It was good fun! I don't know if it's cheese but I basically covered my (albeit zoomed in) screen in marines and a few APCs and it seemed to work a bit too well. When the BioBomb detonated the only button that worked took me back to the main menu, so I don't know if there's more than one 'level', but I enjoyed what I played. Overall, experienced a couple of bugs (hehe) but overall good job!
Thank you very much for your entry - I hope you had great fun making it
I liked the idea - had a little trouble with figuring out how to build :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: But just lacked sleep I suppose
I hope you'll drop by mine and give it a spin
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
Looks like @lakshyaisagod just copy-pastes his message to everywhere...
Anyways, I had the same problem what purpledartfrog had. Couldn't understand how to build and why. I tried several things, but I'm not sure if I got it right what to do exactly. Plus, on my retina macbook it's so small, I could barely see what's happening.
really enjoyed this, the graphics are neat and i love a good rts, i agree it was a little difficult to figure out at first but once you figure out you have to select the builder then which things you can place mines on it wasn't so bad
Hey, game is fun and wierd but in a good way, music should be volume down, but idea of a game is intresting.
Things I liked: - RTS! - interesting art style - bugs feel like they are realy swarming; good sense of danger
Improvements: - as others have said, the music is too loud; should be a mute available or a volume available - more color contrast between the units and the background would be nice
Bugs: - I found myself often not being able to build buildings even in the builder circle; and also could not 'drop' a selected building in many cases.
Thanks all! Just FYI there should be a volume setting in the Help & Options/How To Play menu - you can also mute sound and music with M and N.
basically same thing as all the others, took me a little while to figure out, but after I did it was some good old chaotic fun!
It's cool that you built an RTS for the web. I'd like to try that sometime. The music was good. It's cool that you can zoom in and out.
Haha! I love this submission! Thanks for this game!
Super challenging! It's impressive the amount of features you managed to implement well done. I especially liked the way you have to survive until the caravan arrives. I also experienced a bug others have mentioned where you're unable to build. Nice submission :)
Thank you for playing! By the way @haztro @bw-devel - thanks for reporting the build bug, I think it's a problem with the scene reloading after the first round. Refreshing the page probably fixes it but I'll see if I can push a patch.
Wow an RTS in this short amount of time, great game!
Neat concept -- and kudos for tackling an RTS in a jam. A couple of quibbles: I found the text was small and difficult to read. That probably contributed to how hard I found it to figure out what to do at first. Despite that slow start I had fun and was amazed by how many systems your game had!
Going for a full RTS is such short time... you're crazy! :) Very well done. The graphics is a bit chaotic IMHO and it would really help to have a bit less repetitive music. But the amount of feature you managed to squeeze in this game.. awesome!
Nice little RTS! I liked the graphics and audio, it all has a nice lofi vibe and everything gets suitably chaotic after a while.
That's really impressive to make a RTS during Jam, well done! I like the 8bit music, that fits with your graphics and your "retro game" mood. Maybe adding a small tutorial and visual/sound feedback in your game could really improve it and help/encourage players to understand all your mechanics. Anyway, great job!
GG, well executed and interesting RTS, first time I test a RTS in Ludum Dare. I feel like I was watching some starshiptrooper film. I had to retry coding RTS.
Fun little game ! It lacks a bit of depth, i'm not sure there is a more efficient strategy than spamming units everywhere, but that was quite fun to play ! Well done it must have been a challenge to implement rts gameplay for a jam !
