The game looks appealing to me. I like the mood you install, with dialog and music (it need some SFX). I try to play, but I think it misses information. I found bonneveau, but never found steindorf, nor the pilgrims stucked. I think I go on every point on the map, and even when entering a village (except bonneveau) I never knew where I was.

Interesting concept, nice mood and music, but either managing resources is too difficult or I'm bad at it (probably the later). I couldn't go too far, but it was fun while it lasted.

A nice game. I like the presentation. The routes you could go seemed very limited though, and resources were a too limited for any reasonable exploration. The placeable map markers didn't seem to be useful for anything.
The theming of this game is probably its strongest point. The pixel art combined with the mood music and the harsh penalties of traversing the world all add together to give me a feeling which reminds me of the Oregon trail way back in the day. Overall gameplay loop held my attention long enough to get to the castle once with a ruined reputation but after that it kind of felt like a lot of save scumming till I picked the correct dialogue options. The fact that you don't get any information about the places you visit until you visit the node made the game feel like a lot of guesswork.
That being said wow you've packed a lot of nodes and branching dialogue into this jam :speech_balloon: :exclamation: Like seriously branching dialogue for almost every node, with variations on what happens when you say different things, or have different dialogue if you've visited another node. Very well fleshed out game for a jam game. Excellent job!
Agree that the learning curve is pretty rough; my first two games I died pretty badly. I can imagine players bouncing off of this, which is a shame, because I really got into the game. I really like the mechanic of describing a quest but leaving it to the player to remember; I can figure out which town is Twin Pines Town and which is Lake Town or Mining Town just by looking at the map. In its current state, it seems like the best strategy is to replay it a lot, and probably the story suffers when I know what all of the outcomes are. But the mood is great, the pixel graphics do a lot without needing to be high-fidelity.
I bounced off of this a little, I found I couldn't quite tell when I was clicking things or stamping things. It's also a little unclear what is going to happen when I interact. That said... I love the style of it, how it looks, and the feeling it has. It feels like a fantastic starting point that just needs a little bit of polish to make it more approachable.
These kinds of games are always fun! This one has a bit of a resource starvation problem in the beginning, so I haven't been able to get very far at all. The dialogue is well mapped, there's lots of options, but there are also quite a few errors that distract the player from it. The presentation is phenomenal, I love the art and the music is picked well. I think the beginning needs to be more forgiving!
Super fun, absolutely great theming and vibe. I absolutely loved the mechanic of needing to pay close attention to location dialogues in order to figure out where to go next, and marking it on the map with the useful map markers. I don't want to spoil this moment for anyone playing, but the part where you have to go to an unmarked location, and discovering that you could actually move there? It was absolute magic for me.

I really like the concept. For me, a game like this would be too much. But you did amazing with this one. It could only be improved with more interaction feedback. I was a little bit lost in those regards.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this game! I also enjoyed the story elements. I think it was kind of punishing; it felt like the only way was to find the one right path through trial and error. Overall, though, nice work!
This is really cool - the music kinda makes it haha. It's such a mysterious vibe. Loved all the dialogue choices that you managed to get in. I think if it was a little more forgiving this could encourage exploration of the map a little more!

I think like most of the other folk commenting here, I enjoyed the atmosphere and dialogue, but the resource management was tough and so I wasn't able to get far or really work out how to maintain resources without dying. It was a shame because I wanted to explore more!

The presentation of this is great and I really like the concept. But I also think some parts could be explained better. For example the first moments I had no idea how to play at all and after making it to the kings castle, I haven't figured out how or why to use the stemps on the left side. And I don't think I managed to complete some of those side missions, since I had no idea where some of those places where supposed to be. But again, there is potential and with some more polish it could be great!

Cool simple concept, I very much enjoyed the journey with tones of quests and unique dialogues.I was invested enought to finish the game couple of times. I have to admit I didnt find any use for the stamps, and was confused by quests at first like find people near the lake but there is no lake on the map etc. Maybe the stamps should appear on the map after talking with people that have information about particular quest. Ok back to telling people people about the black death and tanking my reputation!
Very nice game, really enjoyed the presentation and the music you chose. Have to agree to some of the other comments, that the markers are kinda useless, cause you can remember the spots without marking them, cause the game is small enough. I tried the ld version until I found the perfect route (maybe 10 rounds of checking the order) and then finished with a reputation of 30. Really nice, well done.
PS: Found a bug at the inn, where you can't get the letter, if you got it in a previous run and restarted through the dialog, maybe you forget to reset a variable? ;)
