Nice game!
Very funny game, the clippy sequence is very good
Really funny concept, it was really difficult but fun. I think clippy will be haunting my dreams for now haha
OMG what have you done? I love the discrepancies between the written and spoken text :joy:
I found the jump button a little bit inconsistent (didn't seem to fire very well when I was moving right) but the level design was really well done. It was challenging but compelling to get through the whole level even before being chased by clippy!
Hahahah this was funny! Clippy sometimes comes back in my dreams to haunt me  First I though: what is the relation to the theme, but then you introduced clippy and I was like... Oooh no they did not haha
Had fun playing your game, although I suck at platformers so I did not see everything. Maybe a little easter egg would have been nice in this game, as you have countless buttons at the top that could change colors etc. Or did you already do that and did I not see?
Thanks @wouter52 ! Yes, afraid my game is pretty difficult if you're not big on platformers. There are two Easter Eggs in fact! Although I do wish I'd put some in the menu UI at the top indeed, that's a good idea.
Fun idea. You can still play the level after you get caught. The movement felt nice and smooth, though the wall jump was a bit awkward.
Clippy is super disturbing.
The wall jumping felt a bit too punishing to me, maybe adding some slower sliding on the walls would make it feel better.
Overall a good game. I felt the jumping was a bit awkward. Didn't understand how the game fit the theme.
The aesthetic of this is really cool, funny, and stylish. My only complaint in that area is that the Microsoft Word theming may be underutilized. Wouldn't it be funny if clicking on the interface elements at the top did something? Or if you could actually click the tick box in Clippy's word balloon? (I tried, lol)
In terms of gameplay, it's definitely a much more solid platformer than is typical for Ludum Dare, although it isn't perfect. I found myself sliding off of platforms a lot, especially when trying to go fast. Also, the rotating blocks at the beginning didn't make a lot of sense to me.
The music and 'voice acting' is great. Some gameplay sounds would enhance the game feel substantially. It would also be nice if there was more variety in the voice lines. Hearing "it looks like you're writing a letter" over and over again reminded me of "put these foolish ambitions to rest," lol.
I hate rage platformers, but you put such a cute spin on the idea that I enjoyed myself (I tried racing clippy a few times, but there was no way I am good enough to finish)
Thanks for the game!
I like the character design and general aesthetic. The robotic voice-over and lounge music were good choices. The controls feel pretty good, but a little bit slide-y sometimes on the moving platforms. Also, the AI is a bit predictable in the way that it follows your exact moves, and I think it would have been fun if it tried to chase you in a more dynamic way (though, that probably would have been difficult to pull off in a game jam!). Overall I enjoyed playing!
I really like this! Clippy following your exact movements made the platforming much more interesting imo. If the controls were just a bit tighter I think this experience could be something very enjoyable, I felt like the character was a bit too slippery sometimes.
I love the use of clippy with the theme. Very funny. I think the controls need a bit of work. Felt a bit off. Otherwise it was a very good submission.
God I'm bad at plateformers. I don't know how I managed to out plateform Clippy but I did, and he will now haunt my nightmares.
Would play again.
