Finished the game. Enjoyed it. Interesting idea.
The mechanic it's a little hard , i really don't understand how it's works lol. But i really like the dialog's between them, and the sound!
A unique concept and very nice interpretation of the theme! Never played anything like it. I liked the graphics of the astronauts a lot, and the slight music was a very good choice.
The gameplay tends to be slow. If you don't start moving in the right direction, it takes a lot of time to course correct, as Barry and Larry seem to have very similar mass and as such don't produce much inertia when pushing-pulling  This slowness is meditative to me, so I don't mind. But you could consider filling such time with more fun banter between our heroes or some random stuff to look at (maybe alien ships flying around or some such).
I was a bit surprised to discover that the asteroids do not really hurt me/damage the line. Positively surprised, min you, as that would be kind of a pain to avoid them
I see it's your first LD, so let me be the first to say: welcome to the community! I hope you had lots of fun making the game, and I hope you'll have even more playing and rating! One tip: you can get more people to play your game if you can make a web version that can be played in a browser. This way, you'll be OS-independent, as well as alleviate any concerns some people have about downloading. You can host a web version, e.g., on itch.io (or even here directly on LD page, but it works worse here).
Again, congrats on the game!
Interesting idea!
It took me a lot of time to understand that when pushing/pulling one of the guys stays mostly in place, instead of both guys moving by the same amount. Mostly because it was hard to judge movement relative to the star background. Maybe if you put some static object at the start point (like a ship wreck) it can be easier to orient yourself.
This was a pretty neat concept! Great idea including the video on the page - gave me exactly the nudge I needed to figure out how to get the momentum needed to beat the game.
I love the game mechanics. Keep up the good work.
A unique concept with a great implementation. Elegantly designed, the gameplay was very "clean" since the sole idea of pushing and pulling with your only guidance the distance from the object was enough to make an interesting game. I appreciated that you had a the checklist with the mission, usually you have no idea what you have to do in jam games, but the objectives in this one were nicely presented. The dialogues and the speaking sound effects were also hilarious, while the graphics got the job done and the whole atmosphere was fitting of a space game.
This was pretty great, a complete LD submission, bug-free without anything missing. One of the better ones I have tested for this jam so far!
Man, I think this was one of the most creative ideas from ludum dare 54. When my team thought about the limited space theme we thought about outer space, but you guys took it to another level. You are limited by space but also by your friend's space. The game itself is very good, I found its progress a little slow but that's not necessarily a problem. Maybe it would also be nice to add more details to the space, making your walk to your goals more satisfying. Congratulations for the game.
I found this rather challenging. I also liked the use of the theme. You're limited in space as well as having to work within the limits of the characters' space. The chatter between the astronauts was a nice addition to bring levity to their dire situation. The only improvement I can think to make is having arrows next to the item names pointing to them. Lastly, I thought "space computer" was funny.
Nice. I liked the little bits of dialogue, and I thought the core tethered mechanic works well. Well done :)
although the coupling/decoupling looks a bit weird, the game idea is interesting
Pretty interesting core gameplay mechanic! Took me some time to get used to and it is a bit tedious, but I still enjoyed this quite unusual approach to movement as well as the dialogue and the whole spacey atmosphere of the game. Maybe if you managed to make the movement a bit more fluent or snappy, this could be something to explore further. Might be well suited as a coop game even? (without having to switch between the characters)
Cool concept. Space and limited space, you managed to connect the unconnected.
That's a very smart game! The dialogs between both characters with voices do a great job for immersion, despite having only a few sprites. At the begining it was hard for me to know whether my characters were moving or not ^^ Maybe because of the background's interpolation which does not hint on that. Watching a bit of the video and reaching the spaceship helped me a lot, and after that, no problem. Great job!
The game is interesting, it was quite nice to play it, keep working on it and everything will be cool
Newton's third law raises an eyebrow or two. :D But really cool idea, one of the most innovative game mechanics I've seen so far, well done!
The sound and the voices really made me feel in space. It is really hard to tell on which direction we are going and how to go right. Your video helped me a lot. You made a great game, good job.
Absolutely loved the dialogue, and how you used it to make the tutorial aswell! Being able to hit escape to see the controls again was really helpful. Took me a while to figure out how to push, swap, and pull. But once I got the hang of it, the game was fun!
@very-dark-lord We actually discussed this while getting the mechanics figured out, we decided to ignore some of the laws of physics to make the game more fun - if we fully respected the laws of physics our characters would never be able to move ;)
