I liked the premise and was hoping it would become an automated upgrade tycoon but the game ends when you buy the automation....I was kinda dissapointed
Micromanaged a bit! Liked this maze solving experience
Please add the timer so I can speedrun it. Good attempt to mix maze solving, clicker, and micromanagement.
Got fired tho.
@st00nsa thanks! first day patch is in progress XD
These game jams! A bit frustrating, when I'm able to walk through some of the trees but not others, and it's not clear which ones I can and can't walk through.
@dissonance-generator thank you for your feedback! interesting, I know only one place on map where it is possible to go through tree. If you can tell where else it would be very helpful)
Got fired, but not without a fight! The main issue for me was the prompt to "find a shop", when I saw that I flew to the red doors, but I did not know which one, so there was a lot of trial and error, and not in a fun way. Overall I think the communication is the biggest issue - I also had problem with locating the green arrow, and looking down constantly to know what I'm suppose to be doing now. Saying that, I dig the concept of building while delivering and that whole management meets arcade vibe - very cool concept, congratz!
The controls feel pretty smooth and responsive, but I think it needs a bit more work in the information conveyance. When I first started, I was told to "find a shop", having immediately forgot what a shop looked like and with no way to immediately tell what is and isn't a shop. I stumbled on one by accident and didn't even realize it until I happened to pass by a green triangle. And every time in the future, it would take me a second just to find where the dropoff location would be because the screen is so dense. Plus, when I restarted the game for a second attempt, the triangle was hidden behind the buildings! Having just a bit more contrast to the objectives (shops light up when you need to find one, dropoff triangle rotates and throbs a little bit) I think the general readability of the screen would be much improved.
@yeris @niterich thank you so much for your comments! I'm pretty agree that conveyance has space for improvement, we are thinking about making another game based on this map and upgrades of this kind and we will try to work on readability and UX in general more. Thank you again!
cute art, enjoyed it!
I liked the game once I got the hang of what was going on, it ended up being pretty hypnotic running the little robo dude around. I like the art of him in the corner too. Maybe a little visual tutorial about different tile types would be cool.
Decent game. I like the available upgrades. Although I think the game got a bit harder after a few speed upgrades since it made it harder to turn on time. These game jams though! good job.
Love the little references to the jam life, especially the hearts. I found the drone a little hard to control - I seemed to sometimes be able to hold arrows down to quickly duck down alleys, and sometimes it wouldn't work. I also think the elements were a little too small for my taste. That said, it looks really nice, it played well, and I liked the upgrade system - the UI especially looked great!
@michael-harris thank you! yeah, when speed increases it could get a bit trickier, but you can achieve better result if you manage to control drone. @lee-martin-77 thank you for your feedback! I agree on element's size, we planned initially to load build to ld directly and tried to place everything on a smaller scale, wasn't actually necessary though.
I am glad you guys used the grid based movement, I don't see that very often. I think I was drawn to playing this because it reminds me of Bomberman. I played this multiple times because I wanted to beat it. It's definitely a little unbalanced, to beat the game I only did 1 upgrade to save money. And I would've liked some music and sounds for this robotic scene. Best thing this game did was some humor, I thought the dialog had some funniness to it. And now I feel like I know what it's like to work at an Amazon warehouse, so thanks lol.
Interesting idea of the game, I like it! But background music or sounds are sorely lacking
Nice simple gameplay, but it really works for the theme. I definitely felt the time pressure. It's surprising how just racing point-to-point in a maze can be pretty fun.
Bug: I got stuck at first in fullscreen, because the map extended off of the left edge of the monitor and I couldn't find the triangle.
Also, audio would have added a lot.
Otherwise, nice work. =)
@starkin @frosty thank you for your feedback! yeah, totally agree on audio, it would add a lot to an overall game feel. Sorry about the map off-screen extension, thought we fixed that(
Really neat idea! Gameplay fits the theme nicely, but I wasn't able to beat it unfortunately. I really liked the maze feel, the art was cute, and the upgrades were a nice addition, though it became a bit difficult to navigate the maze once the speed was maxed out. I think another minute or so on the timer would have helped me a ton. Well done!
Solid game! I liked the navigation through the maze and the upgrades. It felt a bit unfair at times when the triangle was very far away and at max speed upgrades, it was hard to get around corners. Would've loved to be able to have multiple deliveries active at the same time (maybe adding one per city upgrade). That way, it could've been more interesting to find the best possible path to go. On my second run, the triangles were always behind the gray sprites. This made them much harder to find, but added an interesting hidden object angle to the game that could be worth exploring further. Some audio would've greatly improved the experience.
pretty fun simple game, more upgrades would've made the path to automation more interesting maybe
@waffleworksgames thank you, yeah, max speed is definitely is tricky to manage. Ha-ha, well, I personally managed to beat it with fifth try I think) not counting testing it before that ofc. @erkberg thank you a lot! Actually yeah, automation upgrade was unlocking new drones at first, but we didn't manage to implement their auto movement before deadline so we switched controls to manual and reduced drone's count to 1. But yeah, you can even notice the square starting point at the centre of the map, it was supposed for 4 drones. Thank you again for your feedback! @shp thank you, yeah, there is a space for that definitely.
