keep in mind for your next game! This also means that if you using a 4k screen your jumping might be a lot quicker than mine. So me saying that I wanted the jumping to be snappier might because I'm playing windowed on a 1920x1080 screen.

@bjornstenlund Yes, there is such a problem, thank you so much for the feedback, I realized that I really like receiving them)
Cool game
I kept dying right away. Now that I read comments ill try again. maybe i wasn't jumping high enough to move around. full screen issue maybe? okay yah further away makes for larger jump. made it to second checkpoint. Pretty good game for a jam. could use a little work on the mechanic. maybe health bar so you dont die first fall. like give it a couple hits before exploding? more for longer game play than anything. I did same though. fall and die. hmm. something for us all to think about.
Pretty cool game and a very good submission for a first time! There's a lot potential and the gameplay is really fun
the sound effects and music are super great in this! congrats on finishing your first LD and game, thats a big accomplishment! just a small thing to note for your future games, learning how to adjust the screen resolution/scale/aspect ratio is a small but super helpful thing, I found it hard to read the text at the beginning because it's quite small on my screen.
@CamComDuck Yes, I've already figured it out : P, Eh.... I don't like doing backend stuff... screen size, json saving, it all seems complicated to me.... But I'll try next time.
Lol reminds me of Happy Wheels and the gunshot explosion noise made me laugh out loud.
Very cute and funny little game!
The deaths felt a bit inconsistent for me, as the robot sometimes survived landing on its head. I also wish you had more control of how the robot turns. Other than that, it was fun!
So, a reverse getting over it? I love it
Simple but engaging to play! great job
You really embarassed me because I remember my first game and it was so bad in comparation with your game. It has really good execution to be honest. Ambients are great also and game reminds me Getting over it a bit
Congratulations on the release of your first game! Fun little game :)
Well done on your first try! I hope to see your entry next ludum dare! The SFX are cool and the concept is fun. Keep on making games!
pretty good for a first try  the sfx really made me laugh :joy:
The sound effect are funny. The jump seems a bit strange too, sometime the robot exploded as i was on the ground. Anyway nice entry !
Took me a while to get the hang of the physics but I think that's part of the point. Got to the lava though, is there a way to get past it?
@oliver-day Not really, but there are the same checkpoints that the player descends through, and when the player dies, lava appears at the very bottom, meaning it gives them time to climb higher.
