Very nicely polished! I couldn't get past the last level but I enjoyed it a lot nevertheless. The freeplay ending is a nice touch — I'm guessing that's a repurposed developer tool though!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD55 → Too Many Minions!

Really cool game, I like how you can summon more minions when you take down an enemy tower, it's a cool puzzle game. I think it would be cool to see what something like this might look like in 3d, which might offer even more scenario opportunities for you to take advantage of.
Funny and challenging. Keep it 2D cause artstyle has nice vector (got it? :D) Memes galore!
this is just way too cool. it's extremely juicy, the levels are thoughtful, and surprisingly fun. i didn't think such a simple mechanic would have so many emergent possibilities. the free play mode at the end is a nice touch. congratulations on such an impressive entry!
This was really fantastic - great game and I had a really fun time playing it! I love how you took a relatively simple mechanic and then just polished it. Similarly the visuals are simple, but very clear and nice. My only complaint is the audio clips when you spawn loads of your summons at the same time, which was a bit annoying. Might be worth baking a spawn track or something, since you're always spawning loads of them.
I thought the level progression was really nicely done. That last level was very challenging - took me probably over 20 attempts to get it right, but very satisfying when I did!
Really a great entry, nicely done!
I spent more time in freeplay mode than I did in the actual game :D. Everything about this feels perfect: sound, graphics, animations and gameplay. I didn't realize "summon a horde of bodies" could have a puzzly aspect to it! It's also super polished compared to most of the entries I've seen written in plain C.
I LOVED it, this is a really nice submission, you would have totally wrecked it if you found a way to procedurally generate the puzzle. Very fun mechanic thank you
This is so much fun for such a simple concept! Everything is very well executed and the levels are all unique and interesting. Great job!
Really fun concept. Love the simple graphics, they look really polished. Levels get pretty challenging later on with the enemy units and bombs
This was great! Such a simple interface and core idea, extended with just the right amount and variety of obstacle to keep it interesting.
I NEARLY beat the final challenge, but lost heart, it's hard to repeat that final level too many times.
It was tense to send JUST enough guys to take something down, but hold as much in reserve as possible for the next assault somewhere else on the map. And the chaos was just enough that it keeps things spicy.
Sound effects were nice, especially given how many times the "spawned a minion" had to be played. It came across as a pleasant rumble of productivity. Art was basic but really cohesive and clear, so it fit the game well.
Very well done!
Fun game! It would be great on mobile. The art is nice, the sounds are nice, and the puzzle design matches the increasing difficulty. Good job!
Wow... so polished, and using C and raylib! I used to think that it's impractical to achieve juicy effects using bare minimum game dev libraries instead of a full-blown game engine. Now I see the possibility. Guess I will try this approach next time. Thanks!
Love the 2d apsect of it, good job
Pls, pls pls build upon this concept! I think this as an appstore game would be chefs kiss. I don't have any more feedback, cause I gotta go back summon some more bodies hahaha. 10/10 well done!
