That walrus is terrifying ! When you're collecting eggs and that thing comes towards you, you really feel the pressure, great mechanics. I also like the old school visuals and sounds.
This was very hard! I only managed to rescue 2 eggs on my best run; that walrus is just so fast. It seemed my best strategy was simply to dash for the nearest eggs to the start, hope to harvest 1-2 before the walrus got there, and then from there the thing was on top of me forever. Maybe I'm missing some more effective strategy though! The initial dive from the cliff is a cool moment, and I like the sliding mechanic for sure. The animation on the penguin is great as well!
that was a nice experience, but i kinda feel the soundtrack didn't really fit the game itself. It didn't really immerse me in the world, another thing is the gameplay, eggs were so hard to pick up, why just not do a pick up button like "E"? Aniway, the concept was nice and still had fun playing your game :) congrats dude :)
This is intense; that walrus is menacing. Only managed to get like 4 eggs on my third attempt though. But good job, it looks great!
Thanks everyone for playing and for all of the comments! That walrus sure is a bastard, you really have to play it careful and not under-estimate him.
Overall, I had a lot of big ideas that could have made this more of a "real game" but I'm at least happy that I used the jam to try my hand at some new things - even if they wasted all of my time lol
Quite challenging but fun! The walrus is really terrifying haha. Took me a few tries till I finally managed to rescue some eggs. (Don't ask why but at first I tried a bit too long to jump on top of the higher hexagons only to finally realize that it's not possible and that there's no need to since the eggs are located on the lower ones lol)
Interesting game! Sliding around was fun but hard to get the hang of. Nice work with walrus - it was scary!
Any game that uses hexes automatically gets extra points in my book, well done

Sonic the penguin! :smile_cat: Is there a way to jump up on the higher platforms? Only managed to get two eggs safe on my seconds run. I had more eggs on my first run but miss understood and thought the goal was the other side, not the same side as you start from, my bad.
It was rly fun! I see some problems with AI of the enemy, but overally I had fun!
