Nice take on the theme and the dungeon crawl genre. I liked that you can control your summons with the cursor, took a while to find out (maybe you can update the itch description) but then it felt pretty good, lurking behind a corner while my rats teared that poor archer apart. :D If I could wish for one thing, it would be that the summons would be transported into the next level or at least you get some of the mana refunded when entering the next level.

The level generator had some problems, on level 4 I started in a rooom with no doors. :P

The summoning is pretty cool. Enjoyed having a little walk around and the randomness of the levels.

might want to play with the hit scanning more. at times when i hit the enemys it didnt register a hit.

Nice game. I especially liked the character controller, very nice feel to the rat army. I wish the summoned warriors were more diverse, because there's no point in summoning anyone but rats (although the game starts to slow down if there are too many rats, but I think that performance shouldn't be part of the game design (on the other hand space invaders don't agree with me))))

This is a very fun game, the graphics and sound are simple yet satisfying - love the little wiggle when characters move! Dungeon generation and pathfinding are also solid. I think similar to other games that summon familiars, the game suffers from snowballing - basically the dominant strategy is to just summon a huge army and the massive DPS will roll over any opposition. But once you solve that problem and flesh this game out a bit, I can see a pretty fun coffeebreak action roguelike in the works! Great entry

Cool idea, really fitting to the theme. I think it's a pretty good game foundation that could be really fun when developed further. The balancing needs a bit more work I think, the skeleton and especially big goblin are really underpowered compared to just spamming rats. Also it would be nice if every generated room had something in there - at least one enemy or a chest.

Was having a great time, treasure chest spawned in front of the door keeping me from moving. :(

this was a fun entry. i liked the summoning monsters to fight for you, the rats were my go to but they felt a little overpowered sometimes. pixel art was well done. it was cool to see the mana fly towards you when you killed an enemy (though it sometimes took a bit too long to actually get to me). i also liked how you could choose to swap or keep your weapon when you found another in a chest (even though the only one i found was worse than the one i started with). sound fx were a nice touch too. i got up to level 5 but started in a room i couldn't get out of. a bit more balancing and polish and this would be a great game but i still had a good time with what was there. overall, nice work!

There are some rough edges, to be sure, but the core gameplay is there and it's enjoyable. It's fun to summon creatures and order them around the dungeon  You can easily see what you were going for with this game, just run out of time to polish it up. - Items are sometimes generated strangely (e.g. a Simple Ring might be worse than the Basic One you start with). Maybe that's on purpose. - The rooms area bare and as such present little visual interest. - Would be nice to have a minimap and the health bar for the wizard (unless you always just die from one hit?). - Some maps generate strangely, e.g. on one level I had to leave the dungeon map and go around the actual area to reach the exit door. There was no other way. It's kinda funny that you can leave the map at all.

Even with all that, I enjoyed the game. I like the system when the summons do not follow you through the levels. It makes you think twice and actually manage your resources well.

i like summoning and controlling the sworm of rats, this is fun

Agree with previous commenters; this is a fun entry that fits the theme well and has some potential. For sure, I'd come back to play future versions of Demonic Dominion.

There seems to be an issue with wall collisions on the bottom and right side of each level, allowing the player to escape the map in some cases.

I hope you are well again by now!

Rats: Fast, cheap, many, deadly, cute. So yeah, I went with a pretty much rat only run because they are way too overpowered  But the gameplay was very satisfying and was fun. Maybe starting with level 9 the world got a bit too ridiculous large. In level 10 I spawned so many rats that the game started lagging, but it was fine. In the final boss fight I (of course) jsut spawned as many rats as possible and they all just died  Maybe there has to be a way to get some additional souls in the boss fight. I notices that I can still poke the boss with my wand, but he killed me and I lost. But very cool entry! Loved the reveal effect.

I really do like the idea, but it does feel a bit empty as of right now. And I can understand why, reading the description and all. It's a solid concept as it is right now though, really good stuff!

Oh sweet swarms of goodness. The minute I moved my mouse and with it ten mice joined its party, was the moment I was hooked. Very satisfying to navigate my party around. Some of the rooms felt empty, but I imagine that was either proc-gen or not enough time. I thought the mana curve was well tuned. Nice work!

Real nice little roguelike with summoning! I could never find anything that raised the soul limit, so I could never try the fourth summon type! Also wasnt clear on how the armor worked, some had damage ratio above 1.0 and some had it under 1.0. Finally, sometimes chests appeared blocking a corridor.
