Fun game, took me a while to understand that the number was the amount of bullets I had. The shooting is a little overpowered, even if you shoot at every wall, you gain bullets just as fast as you lose them. With some more polishing and sound it would be even better.

Addicting game. :)
Thanks @dzefris and @newrybenson! I had a lot more planned for this game (mainly music and SFX), so I'm working a little bit on a post-jam version now :) I'll try and come up with a better way of indicating the ammo, perhaps an icon next to it could work. Thank you both for playing!
cool graphics! I agree with newrybenson about the bullets, but i liked the speed at which it got harder, and it felt very balanced if you avoided shooting when possible. maybe some other powerups could make it more exciting, or slightly adjusted controls (so you can go in corners, or in the middle (in hindsight you may be able to do this and i just didn't notice)) overall, cool game with pleasing graphics, would be nice as a mobile game.
@washington-irving Powerups are a really fun idea that I hope to implement in the post jam versions. Awesome feedback, thanks a lot!

It is too easy to go deeper without moving camera at all. You need just shoot out forward by one bullet per once if you see obstacle. You need implement at least unbreakable boxes as additional obstacles.
Anyway, I like how game is look like. I hope you will get 20 reviews by the end of jam.
@alprog Thank you for the feedback, I agree that I needed something else to motivate the player to move and look around. My original idea for this was to have the ammo coming from above, but it proved to be really inconvenient to look up all the time. Maybe the ammo pickups should give a lot less ammo but be much more likely to spawn, encouraging the player to jump around and try to grab as much ammo as possible. Other things I could've included would be powerups and more things to avoid (perhaps moving obstacles?) but yeah, time management is hard (that's why I haven't found any time to play other games to get my 20 ratings yet too).

neat idea! i agree with what other people have said here (too many bullets, bit easy). when i first played i didn't understand the goal was only to do down as far as possible, and i started shooting all the boxes in which case i was about to complain about the lack of aim maneuverability and cross hairs, but then i realized this was meant to be a dodgey game and not a shooty game and those decisions made more sense. something that was a bit annoying was that i would often change side too soon after i thought i had gone through a box pattern and then die by colliding with it, so i guess i with the hitbox was lower. nit picks aside i like the aesthetic and claustrophobia.

Nice design for a simple concept. Not too much to the gameplay but I liked the look a fair amount.
easy idea,execution of the top
Super cool concept! I almost reached 1000 depth. The difficulty definitely gets challenging when you get deep enough, though I found that I didn't really need to shoot very much in the beginning. The controls for switching walls is very intuitive and easy to understand.

It's a cool and interesting idea of a game! I like the concept I think it has a lot of potential to grow into a proper game where you have plenty of upgrades and different power ups. The aesthetic is really pleasing but its lacking an awesome sound track to make it pop out, maybe the deeper you go, the more it sounds like trap music or something hype. I'm sorry you didn't get to develop all you wanted but thats sometimes how game jams go, but congrats on the game you managed to pull off anyways! I hope you get ro 20 reviews so you get a score since I think this game deserves it for sure!

I like the low res look! The difficulty scaling is nice, but it never got to the point where I couldn't keep up with just movement. Maybe some patterns that were completely blocked and required shooting to get past? We both put our counters in-world on the side of the tube 😃.

I really liked the idea of the game and also the art style of it! Very entertaining and enjoyable, I would add like a more variety of objects you can grab to make it more stifaying. Great game!
It really could use some audio, but i like the gameplay a lot!

I like the gameplay! Just think that the walls need to look "meaner", didn't fully understood that they'd make you lose the game in the first couple times
