I did not manage to complete the game as I got too frustrated and accidentally pressed a button on my mouse and it quit the page. The idea is really good but it's a bit too rough. The art and music are great. With some tweaking it could be a really really good game.

I always struggle with this type of game. When I fell in the cave are your legs suppose to break and that is why you can move anymore or did I hit a bug? If it was the former a small audio or visual cue would have been nice.
Overall the graphics were really good and the controls were just the right amound of jank. I think I just needed a little more skill to finish it. For me the volume sliders were set to minimum on start up for me so I couldn't turn anything down. Good job though, it shows a lot of promise

@surfa thank you for playing our game! Yeah the character breaks their legs when falling down the hole, we have dialogue written which we will add in the post jam version ^^ (sfx are also a good idea, we will ask our composer to create something for that!) Settings will also be fixed in the post jam ^^

The web build was kind of spazzy, but after downloading it, it was a lot more reasonable! 11:39 first run. :D
You monsters! I finished it, but my sanity has been broken into a million different pieces. 2024-10-14_02-31-41.png
Good game! Keep it up :v:

Cool game, interesting concept. It might be a little difficult, but that’s normal, similar to Getting Over It
Very nice! Could clearly see the Getting over it vibe, and the controls are quite nice. Levels are cool, too! I think the game would benefit from overall polish though: maybe character animations, and sound effects when the pickaxe hits something. Nice work overall.
One thing I liked is that, while the movement is getting-over-it-like, and some parts of the map seem designed for that salty feeling of accidentally losing progress, it is still somewhat friendly thanks to the checkpoints. One thing I never got the hang on (pun not intended but not unwelcome) were the hooks. Most of them I couldn't hook to, and when I did hook, it didn't seem to be touching the pickaxe at all.
I finished with 15/20 wisps, but for some reason the collectibles page still says I got zero :(

(well, at least I got to enter on the top 10 leaderboard... for now)
Looking forward to the post-jam version (even though I know I'll be as bad at it as I was here 😅)

@wendel-scardua Thank you so much for trying our game and thank you for the feedback! The movement with hooks are definitely not working as they're supposed to, hopefully we can find a different way to contruct it for the post-jam version. I think the issue with wisps is that they don't store the information anywhere atm? But thank you so much for the note so we can figure out a fix for it! *I think most things in the main menu isn't working atm tbf* Again thank you so much for the contructive feedback!

lol that pickaxe can generate a LOT of speed. great for speedrun tech
Wooo, very fun game! It was so hard lol! I did not finish, but I still had a great time trying!! The art is fun, and I liked the wolf a lot. The pickaxe made me fling to so many places I didnt expect. Great job and thanks for the fun!!
I'm playing the one in itch.io to be fair. I can see the game though I may need more time to get used to this kind of game.

Ah yes, the gnome game. A perfect game to practice inner peace and mindfulness. The thing I liked is that pickaxe really felt like a pickaxe: it would open secret paths in the walls, it would mine the rocks projectiles that's supposed to fall on your head, it would mine the gold(aka spirits?) etc. This systemic stuff is very good. And I think it has potential to be expanded even further. This was my first time playing a game of this type and I enjoyed it. I also somehow managed to get on the leaderboard! image.png
