Super polished and a great take on the theme! Never thought about making timers visible for the user, lovely idea!

jonah-srg 2022-10-03 16:55

Snappy controls and a good hook. Surveying each level is a bit of a puzzle, which is followed up with some tight timing and execution. Jumping and movement controls are responsive and generous. I like it!

the gameplay is really original, the artstyle is simple but so polished. The audio is really good too

Really fun, played through the end. Nice color palette & effects, it never got old. The controls were pretty basic, would've been nice to feel a little lighter to make jumping more fun. The timing concept was pretty novel and you instantly understood it. There was some strange behavior in the later levels though, where the block was disabled at the time instead of enabled. Those blocks looked the same as the regular blocks, so it was hard to tell what was going on. It was also confusing to see ">3" get triggered at 3.99 - you would think it would get triggered at 2.99.

Really enjoyed it! great level design and i liked the way new mechanics got introduced over time and explored. Graphics simple but they work well and theyre all of a piece. I liked the screen shake on death. theme link is neat but a bit unimaginative. super slick work guys!

Great idea and great realisation! Love the sound effects as well!

heremeus 2022-10-03 23:27

A nice idea and a well polished game! I liked the graphics and sound effects!

As others mentioned before, I would argue that 3.99 is >3 and should not kill me :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

A great balance between fun and challenging!

zyrconium 2022-10-04 00:23

Everthing fits together here really well. And some of the puzzles and timing are really tightly designed. I would agree that the blocks which disappear at a time rather than appearing then was a little confusing at first, and the level with the appearing 8 platform and the disappearing 7 one was a little unforgiving.

super impressed by the polish on this one! the addition of keys and the ">" blocks really added depth. It was however a little hard to gauge when block would fill in or fade out, even with the timer over the characters head.

well done!

really nice game! too hard to be annoying but not too hard to seem impossible. Smooth controls and simple graphics. Well done!

theorioli 2022-10-04 15:34

One of my favorites, I really enjoy how you made the thematic restriction an interesting part of the core gameplay!

theekinnox 2022-10-04 16:45

Nice take on the theme! The levels feel precisely balanced and the way new mechanics are introduced blends perfectly with the gameplay. I would definitely love to play it if you add more levels outside of the jam!

retrowillgames 2022-10-05 01:09

Super well done. It is inspiring how great you made the minimalistic art feel, such a great style. Perfect level of difficulty too :)

bxyzzz 2022-10-05 07:30

Quite fun, very well balanced! SFX and animations slid right in together :)

oolimry 2022-10-05 09:15

It's a nice take on the theme! I think the gameplay is fun trying not to hop too early or too late, and planning the route is itself a fun puzzle. The minimalist art really goes well with the theme too

I did feel that some levels are very precise (i.e. you need very good movement if not you'll die to a time barrier), and sometimes I couldn't understand the timings of some blocks (maybe I didn't understand what the label meant?). But these are minor and weren't particularly frustrating

Loved the puzzles, well done! would love to play a full game of this!

andrew-hoyer 2022-10-05 22:56

Giving this game really high marks. This is the best game I've played to date in this event, especially with such great use of the theme. Well done.

You got a really good idea with the theme. It works pretty wells. It just feels too short, I would have love to have more. Good job !

aurel300 2022-10-06 15:40

Very cute, I liked the minimalist vibe. The "conditions" on the platforms were clever. The platforming was nice (although there were some tight jumps in there), maybe the worst thing was to get stuck inside a platform even though it was just the legs that were stuck: unsatisfying!

brusi 2022-10-06 19:34

Great entry! It's not only a 10 sec time limit, but also a puzzle strictly connected to that time counter, in the greater theme of time :) Graphics were simple but adorable, sound was crunchy, puzzles were challenging but not too hard. The "platform that does X within this time frame" UI was very clear! Great work!

vkaike2 2022-10-08 12:51

Great game and great Idea

jhandsy 2022-10-08 18:51

Really nice game! Perfect scope for LD. The pacing at which you introduced mechanics was perfect. This might be a problem with me or how I was thinking about it, but my only note is that sometimes I would try and fail a level a bunch, then take a break and come back to it and just do it in one shot without having any idea HOW I managed to do it that time. I think level 12 was the biggest culprit for me. The one with 2 keys, a 7 and an 8.

Anyway, I loved it!

sergilazaro 2022-10-12 09:28

Great short game, polished and finished enough to be good in and of itself outside of a jam, those are great :)

The timed platforms can be a bit confusing, but since the levels are very short and respawn is quick (my favorite kind of platformer games), you figure it out on your own just fine. In fact, having had a tutorial with text and stuff would have been worse even. So great choices on all of that! :)

Controls a bit stiff, but other than that it's a blast. Also loved the controls tutorial.
