liked the idea, fits the theme well and may be addicting if expanded i got to max of 130 pts and would prefer to see the village HP scale as well

Simple but not easy (at least for me) to win.... very nice graphics!!! about the audio nice having a sound-off button... although it was ok, when the volume of the music takes a bit of my concentration away it is not a plus for me, but that is only my experience and preference. Good job all the way.

Love the idea

Cool idea, I haven't seen this before! Extra points for sound effects 😁

5 star for the sounds, love them!

It's a simple game, but surprisingly fun! It took me a few tries to really get the hang of it (an indicator for the village health would be a welcome addition), but I managed to get pretty far in the end, until the screen filled up with fish and I couldn't move anymore. Can't tell whether it's a bug or intentional for winning the game, but great job either way!

Interesting game. Nice art style. Good work!

Turn-based puzzle games like this are interesting game! The first play was me trying to figure out how the game works and it is easy to understand! Maybe you should add stuff that your boat will could sink when attacking pirate ships and some will respawn after X moves. Overall it is a great game design!

mikropiru 2023-10-08 10:27

@axlplosion, it's weird if you couldn't move there. You should be able to advance to those fish squares without a problem. But I can't tell if there's some issue there when the grid fills up with stuff — I don't think we got that far when testing the game ourselves. :-D

@dave-septian, actually your boats _should_ sink when attacking a pirate ship the second time (with that same ship). If a pirate rams to a ship, it's immediately gone, but taking initiative there pays off a bit.

The concept is simple and actually super fun to play! The theme is matching well, it was a super good experience. Good job for this entry!

Nice little game, I liked the idea and how simple it is. The tutorial is brief yet clear enough to understand how to play without boring you with a wall of text.

There was a lot more 'strategy' involved than I first thought, it was quite fun to think about how to prevent the pirates while conserving as many fishing boats as possible. Some indicators on village HP etc. would have been nice, but really enjoyed playing this nonetheless.

I was able to get 12 fish and 50 points. I wasn't able to figure out how to defend the village, or why exactly it was dying. The ocean background gave the game some juice, as did the voiceover. I liked the little puzzle concept. I feel like with a bit more clarity, could be a nice chill game to play on web or mobile. Cheers!

Great entry, nice visuals and funny sounds x)

Like the other comments, I had a hard time figuring out how to win, more feedback (fish taken, village damaged, pirate ramed) would have help. Also, I see a "hunger" label but no value?

But well done :)

I like the look of this a lot, and maybe this could even be adapted to a fun tabletop solitaire game! Just need a 6x6 board, a bunch of tiles and a six sided die...

Fun game! Would be nice to know the village's remaining health.

Really nice idea for the game! I really liked the visuals/presentation, music and gameplay. It felt a little unbalanced but was still very enjoyable. Good work!
