@sicosiber should be good now. I made an oopsie.
Very impressive work for one person! The game seemed easy at the beginning, but it required more thought as it progressed. Encountered a bug where people run off-screen and zombies can't reach them. Also, it seems like optimizing the cannon shot moment is needed; there's a brief freeze during it. Interesting puzzle, thanks for the gaming pleasure!
@konstantinreed thank you for your rather generous review! The particles causing a slight lag spike is due to the HTML 5 build of my game. All of my HTML godot games have a tiny lag spike when a particle is first instantiated. There is probably a way of fixing this but, as of now, I don't know the solution. Thank you for playing!
What a fun game! Normally the player needs to survive through such zombie apocalypse , but there the player IS the zombie apocalypse  I see that you used your engine and art style from sector-sweep! Is that a conscious decision? Sometimes its a good thing to experiment a bit with different art styles / ideas to develop your skills :-)
Loved the game though! It plays and feels solid and polished
@wouter52 Haha it's just an art style that I can call my own and I've been tinkering with slightly more "realistic" looking characters lately, but I still prefer using these blocky ones. * unrelated, sector-sweep is still being developed, region 4 is almost done (out of 5).
Good game, I didn't expect to see a zombie game in a summoning theme, but it works really well! Loved the different type of zombies you can summon, but I love the green one the most! As I mentioned, I think a stealth/detection-based system would work nice for this game, where the people only go into action mode once a zombie is within x range instead of everyone shooting all at once. Oh, and the tip taps (footsteps) from all your zombies to add an effect of a huge hoard would be really cool!!
If you want to find the vod back, it can be found on YT https://youtu.be/9X9SR_20PuQ
yooo really fun game man! theres something really satisfying unleashing hordes of zombo upon dudes and the limited controls works really well for the style of gameplay. only complaint is sometimes the enemies can can off screen and the slow motion at the end goes a lil too long but overall great work ^_^
Good job ! It is simple, efficient and complete for a game ;)
Fun game. People tend to leave the screen to the sides though, and having absolutely no way to lure zombies to a point often leads to people hiding off screen and the zombies never going there, even if theyre close. I also noticed the restart button didnt work, at least for me in the web build. Had to quit the level and start over.
Surprisingly fun and addictive. Ended up beating all 15 levels.
Loved the zombie AI and being able to maneuver them around. Initially it was just fun tossing zombies around and making them swarm opponents, but in the more difficult levels, it was really fun utilizing both the poison zombies instant attacks dropping them on opponents to convert the most challenging enemies, and using the space bar to guide zombies in ways to dodge attack patterns. Had a blast going through each level!
Nice job!
The web version instantly crashes my browser when a zombie touches a human. I am unable to use the windows built as I am on Mac.
I really liked that the main menu was very well made and the how-to-play screen was very well made. Many Ludum Dare games tend to fail on those areas!
Very nice, rather difficult in the last levels. Great visuals and sound effects, even though there's no music.
@martta sorry to hear that. I am certain that it's the particles. Every one of my godot HTML 5 games has a lag spike when a particle appears, so that would be the issue.
You saw me playing it live :)
It was a funny simulator!
The sound effects were great!
It was functional, it had menu, it was a game :)
Thank you for stopping by!
I love this, wish it had a boss or game completion screen. Otherwise a fun time.
Definitely one the most fun games I've played in the jam so far. Totally reminds me of old Newgrounds games. Completely nailed the humorous tone between the graphics, sound effects and gameplay.
Being able to 'guide' my zombies was a welcome addition. There was actually quite a bit of strategy between trying to turn enemies with the poison guy or blow up groups of them with the fatman. Game ran smooth, satisfying screenshake.
At first I was wondering if the game was gonna be too easy, but the new enemy types in the later levels had me being more tactical with my zombie placement.
Overall awesome game, was really fun!
Very nice game with plenty levels to zombify
It was easy to get the main game mechanics and work on sometimes puzzling human placement with nothing holding you back.
I wish you could drag & drop zombies you've made though, because sometimes it takes them a while to find a human :)
Great work!
Fun game! I played it all the way through. It was nice thinking levels like a puzzle, where to drop which zombie and when to maximise damage and infect people and then amass the last survivors. Graphics were nice and screams were kinda funny. Good job!
