Cool puzzle game, good job for your first jam

matoux42 2022-10-03 16:10

Awesome concept, I think it'd make a great mobile game. I just didn't like the way you added the "every ten seconds" to your game, because it doesn't make the game more interesting in my opinion.

Anyway, great compo game !

lukas0842 2022-10-04 17:57

Nice simple puzzle game, good job

Very cool, very rubix cube type puzzle. I manage to complete several patterns. Nice job

martin183 2022-10-04 18:02

Cool game, some music would be nice for the mood!

merdeboi 2022-10-04 18:06

Great mood, visuals, audio feedback. Good puzzles, initially I thought the white cubes were working against me, but they help you :)

helluin 2022-10-04 18:18

turns out lights out becomes a lot more confusing just by flipping some tiles every 10 seconds. very nice take on the theme with fitting visuals and sound design. sadly there was no music to match these despite the menu suggesting there would be

retrowillgames 2022-10-04 18:25

@helluin Sorry for the misleading menu option! Meant to add music but couldn't make anything I liked in time. Right now the music setting toggles a background ambience sound (Edit: Now seeing that the ambience doesn't play in the web build, oops). Thanks for playing. I hadn't heard of Lights Out, I suspected a similar game probably already existed, but I couldn't think of a way to google the mechanic lol.

You mentioned focusing on game juice and it really shows! Great audio and visuals accompanied by compelling puzzles. You knocked it out of the park with this one and I'm glad you were able to submit despite an initial lack of motivation. I would love to see anything else you've made and look forward to your future Ludum Dares.

Congrats on your first LD entry (and first solo as well). Solid little puzzle game, and the timer both helps and hinders the player which is a nice twist.

I really liked the game. It's simple, but looks great, sounds great, and feels great to play. Also it's just really polished, especially for a game jam project. The only nitpick I have is that the theme is just kinda thrown on top of an unrlated game. Still, well done!

zakroutil 2022-10-05 12:34

Nice and simple game, well polished and fun to play!

digitaldude555 2022-10-05 20:33

Indeed it is quite juice, though the sound effect reminds me of water for some reason, took me a bit to figure out but I solved a few puzzles, very nice. Theme fits well with the game.

actuallythemoon 2022-10-06 17:45

Really neat puzzle game. Took me a while to figure out that the white outline predicted the next cells to shift, would have been nice if the outline was a bit clearer to see. Aside from that good stuff!

sdelay 2022-10-07 13:24

You rock, it is a clean nice game! You rocked on : * Menu, settings * Sound design and audio feedback * Good handling of the theme

I would say you lacked of ambition, but the jam is about finishing a game, and you did it! oh, I just read your description, I understand your lack of motivation at some point, and you did very good considering this.

My last question: Why "ergo" ?

lorwon 2022-10-07 14:08

Nice entry for a first jam !

Even if i do not like puzzle game, I enjoyed playing your game

Well done

keenan-woodall 2022-10-07 15:53

Great idea for a puzzle game. My puny brain couldn't get past the level with the horizontal line though haha.

harmadillo 2022-10-07 19:06

Nice game. The puzzles were simple(in design, not to solve) but very nicely done. The menu art and mood was great.

truevacuum 2022-10-08 03:55

The special effects are cool, but the combination with 10 seconds is not very good, but still very happy~

mavvy 2022-10-09 02:02

It's really satisfying to click on the squares, you really nailed the polish and sound design. This is a solid first run at LD!
