Managed to defeat the nefarious Tardigrade with 68 juice remaining!
This was great! I loved the opening here - jumping off a cliff is a truly dramatic entrance. The graphics in general were really nice here, I enjoy this version of cellular creatures much more than the real-life counterparts. The puns and humour were awesome too (cheese...). I never knew that the secret to a good martial arts fight was a sword.
I actually really liked the juice mechanic here - it was a great way to prevent the game from being too punishing/frustrating with a very generous amount of "life", while also rewarding good play with higher scores.
One thing which was a bit confusing though was the background/one-way platforms. They were used as a background in several places, but also served as a part of platforming in others, and it took me a while to figure out you can stand on them and press down to go through them. The corners there felt a bit weird too.
Overall though, I enjoyed it! Great entry!

@taotang @frogman thanks!
I tried something with the background platforms (steps one tile high acting as slopes), so that I wouldn't need slopes. Though I agree it plays weird with the one-way platform system in some (literal) corner cases.
I kept it because it gives a squishy/mushy vibe, and there are no punishing deaths if you fall off.
Oh this game is so awesome! The art, the gameplay, the boss fight! It's all so polished and well executed it's hard to believe this was only made in a weekend by one person! You have some amazing talent and this proves it. This game feels like a demo to a much larger game and honestly I wish it was because it would be going on my wishlist right now. Really reminds me of Wuppo which is one of my favourite 2d platformer adventure games. The only nitpick I have is that I was initially a bit confused about the "background" platforms that actually I could stand on but I quickly figured it out. Excellent work, I love it!
Such a lovely piece of art, good job. Good sounds on blob's movement, feels alive.

Wow, the level of polish! Nothing bad to say about this. Defeated the Tardigrade and instantly wanted more. The sword mechanic was really satisfying as well.

What a fun game! This one goes in my bookmarkbar for later casual-plays :) I love how all the little characters have little texts/gags. Did not read them all, but I especially laughed about the one saying its lefthanded
FeedbackL - Grapics are very well done and polished. I like the colorscheme and the overall feel - The sound effects are great. Even the lack of music in the 'transitionroom' between the last level and the boss really adds to the doom-feeling just before seeing the boss - I love how you loose the juices when getting hit. It's a modern take on these kinds of games. I'm still stuck in that mindset of having hearts, and when they run out the level restarts... What you did is much more fun! - However, this system felt a but useless when confronting the boss. I felt like it did not really matter when I got hit. Then I realized that the juices are a kind of score, and that they slowly disappear. I ended up with 0 juices. So I guess, if one wants the highscore, that it really DOES matter to not get hit after all :-)
The ending cracked me up haha

I consider this game a Winner

Very nice visual style, and it was fun to play! The final boss was challenging, but I made it through!!!
очень крутая игра, мне всё понравилось!
Damn, that's nice for a compo game, they should highlight that better. I love platformers and this was pretty fun and definitely impressive for a compo game. Niiice graphics and really really liked how you control the character at the beginning to start the game, way better than saying "press start". Main character reminds me of Gish, lol. And the cheese parts coming out remind me of Sonic. Goooood work on this.

Now for some more detailed feedback.
I love the blob's movements. It's so SLIPPY! I like the way it moves. It's hard to control the blob, but it's fun. I didn't read much of the dialogue (I missed a lot of the humor). The locations are very colorful and stylish. My favorite part was the boss fight. It was really challenging. I also like that I can take damage multiple times thanks to the juice.
Like I said, the game has a pizza tower vibe. It's stylish, colorful, wacky. And I like it. It would have been cool to have an opening cutscene, but I understand that this is a comp. Definitely one of the games.

The Boss literally sucked all the juice out of me! :D But I liked that you can't die here, it's unusual for a game of this genre. Beautiful, atmospheric, feels like a high-quality productbbbbbb.png

microadv.png Neat little game. Jumping feels good, graphics were very cute. The fact that you cant die and there is no penalty is cool for a compo/game jam but for a full game it should at least port me back to the start of the current room.
Very good looking game ! I love the color palette and the simple cute graphics
I loved the old school adventure game vibes. The humor and charming music really brought in the mood, and it was so fun all the little hidden ways you could get juice.
Didn't quite get all 100, but pretty close?

I liked the animations and all the messages. I also thought the level designs were pretty cool. Some of the pixel art seemed a little out of place like the keys, swords and extra large bacteria, but it was very self consistent.
Mighty impressive --- good fun and a cool experience --- loving the dialogues --- how you play with platforms that are in the background that yet you can interact with and jump on --- I found that fresh I got stuck on like the 3rd level on top of a cell below me that was blocking the way towards the end of the level that I didn't know how to destroy But yeah --- real impressive you could do all that on your own in 48h only --- kudos to you --- great sound design also --- keep it up happy testing tc man :-)

Thank you all for the 20+ ratings!
@strangeryann thanks! The keys in that level are a bit less visible. If all else fails, you can restart with R.
@sudocoffee I actually didn't count the maximum score until now. There was even a patch near the end of compo time to raise the amount of juice drops because lots of testers had none left after the boss fight. But with perfect play, you can get… *checks all levels* 99 points. I know, frustrating right?
