The game is good, simple mechanics and a very nice tutorial. It can be confusing at times when you don't know where to go next, but overall I can enjoy playing it. The bird swooping animation + sound effect is also very nice :)

Really good, the mecanis works well, the balancing of the speeds is really good. It miss just a little bit of level design or informations for were to found harvest and hiding spot. Really great work
Nice game. The graphics are nice even with the main character missing a body. I especially like the main character getting skewered on the pitchfork.

The game is not bad at all! It is a simple game but it has very good elements like the music that is adaptive when you die. I also see the collisions very well done, being only the trident that kills you. I think that some gameplay aspects need to be polished and that it be incremental with the appearance of new challenges. Still, I would love to see more of your participation in the next editions! Great game!
really neat game! the gameplay loop was well made but i think faster pacing would have made the game better.. maybe put the crops closer to each other and make tha bird appear more often.. overall solid entry!

The idea is fun, and I did have fun trying it. But I do not have very much time enough to harvest the plants, and there is not very many plants to harvest. Overall is this an okay little jam game.

You have a good idea for the gameplay. However, I would add more plants and haystacks. I also liked the art style. The music was too repetitive.
Nice little game. Graphics look good. It could use a little more of a 'level design' like putting some buildings or hedges.

Good tutorial. Still I was a bit lost at the beginning (where to go). In my opinion: Art is ok, sound is good, music is good enough for a short game. The gameplay is not as exciting as I first imagined. Cannot quite say why. Maybe it's a bit too static, as the world does not really interact with the player.
Simple but fun. Took me a few rounds to find where the plants were so a lil indicator or something could be helpful. image_2023-01-26_20-29-51.png (Also got myself killed cause i got too careless after a bit xD)
That was surprisingly fun for how simple it was ()! I don't have a whole ton to say about this one, but I wish it were a little easier to find the interactable objects -- Maybe a radar for your immediate vicinity, an arrow pointing at the closest plant, something like that! I liked the intermittent threat of the bird, it made gameplay feel a lot less stale after a while; I wish there were just a *little* more to it, I had fun with what there was, but it wasn't quite substantial enough for me to get hooked with it.
Overall nice, *very fun and easy to pick up* entry! Good job, be proud of yourself for making a video game!

I really liked the sounds and graphics! Simple but effective! It took me a long while to find some plants to nab and when the bird swooped down there were no hay stacks for me to hide in  All and all the mechanics worked really well but the level design could use some love
I played a handful of times and my high score was 1. Hmm. I wonder what that says about me? I might need a turned based mode for this lolz.

Hey guys Thanks for playing my game and giving me feedback I really enjoyed this jam and playing all your games. I had a fair bit of a challenge getting started and figuring out how to use the theme ended up just making random art then jumping in without much of a plan.
To clear up one of the biggest things that make the game less playable you need to move a certain distance away from where you start till plants start spawning which they do off screen. Things then just spawn randomly and radially around you off screen hay piles less then the plants (level design is one of my weakest points and I also rushed this part).
I still felt some things about this were quite cool in the end and I feel like it would be fun to work further on it.
One last thing here is a game that I thought was amazing and only needs a few more ratings https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/harvest-hewn#/comment-929635 this one could use more ratings as well and was quite fun https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/harvest-6
Cool little game, i don't get the cat at the beginning but it was fun. The little harcest animation is pretty cool
@pixelstuff yeah the cat doesn't do or mean anything I was planning on having it be some form of competition like they could steal the plants you harvest which you need to somehow deal with. I part way decided to work on something else as I thought it would take to much time for me to figure that out and just left it in at the start.
