I moved around and mined and found a few resources. Having the instructions and goals follow me for quite a while (instructions) and forever (goals) was a little annoying. It would have been nice if I could see where the resources were - I felt like all I could do was mine for a while and see if anything turned up. The bombs were exciting, but I only had a limited number, and again, I couldn't see a good strategic place to use them. I did like the bird following me around.
Thanks for playing @dob.
I will improve the experience and put the goals in the HUD (as I will do with the timmer and the hearts of life). Then the gaming experience will become clearer.
Press [return] to remove instructions from controls faster.
There are a group of creatures in the dungeons (bats) that can kill you and your bird.
Your bird will fly more slowly if it passes through a region with gas.
Note that the mine is unstable, so don't break every type of block you see ahead (there are some important building blocks).
I'll still improve the mining system... And I'll add the other sound effects that I produced during the time of composing and didn't finish implementing.
Thank you again!
:) Cool game! I also was a little frustrated by the goals overlay always hiding most of the screen.
Also, my bomb went off, and the game went crazy! Probably what was supposed to happen, but it was a lot of shaking!
I also liked the bird.
Thanks, @ukulelefury! :) I will make some testes in order to improve de experience based on what you said too. :)
@kellenkarol, I plan to reduce in quantity and magnitude, and change the type of shake for the camera. I also thought about putting something in the menu that would allow me not to have a shake screen or something like that.
Thanks for playing! :)

Like others said - the camera shake was insane :P
Thank you, @lilkrit. I am thinking about a better way to make screen shakes. :)

Like other comments noted, cool concept, but having more info in the UI would have helped a lot! Knowing how much time I have left and what else I need to look for would have helped the experience a ton!
@rjmarzec, thank you for playing! :)
I jumped into my own bomb out of curiosity and I don't think the camera stopped shaking and it hurt my eyes a bit.
@matthewrobo... :o I'm sorry if it really hurt your eyes. o.o
If you are speaking metaphorically I would say not to use the bomb on yourself... Hahahahah.
But seriously, as others have pointed out, I urgently need to improve the way I handle screen shakes.
The game was delivered very quickly, but I will take this as a learning for future opportunities.
Thank you so much for playing and for commenting.
Neat game! Those are some powerful bombs! Unnerved by the dark horrors I unearthed - man knows not what he has wrought.
Hahahahahahahah. Thanks for that, @animawish.
Well it scared the pants off me, when I put down a bomb straight away, and ruptured the whole level. Very unstable. Soon got the hang of it, and met the creepy demons. Reminded me a lot of mining in Space Station 13. Took me a moment to realise it was more top-down, then a platformer. Very cool. Liked the retro sound vibe.
@fromthechasm, thank you. Maybe the bomb exploded that much because of some area with gas in the mine. Did you check if your bird was slower in any region?
The screen shake is just too much for me - all feels so unstable  But seriously, it really hurts my eyes to look at it after a while. Especially after putting down the bomb - it just kept shaking, and shaking, and shaking much too vigorously. Even simple mining produces too much shaking.
I also noticed a problem with the camera. Not sure if it's on purpose or a bug, but it just stopped following me. I could leave the screen, go mine in some direction (even gather things, judging by the sound), but the camera was stuck in place.
More feedback for the player would also be great. Some clock to see how we are doing on time. Some counters of things gathered.
I really liked my birdie friend :)
@fabula-rasa, thank you for your feedback. I will improve all that you said. o/
Not bad, well done for going for a Compo over a jam this time! With more time, using the bomb could've made for some interesting interaction with roof collapse etc. Since the game is silent too, when the bomb went off I nearly had a heart attack.
