Another rhythm game! I love rhythm games and this one's tying of speed to the beat was very unique and handled very well so as to not make dodging obstacles harder, which I had initially expected it would do. Getting going very fast was quite satisfying. The only downside is it made the traveling section *very* short, and the music would benefit from a bit of variety, but it was fun!

Nice rhythm game! My max combo was 10 in the jumping stage, but I had a lot of trouble with the "guitar-hero-like" part, with getting it to register my clicks. Maybe I was just way off!

Very cool for a game developed solo. Nice relaxing gameplay with a nice beat

Very good game with nice audio i did find the timing for dodging the projectiles very harsh

First of all, great job creating this game solo! I understand the time constraint is a challenge, but I do have a few comments I'd like to make. - The tempo slider didn't work for me. I had no sound on the options menu and when I tried syncing the music tempo with the visual input (the pulsing square), it got very out of sync. - Probably as a result of the issue above, the visuals and the sound got out of sync after a while. I was only able to get a x40 boost when I ignored the music and only looked at the visual feedback. - The idea of making your character go faster as you get the rhythmic input right is really good, but going faster makes the fireballs come at you at a wrong tempo (since their speed is not adjusted accordingly), so dodging them as you maintain the boost becomes really difficult. - The music has a nice beat and vibe, but becomes a little monotonous after a while. As a rhythm game, the music is really important!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not commenting because I hated the game. Quite the opposite, I'm only talking this much because I really liked it! And again, great job doing all of this in 72h by yourself!

Really awesome to see that you've done the full solo-dev treatment for the game, coding, art, SFX, music all put together from a single mind - really inspiring!

Making music games is always full of challenges. I noticed that you added a delay correction feature at the beginning of the game, which is really thoughtful. Dodging fireballs always makes me lose my sense of rhythm and thus lose my combo (maybe if I were a professional drummer, I could handle two different rhythms). The music is full of rhythm, and I really like this game!

I really liked the rhythm game at the end of every delivery. Even though I skipped the instructions accidentally everything felt intuitive and was able to play and have a good time. The audio worked really well and it felt like I could stay on rhythm during each stage.

Took me a while to figure out what the heck was going on. Music doesn't seem to play on the adjusting screen. The first screen doesn't have the controls on it and neither does your Ludum Dare page, so I didn't know I was supposed to be jumping for quite a few rounds before I re-read your page and saw I should be able to dodge somehow. Then found the controls on the esc page in the game. After that it was a lot more fun.

I really dig Rythm Games - well put together. Somehow, the initial calibration for me didn't work as I didn't have any music playing. And Jumping never felt like it would doge the obstacles but barely eclipse them.

But overall i think it was a good entry especially since you made everything yourself, kudos!

Wasn't really sure what was going on at first, but I found that hitting space on the beat seemed to raise my score, and I think Up is dodge?... It doesn't seem like dodge was doing anything though. I just hit space the entire game on the beat and my character seemed to keep getting faster and faster which was fun. For the guitar hero section, I'd like it if it worked with keyboard keys instead of clicking. The clicking felt a bit off.

That was pretty fun, felt satisfying speeding up when keeping the rhythm properly. Sidenote, I liked how the boxes were added in the background at the delivery section, looked neat.

Bumpin little tune, and it was satisfying to get up to near the top speed! I was pretty terrible at the package section though, wow!

I had an issue at the start, with no sound. I restarted several times, and then randomly I hit ESC and the music started. Is that right, you have to hit ESC on the title screen to being the music? That threw me.

But once I got over that it was very smooth sailing.

Nice entry, and really well-rounded with nice pixel art, and music. Great job!

I really like how the gameplay had two distinct phases. It made the game feel really complete! Also, you had physical keybinds, which I am very grateful for as a user of the Dvorak layout.

It felt like the jumping could have been higher, as I could barely make it over the fireball, though.

But the art was great, the music was fun, and the gameplay was engaging. Overall, great job!
