You were not kidding about the controls being hard. Took me a while to figure out the directions are relative to the potato's orientation. I'm also glad you suggested the gamepad. I can't begin to picture how difficult it would be to control with a keyboard.
In the end it is a fun game to play and the googly eyes left me chuckling, even after I accidentally caused myself to fly the whole way back to the start. What I'm trying to say is to me the difficulty made this fun.
I'll be coming back to this one to master those controls, I want to see the end!
This is one tough game! Beyond the control aspects that are the expected difficulty of the game, there doesn't seem to be any indication of where to go. Also, while the wiggly eyes are an awesome touch, they affect the physics of the potato itself. Consider reducing the mass of the pupils down to 0 to reduce their effect on the rest of the physics.
Wow that is reaaaally difficult! I really like the concept of moving the arms in directions to navigate. At the moment the controls are still a bit unpredictable, but I see good potential in the idea!
It's super hard but sooo unique! I was able to pass only the first obstacle haha then kind of gave up. I would recommend making it easier for the beginning and increasing difficulty as you continue forward so that you have some time to get better little by little while still continuing with the game. Great music!
Thanks for playing guys! Added navigation arrows.
I had a lot of fun with it but gave up after a while. Sooo haaard ;_;
Still, great job!
This is really difficult but it has potential!
Super difficult. But good job and good job for finishing the jam! Thanks for posting
Although very challenging, it's a cool concept!
This game was way easier to play if you lock the sticks in one direction and just treat the game like an old lander simulator. I would maybe suggest add more major checkpoints, making the game more punishing for large failures "Getting Over It" style. Overall, that potato really was pretty unstable.
Haha, the movement reminds me of the shooting in Drake of the 99 Dragons. ^^
hahahahaha that is extremely funny :D
I made it very far, although not quite to the end apparently. I got to a very long stretch of jumps where you could fall all the way back down if you weren't careful, alllllmost made a jump super far up, and proceeded to fall all the way down to the bottom. It did make me quit the game, but it was also great to have that sense of significant risk. I had a lot of fun making it as far as I did, quite an enjoyable mechanic. I'll probably come back and replay this one some time, I wonder how close I got.
This was so hard with a keyboard. It was super hard to control. One thing which could have been improved is to add some sort of friction. Great game overall though!
I manage to go quite further but then errors became too sever and i fell back to a looot before. Nice challenge but meybe for me it is a bit toom much :)
haha, very fun to play!
really hard game but also fun. i found that by just leaving the booster directions alone and just firing the rockets worked best.
