This is a really fun game! I really like the little quips and having tons of boxes thrown out of the truck everywhere! :D

I liked it. My favorite part was the text when you deliver things, or spill things
I love this interpretation of the theme. Also, I agree with the driver @#$%ing truck! I don't thing the game sees this as the truck having rolled over. I also got stuck when under one of the balconies on the white houses. Screenshot 2021-10-05 002156.png
I love the bouncy truck physics and snarky comments. Unfortunately I couldn't get throwing the packages to work, I could only drop them.
@iori-branford where you left clicking and hold while dragging the direction you wanted to throw then releasing? If you were doing it like that can you tell me more about the hardware you played on?
I am sorry you didn't get to experience the paper boy like joy of chucking packages at houses.
@tiranice the spacebar / handbreak is usefull to drift and save some roll overs. Thanks for reporting the bug about getting stuck upside down against the house. We are going to work on this game more after the jam it was so fun we want to add achivements, other drivers etc.
I like this, very unique compared to all the other games. Big and open is nice. The truck controls were a bit floaty (I feel like it should turn quicker) but very fun.
A lot of fun! The driving was a nice balance of responsive and chaotic. I also had issues with the package throwing however, and was only able to drop them
Not sure why, but I'm having a slideshow-level framerate on pretty decent hardware. Hopefully I'm the only one
Pretty fun; a little janky to control at times, but that's to be expected from a physics-based game like this :)
Good job!
Very fun! Might be better if I could turn the truck easier and there was BG music. There were some notable bugs tho: sometimes pressing R to reset doesn't do anything, and the on time delivery can go to negative numbers which is strange. Anyways fun game, good luck if you plan to continue this game!
I never thought making delivery was so difficult. The name of the game even makes sense
Good job, accurate simulation of what it's like to drive a delivery truck. :)
Thanks everyone who has rated and left feedback so far (keep them coming please!) We had so much fun making this and throwing packages we are going to continue working on it after the jam.
@infantgrandpa where you left click holding dragging the direction you wanted to throw and then releasing? If so could you tell me a bit more about your hardware?
@zazz0000 I wonder why you were having bad frame rate. We tested on a few different PC's and all were getting close to 100 fps. Can you tell me a bit more about your hardware?
@codechomper AMD 3900x, 2080, 64gb ram... the only thing i could possibly think of is that i'm running a 3440x1440 resolution, but even then...
@zazz0000 Hum, yea I am running 3440 x 1440 myself. It shouldn't be an issue, all the Geo is low poly. I even tested it on my son's computer that has an AMD card. Even ran well on an older laptop. I wish I knew why you had issues with the frame rate, so strange. I really wish you could have experienced the way it was meant to be. Thank you for your info on your system, I will read up on packaging settings to see if I can optimize it even further.
@codechomper I'll try it on a different machine, that will probably fix it! It's probably something ultra hardware specific, or whatever I have running in the background, etc. I doubt it needs optimizations.
It shouldn't be as laggy as it is on decent hardware.
@validdark , I have had one other person mention bad frame rate, could you tell me more about your hardware to help figure out what is going on. It should be buttery smooth I am getting near 100fps at 1440p. I had one time where it was stuttering and I exit and relaunched the game and it was fine I chalked up as a fluke.
Thank you. I like racing games so much and with UE5 it looks great! Can you give some advices about using Enreal Engine in jams? I used to scared to use it but you showed it is not just possible but also pretty cool. And minimap is better than in CyberPunk 2077)
@alex-chertilin I was worried about using it too just because the lack of a web export option. We have been using Unreal since the release of 5 preview. Lumen and Nanite where big attractors for me (Nanite wasn't used in this entry but Lumen was). The speed of the blue print system and their UI tools (UMG) allowed us to build this fairly quick. Also the landscape tool + the foliage system where used. For 3D games I have converted from Unity but I think I will still use Godot for 2D (I haven't tried UE's Paper2D system yet)
I like the idea even if I've already seen another game (in this LD) with the same idea.
The map is pleasant to ride around. The truck is little bit to slow but funny to control. You should add support of gamepad controllers. It seems to complicated to control the throw power, maybe a hold and release could be easier. The map look great, but the light is little bit to shinny (some part looks white).
Overall, great job
I struggled a lot on the corners because I was driving too fast, but otherwise, a very solid game about some angry fedex driver throwing packages around because they had bad day with their truck rolling over all the time and dropping packages by accident. Good job on using UE5 for this!
I like the stylized, low poly look. Fun driving mechanics!
Unfortunately my PC isn't powerful enough to run this at more than 1fps :disappointed:
(I have an Nvidia GTX 550Ti, it's about a decade old at this point)
Hey, your game has some similarities with mine. Although I wouldn't dare using UE5 for a game jam. Nice you did! Looks very beautiful though and not just because of the engine. I like the art too.
The idea is cool. But I still did not understand how to properly throw the box.
