At first, this game seemed nice and atmospheric to me, but it cannot be completed and it kills the process. too hardcore

love the idea, very nice theme interpretation and atmosphere! I don't know what am I doing wrong but [space] doesn't work for me so I got stuck after literally 5 secs. hope to check this entry again in a more polished form.
Unless there's a bug, there is no way to lose.
You can always continue until you have found everything :)
(played the jam version)
This is so touching and peaceful ! Really like the mood, it starts very small and at the end I know every place of this ground lot. It takes me a little time to master the control to grow roots, but it's not problematic as the plant need to understand its body too.
Love the evolving dialogue with rocks
Maybe it lacks a looping music, most of the time I was playing in silence, and SFX can be cool too.
But well done ! Thank you for this game :seedling:
(what about the rain ? I first bookmarked your game during the jam when you posted a rain GIF, but it doesn't seems to have made it at the end ? Did i missed it ?)
Well, i did liked the peacefull mood and the graphic of the plant, but I really didn't get what to do...
When I saw the seed saying "I don't understand" for the first time, a sentence jumped out of my mind and made me laugh, for the beginning of this game reminds me of two famous puzzle games.
I enjoyed almost everything in this game. The visuals, mood, and humor in every dialog. The only problem is that the root grows too slowly, it may turn off some players. When I finished all the exploration in mud and saw the ending, I realized that the sentence I just thought of may well fit this game:

"You don't Understand, but you Witness."

A chill game, after all the stressful, harvestin and evading evil crops kinda games, it felt good. Good job! If you would like to shred some zombies with your tractor in slowmo, be sure to check out my entry, I would love to hear your feedbacks!
@pikario thanks for playing and the kind feedback!
Shiny Elster and Zeriphon did a great job on creating the assets. Unfortunately I was running out of time for putting everything together. That's why not everything made it into the game.
I wanted to complete it, that's why I created the updated version on itch.io. But I did not yet take the time to do so.
I think this was definitely a promising concept and fits the theme very well. However I got stuck searching around for ages until I finally ran into something. I thought I was playing the game wrong but I think I just got unlucky. It was very hard to see stuff as the locations you are supposed to go don't stand out very well. This along with the speed of the movement made it a little frustrating to play. I think the atmosphere was great though and with only some small changes this can be an amazing cute little seed game!
Interesting concept, nice work. I did like the ambient sound, although it did cut out after a few minutes.
Cool game! I liked the atmosphere of the game, the graphics are nice and the ambient sound is good, maybe it would be good to increase the speed at which the roots grow, it gets a little tedious waiting for them to grow. Overall, good job!
Guess who pressed W for two minutes checking if the light gets any closer  The story and mood the game conveys is really great. I managed to find the ending but I have to say the slow speed at which the root grow is really painful especially for this kind of find a needle in a haystack mechanic. (But I was quite unlucky, found the rain worm last, after the letter/puppet/duck which I could not collect when I found them)
cool ambience and lovely graphics, but its rather slow and the controls feel off at times.
This game has a lot of potential. Love how it looks and how it feels. The environmental sound is nice. But the slowness of it all and the missing directions drag it down a bit. Growing roots takes ages and waiting for messages to disappear also gets old after a while. Somehow I uncovered nearly all the terrain but still could not find what I was missing. Than I ran into a worm and the game froze.
I love the ambience very calming. Perfect for relaxing after my exams haha. A bit faster root growth would have been nice or some hints on where the next targets are.
Visuals and audio are great
Very nice, although a bit slow. Maybe allowing to move a bit while showing text would make it a little more dynamic. At the beginning I was trying to "grow" up, not in the ground and I had to wait even though nothing happened. Anyway, the game is a relaxing experience, the background noises and monologue make it meditative. Good job!
Pretty relaxing and atmospheric although as the comment above pointed out - quite slow. I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing at first because there was little feedback aside from avoiding rocks, and the second phase where the roots grow out further was not very clear in terms of controls. I think the game would benefit from slightly faster root growth or quicker text scrolls because it felt very tedious whenever I stumbled upon something and the text showed up. Other than those quirks, the game definitely conveyed a relaxing mood!
I think the room was WAY too big for the pace the roots moved- I also didn't realise in the initial phase I was supposed to be moving up out of the ground. The audio & mood were really lovely and I wanted to play more for the narrative because I love the idea- but after ages of basically just frustration I had to stop myself after finding all of the green food stuff (the fact that that and the water is all so close to the seed, makes me wonder really why the room was so big)
