Very evocative game. A bit too easy, doesn't need to be 25 days long. You can brace your buildings using the platforms and they'll never fall over.

Still really dig the mood.

I had a lot of fun playing your game ! I think the building system is cool and trying to balance your construction too. But I think the game is too easy, you can easily cheese the "balancing" part with shroom or just by blocking the building between two lands. 25 days is a long time to reach the end of the game I think, and the "height" part can definitly be improved. I had a fun time overall !

hell yeah this is awesome! ^^ i had to stop placing houses bc it kept not responding when spawning more people xD

@rickylee that's amazing  i didn't get around to balancing population but it should have occurred to me to put some maxes in.

What a wonderful game! I loved so much about it - the cohesive nature of building shelter over existing buildings - but then those platforms are wrenched harder when the snail tilts. The different weather provides unique challenges, but often, strategies that are successful for one will be sufficient for multiple, so you never feel like you are 'wasting' points. The visuals were charming and the scenarios is quite evocative - I found it very meditative to play (much assisted by the wonderful music choice). Excellent work!

I LOVE THIS! Building shelter is very fun and seeing all the different weather events was interesting. I went crazy like Ricky after I got a few rounds in and I was able to catch all the houses that fell so I didn't lose anything except some mushroom buildings.

Fun little game, but It seemed like there was no difficulty curve until the final level where suddenly all forecasts are happening at once without warning

Behold the Leaning Tower of Snailisa :)

One small complaint I have is that at some point it get a bit tiring to drag 200 buildings from the top left to wherever I want to place them 😅 (at some point I just button-mashed over there directly then started placing platforms right below them)

shamiya 2024-10-13 16:22

I love the concept, it was really fun! I wish there was more of a difficulty curve.

I love how the game combines a thoughtful take on the theme with eye-catching visuals. God Job!

12345.png You shouldn't be able to move the building while day begins, and the mushroom (or whatever) cannot be moved after placed, not sure why. Nevertheless, it's a very interesting game, right now it's very casual XD.

It has a nice look and feel and cool to be able to build and deck out the snail however you want!

Here's what I ended up with!

I love how everyone is sharing pictures of what they made... maybe I'll try to make a game where people can do that next time around :)

jezzamon 2024-10-17 05:50

@itsboats haha that is awesome!

fepark 2024-10-17 05:59

really chugged when i got to about 600 people - but that is also how you know a game is good, haha.

Definitely a super interesting take on the theme and city (snail?) builders? Love the twist on having the city survive different forms of travel, would have loved stuff to get even more extreme later on (earthquakes? extreme wind?). Very original!

The physics puzzle was interesting! And the way you need to account for multiple movements makes building more of a challenge than is usual in city building games.

aurailus 2024-10-25 07:10

This is cool! Physics puzzles in Jam games are very rare, so it was a nice sight to see. I really liked the music, and the snail was cute as well. Would have been nice to have some sort of pressure in the gameplay loop, like losing if I don't meet a quota or something. Nice game!
