Oh! This is interesting, I like it! I love puzzles. Our game is a bit similar.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD56 → Tiny Escape

Firts try lets gooo! Love it. Simple but at the same time very interesting. It's easy to understand without words and gets progresively more complicated - very cool!

One thing I would like to have is a restart level button, because sometimes you want to experiment with a level more before commiting. :)
The voice lines (and the sound effects in general) are very cure. :D I'll also check out Strudel as I failed to create any music for my game using my own methods (e.g. MilkyTracker).
Btw, I also used Ebitengine for my game. :D
I didn't fully understand the behaviour of different enemies but I still found it fun to try to get as far as possible. I can imagine this being a great mobile game. I especially liked the sound effects!
Screenshot 2024-10-09 at 13-34-21 Tiny Escape by Loïg.png Good puzzles. There's a lot of mechanics to keep in mind, (visibility, terrain, enemy movement...), but you did a great job at introducing them one level at a time. Also having to balance food, movement and people add another layer of complexity, and the way everything fits together is really impressive! It would be interesting to see how these ideas could be explored further!
Allez, On y va! So cute. Nice puzzle game, I like the balance of two energy levels (food/people) being able to sacrifice one of them but being able to continue on levels is a very nice take on the puzzle game. Winning the war over each battle. I really love How you introduced each game mechanism in a show dont tell manners, very well done!
Very fun ! And I love the art.
Really cool game, love the art style and the sounds!
Good puzzle game with a nice variety of mechanics. Graphics look good too. An option to restart a level and restart level on death would be nice.
Fun and easy to get into, I liked it !
Very well done! The early levels teach mechanics in a nice gradual way, and the puzzles are satisfying and interesting. I did die on the last level and wished I could restart just at that level, because going through the first 14 again didn't seem fun, but overall I was very impressed! The sound effects especially are fun :)
Very nice puzzle game that made good use of the theme. I really liked the different obstacles and other creatures that interacted with.
Ooh, I love the click when you hover the hexes. There's just something so nice about it. Pretty well made puzzle game. Too bad it ends just when it has taught you all the mechanics. One or two really puzzling levels would have made it perfect. On the other hand I was just about to run out of my folk so even one more level would have probably been a game over. Graphics were so nice too. Making a game with Go and using a live coding platform for music is pretty crazy! Good job!
This is great! I really liked how small the people felt
Liked the noiseswhenmovingand the clever mechanic presentation. GJ!
Thanks everybody for trying the game and for your comments!
@quasilyte @harmadillo @bestjess indeed, a restart button could have been a good addition. However, as you lose people and food over time it was not obvious how to implement it: it could bring back to the start of the level in the same state that you started it before… but maybe this state is so that it is not possible to finish the level, or maybe it will prevent you to solve a later level.
@m2tias I agree with you, after teaching the mechanics, having a few more real levels would have been good. However, I did not manage to make it in time for the deadline. In fact, I am not sure the mechanics would allow for interesting levels… but when I realized it it was a bit late to change everything.
