I like the peppy music and graphics! If the game were updated I would like to see a way to shuffle or detect a loss if there are no possible moves left. The gameplay is tried and true, and the hints had a nice animation.

@nbumgardner thanks for playing -- i am trying to get an update posted so make sure to try it again -- i fixed a lot of issues and there is even more to do
Match 3 game - and just like that you got me :)
I do not know if there is a bug, or I'm doing something wrong, but every time I go to the game, the timer does not start and both score and item I collect are not counted. Anyway, I like the art style and the cheery music is nice!
P.S. I clicked Go before the waiter stopped talking, that could have been the problem. Great idea!
I think the game could've been more unique, but it was fun to play and polished! Nice work :)
hard to pull myself away from these match 3 games. this one is no exception! the art is very satisfying too :)
The tutorial is too long. Not a fan of match 3, but there is something in it.
Loved the pixel art! Tutorial was a bit long but im sure my candy crush addicted mom would love this!
This game was pretty fun as a match 3 game. I appreciated the occasional hints that would come up for the less puzzle-minded as well as the very generous timer. I did note a few issues, the incoming blocks wouldn't render for combos, the hint could just be wrong for a few seconds after a match, 4 of the icons used incredibly similar colors which occasionally made finding patterns difficult, and the game actually crashed after I finished half the houses. I'm assuming the crash is from running out of houses to spawn a quest marker above as it happened when I was halfway through. Overall great polish and I'm glad you had a tutorial, although I never did figure out the punishment for matching too many peppers.
Well, it crashed after a long while of playing, maybe it couldn't handle having ~17 minutes on the c lock? Perhaps I should have tried beating levels slower or something =P
I could tell this was a Godot game while I was playing because it has the same occasional audio glitches my games suffer from, so glad I'm not alone in that. Perhaps one day we'll find a cure...
I love Match3 games, though, and if it hadn't crashed I would have beat this game. Unfortunately, the music is nice but a bit repetitive and the controls feel just a bit, have-to-wait-for-the-animations-to-finish-but-there's-no-animations in the match 3 segments. The chili peppers weren't all that threatening except in chain reactions from the newly-spawned pieces at the top. Whether or not pieces had gravity felt a little inconsistent at times.
Still, good work!
Impressive game for three days of work! It's a good thing the hotness bar resets after each level and cools down with time! ^^ I like the music and the sound effects are pleasant. The kitchen items also look nice. No major criticisms come to mind, just that some other games are more innovative and have stronger connections to the theme.
Great visuals! Love the smoke effect pouring off of the chili pepper meter. Music was good too, but not enough variation to carry it through the entire play time, and the sfx were satisfying. I think the interpretation of the theme was a bit shaky, but the game itself enjoyable and polished! Didn't encounter any bugs, which is especially impressive considering you did everything on your own! Well done :)
Super polished and really cute looking. I love the overall theming and the matching icons looked adorable. Although some of them were hard to tell apart at a glance. I really liked the hints just slowly animating after a time if you couldn't find a match :3
I did see one small issue, where two new items dropped down, and they got matched with (what seemed like) an item that was just above the board but out of view. Otherwise there were no real other bugs or issues though!
I thought the little waiter man was cute and I liked the level chooser screen. Overall, really well done, I played it for a lot more levels than I expected I would because I'm typically really bad at matching games!!
Super addictive, lol. Got so far on my second playthrough after finding out that you weren't kidding about the chilis :P Although after one level it just crashed with the audio weirding out
But super nice. And while not exactly clear what to do from the start it's very easy to pick up from the first playthrough.
The soundtrack is excellent!
Nice match-3 implementation! I really appreciate all the work you put into the details surrounding the core gameplay. The little story / tutorial-ish walk-through at the start was really nice (it's something I'm basically always bad about doing in my stuff, so it's always cool to see it done well), the graphics are bright and match the up-beat music, and the smoke coming out of the stabilizer as it heated up was a nice touch.
Gameplay-wise, I would've liked to have some kind of pumped-up risk/reward with combos - maybe the points earned scale up with a multiplier or something, but the heat built by chilis grows in the same way? I always like trying to set up big combinations in these sorts of games, but it didn't feel like it had much of an impact on winning / losing.
There's a little quality-of life things I like in these sorts of games that would be cool to see if you're looking to do more dev on this one: being able to lock in your next move while the current combo is still finishing is super nice when I'm just clearing out a couple of small sets, really helps keep the pace of the game moving fast.
I did have an issue like some of the other folks mentioned - a crash pretty late in the game. We'll just say it's all part of the theme :D
Anyway, nice work on this one. I think you did a good job taking a classic sort of concept and putting it together from scratch in a fun, bright package!
Oh, interestring concept! Haven't played match3 for a pretty long time ;D
Liked the step-by-step tutorial. Cool match3 mechanics (though sometimes I was suggested to match peppers, which as I understood is bad), and waiter-style visual & elements.
Music & sounds are super good. Well done!
very addictive! really enjoyed playing it!
nice job! My game crashed at the end, but i spent good time anyway :)
Fun take on a match 3 game and nice art! It was actually pretty challenging trying to avoid the peppers.
Very classic match 3 gameļ¼ Super fun to play!
