That was fun. Needed a little time to get the hang of the controls. I was able to shoo off the storks and kill a few enemies.

nice job! a little feedback of my experience with your game, I personally found a little confusing to use SHIFT as the key for the main mechanic, I think this is because normally that key is used to run in most games but here it does the opposite, the character stops. But anyways what key can you use? there aren't much options, maybe the S key with the middle finger or use SPACE for this mechanic and SHIFT for jump. I couldn't clear level 3, several developers recommend to make the colliders not exactly the same size as the killer object, in this case the spikes, but a little smaller, to avoid the feeling that you died in unfair circumstances. Overall very nice game, you have several levels, a level selector, the lore of the game 5/5 :D

@gamedevtraum thanks for the long feedback - i totally agree on the controls, I had a problem with them at first, was considering changing shift to using up and down arrow but then I made level 6 (then 3) and realised that that I actually find the arrows keys and shift better as I don't have to think about facing left and right.

Regarding the colliders- good shout, and tbh I think there are **a lot** of collider things to fix in this, (it's a jam game) so i'm happy you only found spikes to be the problem :P

Huge fan of using the snout as a paddle. Also love Chompus as a character. I want him on a T-Shirt

crimoudin 2023-05-03 04:04

I just wish the snout was controlled by mouse position as you jumped. Having to stop all the time and the way the baby bounced just made the game feel way to slow for me. But I had fun with it overall. Defending from the storks was challenging and fun. and having to manage bouncing the baby and running around a big path to make it back in time was fun.

good art and fun to play. waiting for baby to fall down was a bit tedious but had fun overall. LEVEL4 was impossible for me. Please share anyone if they succeeded lvl 4.

Great play with the theme. Yoshi's Island-esque but not as annoying, although I do lament storks now.

I'm getting big Yoshi's Island vibes from this. I'm glad you improved on that game's design by not having a really stressful baby crying alarm sound! It's also really, really hard. Dang those storks!

Very nice game, but dang, this is difficult. So many things to balance, keep baby alive, keep yourself alive, defeat monsters and storks all at once is a bit too much. At first, I thought the storks were supposed to get the baby and I handdelivered it to one lol :D who would have thought that crocodiles are better at delivering babies than storks ;)

Getting some Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island vibes from this. Though thankfully the baby doesn't cry near as much and the storks are a bit slower to swoop in.
